An absolutely adorable story and the perfect audio book to play in the car, whether you are alone or have children with you.

Have you ever made snow angels? I know I have. However, I have never given them a single thought afterwards ... not so for Author Maggie O'Farrell.

This is a modern-day fairy tale about the bravery of children and their openness to wonderous things.

Sylvie wakes up one night and sees something magical. In her room is an Angel ... a Snow Angel.

This Angel tells Sylvie that he (yes, the angel is male) is there to look after her. Because of his intervention she is diagnosed and treated for what would have killed her without his intervention.

This is a heart-warming tale told in audiobook format which is the perfect way to discover this story and to share it with your family.

I rate this audiobook as 5 out of 5 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐⭐

Thank you to #NetGalley and to the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this wonderful tale.

Waking up one night to see a pair of wings made of snow-white feather, Sylvie is met by a snow angel who tells her that he is there to look out for her. Months later after recovering from an illness, Sylvie tries things - dangerous things - to conjure up this snow angel. She wants to talk to him, to see him, to thank him for saving her life, but will she ever see him again?

This was a charming audiobook for children and those who are young at heart. The story is cute and young readers will find it easy to follow. I enjoyed the audio narration and this charming, heartwarming book.

A perfect read (or listen) for a snowy day!

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved this story! This is about a little girl who meets her guardian angel, the snow angel, and after he saves her life, she finds herself growing insecure about feeling safe and protected when she doesn't see him anymore. She eventually realizes she doesn't need to "see" him all of the time to know he is there protecting her and wants everyone else to have that same sense of security she gets from her own snow angel. The main character, Sylvie, is a very sweet and likable little girl. Her thoughtfulness and desire to provide everyone else with the same positive feelings she has is a lovely lesson for all children.

The narrator did a beautiful job creating the sweetness and wonder of Sylvie and the kind, yet slightly gruff, snow angel. I thought the narration and pacing were perfect.

One night, Sophie wakes up to find the snow angel she made last winter in her room, come to save her life. Despite his insistence that she won’t remember him once she is better, Sophie does. She continues to think of him and tries to do things she hopes will make him appear again. It doesn’t work, but she realizes that he will continue to be there, unseen, when she needs him.

This was such an adorable book! Charming and magical, this story touched my heart. Ruth Negga did a phenomenal job of narrating the audiobook, although I would also like to read the physical book sometime to see the illustrations. I plan to buy a copy for my nieces. This is a book that adults would be happy to read and reread with the children in their life. I highly recommend it!

Many thanks to NetGalley for providing me an audio ARC of this book.

This enchanted, modern fairy tale by Maggie O'Farrell has a lot to offer both children and adults alike. The illustrations by Daniela Jaglenka Terrazzini are beautiful, and the audiobook version with narration by Ruth Negga is captivating. I personally found the most important aspect of this book is the flexibility of the symbolism of the snow angels. Author O'Farrell tells this story in a way that it can explain or support beliefs on enchantment or spirituality, without favoritism or indoctrination. You might think this is an odd consideration for a children's book, but I've run across quite a few lately that are agenda focused, and could ruffle some feathers. Where Snow Angels Go is a magical, enjoyable story sure to stir a child's imagination.

I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

The concept of a snow angel becoming a guardian angel is brilliant! I also thought the narrator in the audiobook was superb. The only issue I had with Sylvi's story is that this fantasy is so believable. It makes me wonder if kids would believe snow angels would protect them from harm and how disappointed they will be, especially if hit by a loved one's passing. Also, for those who live in places where it doesn't snow, how disappointing not to have a snow angel! LOL
A cute fantasy book non-the less. An audiobook was given to me by Netgalley, but I was not required to give a positive review.

Sweet Story, Amazing Audiobook

Audiobook Review
This is a sweet, fantastical story about snow angels and what happens to them after they are created. While we rarely see them, apparently they live on and watch over us, helping us out of sticky situations and when life is harsh, according to this story. Snow angels are supposed to be invisible, but when the book opens, a little girl sees hers and has a conversation with him. I love the way the book ended, with the little girl making a special request of her snow angel to spread the joy of making snow angels with those she loves. This would be a perfect book to read or listen to with your child before making snow angels of your own.

While I've been a lifelong reader, I am relatively new to audiobooks. When I saw my first children's audiobook, I'll admit to being somewhat surprised. I wondered why a simple children's picture book couldn't just be read by a parent or caregiver to the child. As an avid reviewer, I have listened to a few children’s audiobooks but have come away unimpressed. But this particular audiobook has opened my eyes to the wonder and magic a child's audiobook could be. This book is not simply narrated; it is acted by a very talented Irish voice actor. Her accent is light and lilting, not as difficult to understand as some accents can be. The way this talented lady narrates the book makes listening to it a joyous delight for both parent and child. The only thing I wasn't wild about was the use of music at the beginning and end of the story. Particularly at the beginning, I thought the music drowned out the narrator; it was not so intrusive at the end. While I haven't seen the actual book, I can highly recommend the audiobook.

What a sweet story about a girl and her snow angel! I can't wait to share this book with my students this winter. They will love the idea of their snow angels becoming guardian angels. The narration is beautiful and a perfect fit for the tone of the story.

I liked this book a lot. It was really enjoyable, cute and super adorable and a very short and quick listen too. This was a unique perspective about snow angels and such that reminded me of when I use to love doing snow angels and wondered about angels when I was a child.
The narration on this was wonderfully done and added to the story bringing the characters and the world to life even more. This was a fun audiobook and the narrator was fantastic for this. The narrator really portrayed the childlike wonder, joy, humor, awe, and happiness perfectly in this story.
This story is about a little girl who wakes up in the middle of the night one night and she's not sure why and then she sees this snow angel in her room talking to himself. The snow angel introduces himself to the little girl named Sylvie but he's upset because she can see him and he says she's not supposed to be able to see him. He tells her he was sent there to save her life, to help her, and then when she's better she shouldn't remember him, but she does. She starts to think about and remember him all the time and tries to find a way to get him to reappear to her. Then she tries to find him, get him to reappear so she can get his help with getting a wish granted. Sylvie has to get her snow angel to appear so he can help her to make it so everyone can make sure they have their own snow angels to watch over them. It's a lovely, heartwarming, and adorable story that's especially perfect for this time of year. I can't gush about this enough and recommend that you put it on your list and make sure to read it when it comes out!
Thanks so much to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for letting me listen and review this wonderful and enjoyable magical story. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Where Snow Angels Go, by Maggie O’Farrell was 35 mins of easy listening. I loved Ruth Negga as the narrator and would love to hear more from her.
This was precious and I love to make Snow Angels. And I’ve since learned where they are and why they’re so precious. I found it enchanting and highly recommend it to a younger audience.

I absolutely loved this audiobook! The audiobook was brought to life by the melodic voice of Ruth Nege.? I, as well as the little girl, Sylvie, thought the story was all a magical tale. This theory is quickly set aside by the angel who states it is science. He says Sylvie won’t remember anything about their nighttime conversation,,but she did. I was given an advance copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review, I will definitely be recommending this book to my family and friends. I had an audiobook, but a book probably will have beautiful illustrations and is sure to become an instant classic to be read to children everywhere every snowy winter. Thanks to the author,#MaggieO’Farrell, publisher, #DreamWorksMedia, and #NetGalley#WhereSnowAngelsGo

Oh this was beautiful little book I will be buying this for my library and my grandchildren. This is just a sweet little book beautifully narrated by Ruth Negga and I am shocked to see this is her only narration (at least on audible) her narration added to this beautiful story. I will be curious about the paper book to see the illustrations! 39 minutes long. I honestly listened to this twice back to back it was such a beautifully written and narrated story!

Highly recommend this beauty!

Disclaimer- I received an audio copy in exchange for an honest review- I did not have a physical or digital copy with the illustrations.

I felt like I was missing something without the illustrations- especially because the cover is beautiful. Therefore, I will only speak to the narration.

Ruth Negga, the narrator, does a great job. Everything is clear and easy to understand. The book is well paced. There is instrumental music in the background at times. Overall, the audio was done very well.

But, again, I think the experience would have been better with the illustrations. So I would absolutely recommend using the audio along with a copy of the illustrated book.

Where Snow Angels Go audio
by Maggie O'Farrell
Even on audible the book is amazing, i can't imagine what the pictures show. The idea of guarded angles and snow angles is twisted into a magical story about hope, love and protection. This would be a great story to introduce winter it young students. I like the science and the magic tied together, not countering each other. Its a reassuring image of someone is there to protect you.
