I had no idea Woman Last Seen by Adele Parks would end up with a follow-up, but now I'm actually glad I waited to read it so I could move right into that. The way this one ended left me with a lot of questions, and I really appreciated the fact there is a second book. This was a crazy ride that had twists I wasn't expecting as well as some very disturbing content. I didn't have to wait too long to see how the characters fit together, and while it might not have needed all of the different viewpoints, I enjoyed them all. I especially liked Detective Clements's POV, and I probably would have loved the book more had it just been hers, Leigh's, and Kai's viewpoints.

Laura Aikman narrates the entire audiobook, and I liked the way she handled all of the different characters. While she didn't do anything to differentiate them, the plot is easy enough to follow along with that she didn't really have to anyway. I would gladly take more novels with Detective Clements as the focus and Aikman as the narrator, but I am not sure I will get them and that's ok. I think it is best to go into Woman Last Seen as blindly as possible and just let the story take you away. The only character I truly liked was the detective, but don't let that deter you because this is a thriller that can't be missed!

Two married women disappear on the same day in this head-hopping tale from Adele Parks. Kai and Leigh are both missing and there's a connection between them. I don't want to say much more than that so I don't spoil anything.

This is a slower paced, character driven mystery of the disappearance of the two women by DC Clements. She is the most interesting of the characters as she tries to figure out what happened and I liked her very much.

Overall, a satisfying story by the end. It's a bit slow in the beginning, with random punches of twists and turns along the way, but it is the characters that propel the story forward, which gives it that slow feel as you get to know who they are.

Great book but disappointing ending.

two women go missing who are seemingly unrelated but as time goes on, it seems that there is more to meet the eye with these two disappearances. You are soon sucked into the story and Parks does an amazing job keeping you guessing. Unfortunately though I found the ending to be really disappointing.

This was a pretty good read--I liked it, but I really didn't love it. I felt like it was pretty slow and predictable with a few twists in between. It just really didn't bring any strong feelings for me, really middle of the road.

This was a really great story and idea. I was honestly in the dark for a good portion of the book. Only late in the game did I start putting together the obvious clues and little nuggets of information the author leaves for you. These are the types of stories that I greatly enjoy. Something that keeps your mind engaged and not just reading to see what you know is going to happen play out.

Two woman that both lead completely different lives go missing. Two woman that never would have crossed paths with each other, let alone be considered the same "type" to an obvious string of abductions. Yet something isn't sitting right with the two detectives assigned to the case.

A book that will have you guessing until the end. I can't recommend this enough. A definite must read.

This was a very good thriller. It was a little bit of a slow start for me, but I definitely got it finished and I would highly recommend it to my friends who love the thriller genre.

2.5 stars rounded up. Unfortunately, the first book I finished this year is not going to be a favourite. I don't blame the author here at all. I read a lot of thrillers and this one just didn't hit the mark for me personally. There are a number of great reviews out there though, so please check those out as well.

At one point I almost considered not finishing. It was very slow to start and I found myself getting a little bored waiting for something to happen. But then, it did finally pick up a little bit and I was able to finish. While it was entertaining enough to keep my interest, it was just ok.

I did like that it was told from multiple perspectives. It helped to give a little more insight and see things differently. It had just enough excitement to make me want to see what happened.

Unfortunately, it was predictable. I knew fairly early on where the story was going. This is my main reason for a lower rating. I also didn't care about any of the characters at all. I didn't like a single one of them and ultimately didn't really care what happened to them.

Overall, entertaining but not great. A bit slow and a lot predictable.

Is it merely a coincidence that these two seemingly unconnected women have gone missing in the same week, or is there a link between them that will offer up some clues as to their whereabouts?

This is a gripping, multi-layered read. Told from multiple perspectives, the narrative weaves its way through a desperate search, one that will yield some truly shocking revelations.

This was my first Adele Parks book and certainly not my last! Woman Last Seen is about two women, from completely different backgrounds/worlds, who go missing at the same time. From the outside, there is nothing whatsoever connecting these two women to each other; however, the investigating detective thinks there is more than meets the eye.

Told from alternating perspectives of the women, this was a fast-paced read with lots of twists and turns. A fantastic domestic thriller!!

What can I say about an Adele Parks book? They are consistently bingeable and suspenseful. The twists in this book make the plot more intriguing and propelled the narrative.

I have previously enjoyed Adele Parks, so I was taken by surprise by how much this one DIDN'T work for me. I found the shifting perspectives really difficult to get into, and most of the characters so unlikable that I couldn't really get into it. I'm hoping the next Parks I try is a better fit!

Thrilling and realistic novel of figuring out what is happening and why are these woman disappearing from their families and lives. Many scenes kept you on edge and could not put it down!! Started to feel a little slow to get into, but pace picked up as the pieces were falling into place.

It is slow build in the beginning but the twist that really kicks off the story is worth the wait. But that ending...left me shocked. It will keep you guessing until the very end.

I listened to the audio, it was so well done and very engaging. The plot was kind of predictable but it was entertaining and well-written.

Leigh Fletcher and Kai Janssen have both disappeared without a trace. Their husbands are distraught and DC Clements, the investigating officer, is somewhat skeptical. At first it would seem that the women have left voluntarily and their situations probably don’t even meet the criteria for missing person cases. But, as more information is gathered, it appears that the two cases could be connected and the disappearances aren’t as simple as they first appeared.

Woman Last Seen has a great premise. Two missing women from different types of households. A dedicated and smart investigator (and the only character I really liked). But, the story and its plot just didn’t work for me. It started out pretty slow, there are lots of clumsy backstories, and the story itself just seems poorly executed. The main characters are unlikable, some of their actions are mystifying, and the ending is simply disappointing, leaving the reader with several unanswered questions. I really wish I had enjoyed Woman Last Seen, but it fell far short of my expectations.
