I really wanted to love this book! It sounded like such a great read, but I found i was disappointed with more of the book than I would’ve liked.

The story starts off agonizingly slow. It’s taken me this long to force myself to keep going and push through to the end hoping it would deliver and in some ways it did. The plot twist was great, but I feel like the storyline lacked a sort of climax. And the ending was absolutely unsatisfactory. So many questions left unanswered.

I give this book 3 stars because some parts really drew me in. However, this book really left a lot to be desired.

Well written and keeps you wanting to know more throughout the entire book. My only issue was I know who the bad guy was pretty early in. Still a good read though.

While this book started off a little slow for me, once it started picking up, it turned into a phenomenal story. There was a little bit of everything in this book, and there were so many twists and turns that there was always something that I hadn't figured out until it happened. I loved the realistic ending, something you don't see in many mystery/thrillers. I'll definitely be reading more by this author!

DNF. Unfortunately, this was a book I started multiple times but could just not get into. I appreciate having the opportunity to read this book, it was just not a good fit for me as a reader. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for my gifted review copy.

It took me so long to read this story because I didn't connect with any of the characters,

Leigh Fletcher and Kai Janssen are both happily married women, who both go missing without a trace. Their husband reported them missing and the lead detective thinks they possible left on their own. Did they or did something bad happen to them? Several twist and turns most of them I seen coming, a couple not so much.

This is a hard book to review without spoilers. I was looking forward to reading this as the author reviews were great. It didn't live up the hype. Just because I didn't enjoy this story doesn't mean you wont.

Thank you net-galley and HQ for the copy

Unfortunately I do not think this is the author for me. This “thriller” trudged along with only two big moments to catch the reader’s attention, the first being a good 1/3 of the way through the book, where I it appeared the story would suddenly pick up. It didn’t. The story was simultaneously unremarkable and unbelievable and I struggled to get through it. It took until the final pages for the big “twist” to find out what happened, which made little sense given the details from earlier on. This was not was I was expecting from the description and therefore, fell flat for me.

When Detective Clements receives two separate missing persons reports about two missing women; both very different: one a wealthy socialite, the other a down-to-Earth step-mom, she initially thinks the two cases may be unconnected. Maybe these are cases where two women just walked away from unbearable lives? But soon she discovers that maybe they're connected after all, and that something more sinister may be at play here...

As other reviews have mentioned, there's some big twists here, which I should've figured, given the last book I read by Adele Parks (Just My Luck) was fun of them as well. So It's going to be tough to discuss this one in any kind of depth. But suffice it to say that there's a lot at play here and it had me second-guessing the characters and their intentions and motives throughout the entire book.

The ultimate ending was another great twist that was I didn't see coming until it was right up in my face, but somehow it was exactly the right ending for the book. It made sense in the context and provided closure to some of the other plot lines that had been at play throughout the rest of the book.

Again, I can't say too much without giving things away, but if you're into twists and moral dilemmas and some good mystery/thrillers, this is one you're going to want to pick it up.

Once I figured out what was going on, I ended up putting the book down. I am not a fan of this sort of book because I'm not a fan of cheating. The main character never seemed like she would take accountability for her poor choices. I honestly didn't care what happened to her in the end. I did peek at the ending and am glad I didn't finish it. Not a fan of endings like that.

Having previously enjoyed this author’s other books and writing style, I knew I would like this one! Two women with completely different lifestyles go missing and Detective Clements is left trying to figure out if the two cases are connected. I could not turn the pages fast enough to find out how the two cases were related and when it was revealed my jaw dropped! I thought the reveal was very clever. I did NOT see that coming at all! Although I figured out who the perpetrator was towards the end, it was still a very entertaining read. I highly recommend this to fans of domestic thrillers.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

WOW, wow, wow. I did not see that coming. I don't want to give anything away, so I suggest readers go in blind. Woman Last Seen will keep you guessing. It is a thought-provoking read I can't stop thinking about—what a fantastic thriller.

When two women in the same city go missing the same week, their families are distraught. Leigh’s husband and her two stepsons are lost without her and Kai seems to have left her luxurious penthouse life with Daan.

This is a fast, intriguing, suspenseful read! I flew through it. There’s a huge twist early on, that to be honest I had guessed from the very beginning, but I was surprised by some of the twists later on! It’s a fun thriller with a unique concept! Not always the most realistic but definitely entertaining!

Thanks to Mira Books, HTP Books, and NetGalley for providing me with a digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

I've enjoyed several Adele Parks books and this one was no exception. This is a gripping domestic suspense that kept me interested from start to finish.

This was a good thriller but I think better for new readers to thrillers. I figured it out pretty much right away. That of course if ok to know but I just wasn't really surprised by anything. Overall it was written well and I it's the type of story you don't have to pay too much attention to as an audio book and can do other stuff while listening.

This book was such a wild ride! I am convinced that domestic thrillers always have the best plot twists. This story is about revenge, jealously, deceit and betrayal. I did not see the finial plot twist around the 40% mark coming but it kept me hooked on the story. When I tell you my jaw dropped to the floor reading come of these plot twists I am not exaggerating. Although slow at times, the characters are soooo interesting and different from each other that it keeps you interested. I wish that the story was better wrapped up at the end! You really don't get much closure which is my biggest pet peeve when there isn't going to be a follow up novel. Highly recommended for fans of Lisa Jewell!

Leigh Fletcher is happily married to Mark and is a step mom to Oli and Seb. Leigh and Mark met while she was out with her best friend, Fiona. Leigh helped Mark with a little mishap at the park that involved one of his son’s. Soon after, the two began to spend more time together, fell in love and got married. Leigh lived the ideal suburban mom life.

Kai Janssen is living the upscale, busy, married life alongside her husband, Daan. They don’t have a desire to have children of their own as it would disrupt their lifestyle. They’re both in love with their existing lives independently and together.

Both women go missing in the same week. Their lives are more connected than anyone close to them can imagine.

This book had me on the edge right up to the end. I wasn’t expecting that twist. I had numerous suspects in my mind as I was reading. The end proved that those closest to you might just be hiding their true selves

Thank you HarperCollins Canada for the eARC!

Leigh Fletcher is a married consultant and mother to two stepsons. Her job takes her out of town every week from Monday to Wednesday. When she doesn't come home one Wednesday evening, her husband Mark contacts the police to report her missing. They are suspicious of him, as well as possibly thinking she has run off. Detective Clements starts her own investigation and learns about another woman, Kai Janssen, who’s gone missing at the same time. Her disappearance is reported by her wealthy Dutch husband, Daan. Her instincts tell her the two cases may be connected so she asks to investigate both. Both women seemed to have vanished inexplicably, without a trace.

Hold onto your hats when you pick this one up, because nothing is what you think. There are a series of twists that took me by surprise, but were also believable. The story is told from multiple points of view but the backstories and plot are told from Leigh and Kai. I felt for both of them, but also felt they were not reliable narrators. As I got to know their stories, I also got to know their husbands and waffled between suspecting them. The more I listened, the more theories I came up with and the more suspects I had. This was a story that had me gripped from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading until I had it all figured out. Well, the story ended and I was so wrong in my guess, but the culprit was definitely one who fit the crime. I really enjoyed this story and applaud Adele Parks for her entertaining and original story.

What an intriguing plot with some great twists! The first 1/3 or so of the story felt a little slower for me to start mainly because there was a lot of story building that had to be done to describe the two missing women's seemingly very separate lives, but after that there was a pretty wickedly good twist that really kept me hooked for the rest of the story.

This one was fast-paced for the majority of the book and I really enjoyed seeing a troupe that is normally done by male characters carried out by women, it was a great twist on a relatively highly used plot that really bumped things up for me overall. While I did kind of guess what was happening for the last 10% or so, it did have a pretty satisfying ending.
