Can’t believe this is book 13 in the series and it just keeps getting better and better!

I found this to be a superb read, which kept me guessing and which kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. Very good novelist. Exciting, engrossing, page turner. Keeps you involved even if you know it's fiction. This book was definitely a winner for me! Top marks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love this Author’s writing. I love this series. This book is phenomenal. The setting (a conference at a ski lodge) has many suspects for who is killing people. There were many times I was on the edge of my seat holding my breath. I sure wish the Author could write much faster. Waiting patiently for the next instalment. Thanks to NetGalley, Bookoutre and the Author for allowing me to read and review this book.

This is one of the most anticipated books for me. It is the 13th book in the Alton and Kane series which is one of my favourite books.

This characters like Alton, Kane and Wolfe I see such growth to these characters and I have loved to see them from the 1st book till now.

I love the way that they all tend to mix together so well and really pushed each other to be the best they can be.

The writing conference is what really made me love it as it was an angle that I had never thought of this. As someone who eventually wants to be published this book made me push back and think if this is publishing maybe it's not for me. Then thankfully I remember this is fiction and I still want to get my stories out to the world.

This book was so addicting it kept me reading long after I should have been asleep. I found the story so riveting that I couldn't out it down. It felt so real and I was tingling with anticipation as to who is the next to die.

Amazing book and I didn't want it to end. I was sad when it did as I thought the story was an amazing success and just I wanted more more more.

Thank you to #NetGalley, #Bookcouture and the author, #D.K. Hood for the opportunity to read "Fallen Angel" in return for a fair and honest review.

Well, here we are - it's book 13 in the series, but really only the 12th Kane and Alton book, as Book 12 was the Dave Kane origin story. But nonetheless, it's back to the business of serial killers in Black Rock Falls:
“It’s a friendly town, apart from the serial killers. Do you have any suspects yet?"

When Sheriff Jenna Alton and Deputy Dave Kane are called to the Glacial Heights Ski Resort in response to a report of a body trapped under the ice of a pool, and thus begins the latest in the ongoing serial killer sagas in Black Rock Falls.

This time, the victims are all from a Book Convention - authors, publishers, agents and readers. Included in the group is an author who has written a series of books about the killings in Black Rock Falls (sound familiar, folks?), and Jenna wants to get her copies autographed.

It quickly becomes apparent that "Miss Storm", the woman frozen in the pool, was the victim of a homicide, and the Sheriff and her crew, including the Wolfes, Zac Rio and Dave Kane begin their investigation in the midst of multiple snow events, which leave them all but stranded at the Resort with a killer; one that has a member of their crew in his or her sights!

This particular killer seems to be matching his modus operandi to books which the victims were involved.

As always in this series Dave, Jenna, Shane, Zac and everyone else work tirelessly to bring the killer to justice, but internal tensions make it even more stressful.

With the help of Ty Carter and Jo Wells, FBI agents who are brought in due to their expertise in psychopaths, the perpetrator is eventually brought into the light, but not before some truly harrowing scenes of murder and mayhem. [“There’s a head in the kitchen freezer.”]

Along the way, the relationship between Dave and Jenna seems to splinter and we're left wondering if they can mend the breaks (don't worry, you'll find out before the end).

Highly recommended, but you really should read the other books in the series to truly get a feel for the characters and settings.

Ooooooh!!! This book was almost like the game clue! Lol the story was set in a hotel\inn the characters were snowed in at the hotel AND there was a book convention going on!! The crazy bad character was killing people according to the way certain deaths occurred in certain books!! It was a little graphic but it was a great story!! Filled with intrigue, suspense, action, murder and mayhem! I definitely enjoyed reading this book! Its well worth reading!! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
