Even 28 books deep into the series, it seems I’ll never get tired of the antics and exploits of Stephanie Plum and company.

All the usual suspects are present, as well as a few new characters who I hope we’ll see again in future installments. Series devotees will also be happy to see the return of the mysterious and intriguing Diesel.

Otherwise, it’s business as usual for Stephanie and the gang, though their business is, as always, hilariously far from usual. Grandma Mazur is her delightfully entertaining self, and Lula has a hilarious animal-related incident almost right out of the gate.

Nothing much has changed in Stephanie’s Trenton, but unlike with most series that don’t evolve, that’s a very good thing.

The audiobooks for these are a good option if you want a light listen, and though I’m still no thrilled with how the narrator handles a few of the characters, for the most part the book is just as enjoyable of a listen as it is a read on paper.
