London and Oliver are adorable. They are cute and fun and light. I loved that London’s son, Leo, was so involved. London is an amazing single mom- her priorities are always for her son and this being told in first person showed this. Oliver( Ollie) is the sexy soccer coach shop loves kids and is the greatest guy. Together they were an adorable couple and I loved how their relationship developed. This was a sweet and easy romance and I think it was a phenomenally quick read. I think that anyone who enjoys an adorable heroine and a hottie Englishman would like this story. I did love seeing characters from previous stories and look forward to the next installment in this story.

Steam level: Simmering- could have been sexier.

Tropes: Single Mom and Sports Romance

Thank you to Dreamscape and NetGalley for the chance to read an advanced copy of this audiobook.

I really liked this story. I'm a fan of all of Emma Hart's sick, fun stories. It was great to hear this audio. Really enjoyed it.

An easy going, fairly predictable romance. Light-hearted and breezy with likeable narrators. I breezed through this one fairly quickly and enjoyed it.

As always you can view my posts also at www.instagram.com/angelsmomreads Thank you to @dreamscapemedia and #Netgalley for my ALC in exchange for my honest review.
I gave this book 3 generous ⭐⭐⭐, what saved it was the sexy British Soccer coach and the Narators who did an amazing job, I kept listening till the Epilogue..now I want to read book 3 ..because it sounds like the steamy sexy book I was hoping for in this one. Available on Kindle ❤
I. I chose this from the title expecting a humorous story with failed attempts at speed dating..like my fave scenes from Hitch..you know when Will Smith wasnt really in the mix but wanted to be? Nope we barely knew speed dating was happening. I wouldn't have drawn the reader in with that..
2. Not enough steam.. this is a sexy David Beckham meets prince Harry soccer coach...what the heck London? I just wanted to smack the character. He wants to walk with her..she complains.. he makes a reason to come see her..to practice with her son..he likes you.. he is in it! And she was rambling nonsense. Ugh.🤦‍♀️
I think there was too much time wasted on the exhusband, and his issues , Too much time worrying over the exhusband spending time with the son..he was a good Dad, he wanted to be there with his child honestly refreshing in this generation. One scene with Dad would have been enough..next!
But I want to know more about this town. I do like series that have inter connected characters, much like Alexis Daria's Primas of Power... minus the 🌶🌶🌶🌶.

This is my second book by this author. It was just okay. It's cute, sweet and funny. I loved London's personality. She was such a great character. The book just didn't have a lot of depth or conflict. I was waiting for more to happen and then it just ended. I listened to it in audio. The narrators did a great job. Huge thank you to the publisher and to Netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book.

The Introvert's Guide to Speed Dating
by Emma Hart
Narrated by Avery Reid, Will Watt

I was provided an arc of this audiobook from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media in exchange for an honest review.

This is the second book in a trilogy “The Introverts Guide To…” Online Dating is the first book; which I also listened to and loved. Then the third book is Blind Dating.

While this is a trilogy - the trilogy is a spin off from 2 previous series following a group of friends. The One Night Stand Next Door/The Girl Next Door. The Bookworms Guide to Dating/Faking It/Flirting. While it’s not completely necessary to have read these books previously I can see where it would make the pay off more enjoyable.

There is much less evidence of previous back story for this book than in The Introverts Guide to Online Dating. Some back story is indicated but I did not feel like was missing anything like I did with the previous book. I don’t even think it’s really essential to have read the previous book to enjoy this one. So this one can be read as a standalone in my opinion.

This was a shorter audiobook coming in at less than 5 hours something you can easily listen to all in one day which is sometimes just what you need.

This was a great cast of characters again especially the side jaunts to visit the wacky grandparents in the nursing home and their chickens but they were not quite as integral to the plot as the previous book.

I love the alternating male - female narration. The narrators were phenomenal and sound quality could not have been better.

As a parent myself it’s nice to read about other parents sometimes. Our heroine is a single mom to a young boy. The child’s father left her for another woman but even though their is some residual trauma from that experience and from unexpectedly becoming a parent at a relatively young age; bio dad isn’t really painted as a real bad guy just a human who makes mistakes. And aren’t we all? Our hero is the sons soccer coach who is also British - so great with kids and an accent - swoon.

This was a fun, short, small town, contemporary rom com with plenty of steam. 5/5

This was super cute.
The pairing was sweet as can be and developed nicely considering the book is only 5 hours long. The narrators were good, I liked that one had a British accent. It was a nice touch.

This was a cute story that I listened to. Overall the story was a little bland. There wasn't much to the plot and it ended quickly. I kept waiting for something to happen but it never did.

This is the perfect book for summer or when you need a something light and fun. All of the books in this series are fairly short (300 pages or 5 hours on audio). They are all quick reads and they don't take themselves too seriously. Emma Hart is my go to when I need a rom-com that is lighthearted with fun characters and a happy ending.

I was provided an audio arc of this book, all opinions expressed are my own. I thought the narrators Avery Reid and Will Watt did an amazing job with this. They gave each character, not just London and Oliver a voice so you always knew who was speaking in a conversation. I really appreciate that in an audiobook and I really thing they did a good job brining the characters and the story to life.

If you've been keeping up with the happenings in White Peak, you will recognize the cast of characters. If you haven't, don't worry all of the books are standalones. I would describe them as companion novels set in the same town following the same friend group. Each book centers around a different couple, but there are references to the same people and places throughout. This particular installment features London, who has moved back to White Peak after a broken engagement has left her a single mom. Her family and friends decide that she needs to get back in the dating game and participate in their speed dating events. No one clicks until one of her dates is her son's soccer coach Oliver. Oliver has moved to White Peak to help out with the new state of the art sports facility as a soccer pro. He isn't entirely sold on staying stateside, but he loves coaching the kids and London might just be reason enough for him to stay. When the two of them find themselves spending more time together as Oliver, Leo (London's son) lessons for the upcoming soccer tournament and London interviews the trainers and coaches at the sports center for an article she is writing for the local paper, they can't deny that there is something there.

I really loved Oliver and London together. This isn't super angsty, so if you are looking for something that is going to rip your heart out and make you ugly cry, this really isn't the book for you. This is sweet and slow, with moments of humor and heat. This also is fairly tame in the sexy department, they take it pretty slow and don't every actually make it to the bedroom. If you are looking for a more spicy or smutty book, this also isn't it. That may come as a surprise to many readers. This has alot of sweet and tender moments between the London, Leo, and Oliver as they try to figure out their relationship. I also really enjoyed how the relationship between London and Christopher (her ex & Leo's dad) was portrayed. She didn't like him all the time or how things ended between them, but for Leo's sake she was always cordial and even polite to him. As usual there was a ton of great banter between all of the characters, not just the MCs.

This particular book also hits a bit of a soft spot for me. I played soccer myself and I'm a boy mom. All of those wonderful things Oliver said about sportsmanship, working hard, and sports teaching life skills are things I want my kids to learn from sports. Winning is fun and all, but at the end of the day I'm trying to put decent humans out into the world and sports taught me alot about leadership, perseverance, teamwork, and working toward a goal.

This particular book was missing the dose of retirement home antics from the grandparents that I've come to expect from these books and Emma's books in general. She always seems to have an awesome grandparent character that makes you laugh. This group of friends has some zany grandparents that all live together and they are hilarious. We did get a little bit of Grandma Rose, but the elders of White Peak usually get a bit more page time. I'm not sure what they would have added to the story, but they always add comic relief. I'm sure they'll be back in the next one. If you haven't read the related books, you won't know what I'm talking about and you won't miss them.

This is another great installment to the series and the White Peak universe. I love these books and highly recommend them in print or on audio!

There was something so simple and sweet about this romance from Emma Hart. I loved pretty much everything about it. London was a boss. She was a single mother who was balancing work and taking care of her young son. She didn't have time for romance -- no matter how many times her family tried to get her to speed dating events. Her son, Leo, was adorable. I loved his dedication to wanting to be a soccer goalie and how London supported this. It was especially fun that that dedication led London to meeting Ollie. Ollie was Leo's British soccer coach. He was one of those great guys who is amazing with kids. I loved how London and Ollie's relationship burnt slowly.

There were a few things that kept me from giving this one 5 stars. First, the title doesn't fit. London does not come across as an introvert and speed dating is a very little part of the story. Second, I can't decide if I missed Hart's normal sarcastic banter and steam. Neither would have fit London or her relationship with Ollie, but it's been so ingrained in Hart's romances set in White Peak. Now that I wrote it out, I actually think it's a positive. It might not be for readers looking for those two things, though. The final thing is that everything wrapped up at warp speed. I wanted more for and time with London and Ollie.

Overall, this was a fun read. It's a great book to relax with and very cute. It isn't as steamy or witty as her other books, but I found that to be refreshing and different. The narration was top notch and brought the story to life in the best way. I'm now very interested in seeing where Hart takes the next book in this series.

The Introvert's Guide to Speed Dating by Emma Hart is a fun and punchy romance. I was immediately drawn in by the charming characters and punchy dialogue. This is the second in this spin-off series and I enjoyed it more than the first. It's easy to follow without having read the other book(s). The novel was sharply written and moved quickly.

The book revolves around London, a single mom and journalist; and Oliver, her 6 year old son's hunky British soccer coach. They run in similar social circles, but are both apprehensive to pursue anything further. I found them both relatable and charming and enjoyed their chemistry. I do wish they got together earlier and it was a little steamier, but I enjoyed the story. I listened to the audiobook, which was very well narrated and enjoyable. Overall, it was a fun short read.

Thank you Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for providing this audiobook ARC.

London is open to finding someone, but finds the task daunting. She is a single mom, so it isn't just her to consider. Then she starts to fall for her son's soccer coach- someone she knows does well with her son and her son likes. But he isn't necessarily staying in town permanently.

I had some issues with The Introvert's Guide to Online Dating, but a lot of it was feeling lost. I could tell that even though it was book 1 of a series, it was a series spun off of a different one. There were a LOT of characters and I felt lost. Being an avid reader, I also know that sometimes book one is necessary to spin off, but the characters from the former series disappear as the story goes on. This was not the case. However, I found it more tolerable. Maybe because only a handful factored into the story- the rest were mentioned and it didn't really impact the story.

This was definitely better than The Introvert's Guide to Online Dating. Don't get caught up in the whole speed dating, it is not very prevalent to the story.

I listened to the audiobook. The narrators were both clear and easy to understand. Will Watt did make me cringe- especially when speaking dialogue- it came off.... arrogant?

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you Net Galley for an audio copy of The Introverts Guide To Speed Dating by Emma Hart. I liked this book, just not loved it. It was very short for an audiobook and I feel like the story suffered for it. The characters were not fully developed so you can't get fully into the storyline.

The Introvert’s Guide to Speed Dating is a small town, single parent romance told in dual, alternating first-person POV. It is the second installment in The Introvert’s Guide series; though it is technically stand-alone, it is deeply connected to some of the author’s other works that may provide more character development if read first.

After enjoying the first installment in this series, I was ultimately disappointed with this story. The main characters, London and Oliver, felt flat and under-developed and lacked any meaningful connection or chemistry despite having belonged to the same friend group for some time prior to the beginning of this book. There was also no steam in this romance (not even a closed door scene, just two kisses that lacked passion); that may or may not be a deal-breaker for some readers, but I expected more given the content of the previous book in this series.

The one aspect of the story I enjoyed was the role of London's 6-year old son Leo. Oliver was Leo's soccer coach and thus had an established bond with the boy, and I loved seeing that relationship blossom as London and Oliver grew closer.

I also loved the narration by Avery Reid and Will Watt. The character of Oliver is British and Will Watt's accent was honestly the thing that kept me invested in listening to the full audiobook despite the less-than-enticing storyline.

Despite not living up to my expectations, I am glad I gave this story a try and will be interested to explore the next installment in this series to see if it rates a bit higher like the first did.

Although not my favorite, I still thoroughly enjoyed it! I love learning more about all the characters in this series. I wish we learned some more about London and Oliver’s future (I love a good epilogue).

I love the narrators, they were perfect for their characters!
