This is a great idea for a book of poetry. I’m not super familiar with tarot imagery and meanings but the poems seemed to go along with them based on what I know. I really enjoy a quick read for a book of poetry and the imagery was lovely.
I would recommend this to people who are interested in or knowledgeable about tarot cards and are looking for a short read.

Very short 15 minute read. Some beautiful sentences, but mostly brainwaves. Neither tarot related, nor the stuff I would take for the apocalypse.

I'd like to thank Elektra Flowers and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this in exchange for an honest review. I loved the idea of this and found it to be super unique, and as someone who is fond of Tarot I immediately downloaded it. However, I"m not the biggest poetry fan, which may change my feelings a bit from other reviewers. I thought that some poems were really good and connected to the cards in an excellent way, but there were more that didn't stand out to me and seemed random instead of connected to a card. It's one of the better poetry books I've read, but I was left wanting more from the stories and connections.

This collection of poems is a short read that touches on the Major Arcana.

Based on the title and description I was expecting something more than what was presented. I was excited to dig into these poems, anticipating that the meaning of each tarot card would be deeply incorporated within each poem. This was not the case. The connection between each card and poem is either very vague or superficial. Ultimately, the premise is unique but the execution did not resonate with me.

The idea is so cool and the poems are equally inspired. I am just starting my journey with the tarot cards but I know I will use this text as a way point.

I really didn't enjoy this book.
In theory using the tarot for a stimulus for poetry sounds really cool - however, the poems just felt too random. They didn't connect at all and I didn't feel anything when reading.
I know poetry is very individual, and unfortunately this poetry collection just wasn't for me.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and the author Elektra Flowers for early access to this poetry collection.

What a lovely collection. I think anyone who practices tarot will like the structure and imagery of this poetry. The poems are given the titles of major arcana cards and has a rhythm and tonality of an actual reading. I found it to be soothing and interesting, and I really enjoyed the lines that popped up multiple times in different poems, adding to the intimate and personal nature of the collection. Some standouts for me where "The High Priestess", "The Devil" and "The Star". But, if you're wondering if you can enjoy the collection if you are not familiar with tarot... absolutely. I didn't find them to be too abstract or removed from human experience. While they do have a "mystical" quality they are often grounded in a sentiment that you can recognize as very real life.

While not every poem was perfect for me, and while the style was not the one I normally gravitate towards I did truly enjoy this collection and the vulnerability shared by the author.

This is a short, easy-to-read collection of poems. It is likely a better fit for someone who is familiar with tarot, the cards themselves, and the symbolism. However, I definitely enjoyed searching for images of the cards to view while reading each individual poem; it was helpful to follow some of the imagery the author used.

Such a beautiful book of poems, matched perfectly with their respective tarot cards. A perfect gift for witchy friends!

I found this difficult to relate to; however, I do realize that my relationship with poetry is complicated and that my opinions on this one may not speak for everyone. The concept is wonderful, but the words didn't resonate with me like I hoped they would. I've always felt very connected to the tarot archetypes and this didn't speak to my relationship with them, so I was left wanting more from this.

I picked this book because it was so different then most books I am interested in. I thinks it’s great to try books outside my comfort zone. I have been trying to read more poetry and tarot subjects certainly are not something I know much about.

So, I really enjoyed this book. Incredibly satisfied that I decided to read.

My favorite poems were, The Magician, with this line ‘You set fire to the world with a wave of your hand. I have no choice but to love you’ The second one was The Lovers, and the ending line, ‘Let them love what is more then themselves, let them love in a way that belongs to no one else’

Electra Flowers writing is beautiful. The collection of poems she selected were a perfect blend. I would recommend this book, especially to readers new to poetry. It is lovely and intriguing material.

Thank you NetGalley, Elektra Flowers, and BooksGoSocial for an ARC of this book. I very much appreciate it.

Thank you so much to Elektra Flowers and @netgalley for sending me a copy of "The Tarot Cycle: Poems for the Apocalypse" in exchange for an honest review. I am currently going through such a love for poetry so I couldn’t resist this collection, with links to spirituality!!! 🌚

I loved every single line in this poetry book. It is a small one but it packs a punch and I feel like the author did SUCH a fab job – I read it before bed the other night and completely devoured it in one sitting. ❤

I 100% want a copy of this for my shelves and I know a few of my pals would love it, too! Does this sound like your vibe? 😘

Thank you to Elektra Flowers, BooksGoSocial, and Netgalley for a free copy of "The Tarot Cycle: Poems for the Apocalypse" for an honest review.

I cannot resist poetry or tarot things, which made this on a mad dash necessity the second I saw it. I loved every single page of this small poetry book. I felt the author did such a good job writing each of the poems for each of the Major Arcana and I found myself highlighting/underlining so much all throughout it. I absolutely want a copy of this for my shelves and I know many friends who will, too!
