A funny and helpful book on how to control the fidget inside of you. Sally Ann cannot sit still and it leads to some dramatic and hilarious scenarios. Then her principal gives her a way to hold the fidget at bay. Loved the illustrations and the story.

This book is bright and fun with a clear message of how important and useful mindful breathing can be. Sally's character is very likeable and I can imagine young children giggling about her name and joining in with the line 'Sally Ann McFidgetbottom, please keep still'. The rhyming is sadly a little hit and miss, but it is still a fun book for young children.

This book was so much fun! I have a child with a "fidget bottom" and he loved it! This was a great book for helping him feel normal.

I can see this one bringing a lot of giggles but also helping kids who have trouble being still or experience adhd.
Sally is a fun character and her mishaps are common.
I like the rhyming of the story and the tempo it helps create.
Love the diverse characters too!

There is a very tight line to tread here between pathologizing Sally Ann for her need to move and fidget and acknowledging how disruptive and destructive that can be, especially in a classroom setting.
I did appreciate that, when Sally Ann was sent to the principal, he responded with empathy and taught her a mindfulness technique to help manage the urge to fidget. However, that was the only strategy presented and I didn't catch any attempts to make her classroom environment adaptive, so I'm a little concerned that Sally Ann is still being labeled "wrong" or as a "problem". I would proceed with caution trying this book in class and maybe run it by the school psychologist or special education team first.
The illustrations were very lively and the rhyming stanzas generally worked well. This would be appropriate for pre-K and early elementary reading.
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

As a first grade teacher this is SUCH a cute book for little kids. It's all about a little girl who can't sit still and control her body. It shows the frustrations everyone - teacher, classmates, Sally herself encounter when a student can't get the wiggles out.
I love that the book is rhyming as it will keep students engaged, and the pictures and antics Sally get herself into are quite silly.
This is a book I feel a lot of kids can relate to and it shows them dealing with their fidgets in a positive way. I can't wait to read this with my class!
Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this cute book!
