I just loved getting to enter this world. It was just so easy to get lost in and I just had so much fun with these characters. I look forward to reading more wonderful stories in this series.

I adored Ana and Oliver's story! It was so much fun watching these two find their HEA! I can't wait to see what Gabrielle has in store for us next!

This is the first of the Daring Ladies series and also the first time for me reading something by this author. I am always looking for new authors to follow and this one is surely a keeper! I was pulled into the story from the very start and was completely engrossed till the end. The storyline was well crafted with plot twists that had me turning the pages, anxious to see what happens next. Oliver and Ana were wonderful characters and I enjoyed following their story. The author did a really nice job of bringing the characters and story to life. Ana and Oliver have one unforgettable night together, but then she later learns his true identity. His father was the one responsible for her family's ruin and ultimately her father's suicide. Oliver is completely enamored with Ana, but she wants nothing to do with him. If only her attraction to him and feelings wouldn't get in the way. But Oliver will have to work hard in order to earn Ana's trust if he truly wants to be with her.
This was an entertaining and engaging story filled with intrigue, drama, and romance. A very well-written story and a wonderful start to a new series. Looking forward to continuing the series!

I requested the first two books in the Daring Ladies series and it was my first encounter with Tina Gabrielle's writing. They were both so pleasant and I love it when risks pay off so beautifully. Both books featured POC heroines who were proud of their heritage and celebrated their Middle Eastern culture in every aspect of their lives. One Night with an Earl hits the ground running where Ana plans on a single encounter with a mystery hunk only to find out shortly after he's being forced to court the daughter of her employer. Ana was previously part of the gentry, but has been relegated to a young lady's chaperone after her family fell from grace. The class difference between the couple was an excellent form of conflict and helped continually build the tension throughout the novel. It was a welcome respite from the incessant barrage of miscommunication and immature bickering that has become en vogue. The constant descriptions of the heroine's frilly cap and ugly uniform made me chuckle. It was a nice touch that her unflattering clothes really riled up the earl despite the shabby, itchy material.

One Night with an Earl was such a lovely surprise and I'm happy to have added another author to my library. It was nice to see a couple handle their conflicts so maturely, for the most part, and not get caught in the sea of overused romance tropes. The author provided an original story that managed to utilize some well-loved motifs yet still maintaining a completely unique romance novel. I actually enjoyed the sequel a smidge more than this book, which features a boxing teammate of the earl. Ana certainly spent One Night with an Earl, but I'm sure she wasn't anticipating a lifetime!

I enjoyed this book by Tina Gabrielle. This is book 1 in a series. It is about Ana. She has a multicultural background and is therefore not accepted by the ton. When her family is ruined and her father takes his life in shame, Ana is left with the responsibility of making her own way and providing for her brother.
On her 30th birthday, she decides to gift herself with the gift of experiencing passion for the first and probably only time. So she disguises herself as Lady Scarlett and makes arrangements with a madame to pick a man in which to share this experience.
But what was supposed to be just one night, turns into a glorious night of passion.
Oliver, the Earl of Drake, didn't go to the brothel to seek out anything. He just went to keep his brothers friends in line. But when he sees the Lady in Scarlett , he is fascinated. They're night of passion was something he can't forget. He wants to know who she is. When she won't reveal her identity and the madame won't tell, he hires an investigator. He will not rest till he knows who she is.
There several twist to the plot that continues from there.
I found the story intriguing. It kept me interested. My only disappointment was in the secondary storyline. I didn't like that Penelope and her soldier were rewarded with the estate Rosedown. I thought that should have been kept in the family.
4⭐⭐⭐⭐
I want to thank Netgalley for the opportunity to review this book.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either, it was so underwhelming and really not engaging.
The book held no character or any significance difference between it and literally every other historical romance out there.
The storyline could've been more interesting if the book was a little bit more fast paced, some parts got me so frustrated because of unnecessary stretching.
The characters were okay, if not a little bit bland.
Overall, not a nice experience.

I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher. This in no way impacted on my view.

Ana Gardner may have been born to privilege, but after her father's death, she's been forced to become a companion. Nearing her thirtieth birthday, she's adamant that she will lose her virginity before her birthday, and so she disguises herself as Lady Scarlet, and agrees to spend the night at the city’s most elite brothel, the Silver Chalice. There she meets a handsome stranger, and they spend the night together, never to see each other again - or so she thinks. When Ana discovers that Oliver, her lover, is in fact the Earl of Drake, who's father was responsible for her father's death, and who is set on courting her charge, Lady Penelope, Ana hopes more than anything that he doesn't discover the truth. But Oliver soon realises that his Lady Scarlet was Ana, and he's out to get her, forever.

Well, this was a fiery read. Ana and Oliver's chemistry was out of this world, and the fact that Oliver was the one to fall first, and hardest, was a joy to read. I liked the premise of Ana taking her life into her hands, and wanting experience satisfaction and passion, no strings attached. Ana's past is slowly revealed to us, and I appreciated that she had had to reinvent herself as Ana Gardner, in order to save herself, and she had done a good job of it so far. Some parts of the book were a little far fetched, but nonetheless, it was a quick and enjoyable read.

I liked this book even though the plot is highly unplausible. The story moved quickly and I liked both of the characters. However, I felt there were some loose ends that were never dealt with. I would have liked for Ana to tell the Earl about how horrible his brother was towards her.

Ana Gardner wants one night of passion before her approaching thirtieth birthday. She’s been living under an assumed name and working as a chaperone since a scandal ruined her family name ten years ago, so wearing a mask and assuming another persona for a night at the Silver Chalice, a high-end brothel, is no hardship.

Oliver Bedford, the Earl of Drake, has no interest in debauchery and is only at the Silver Chalice to mollify his late brother’s friends. But everything changes when he catches sight of Lady Scarlet. One night with her isn’t enough so he sets out to learn her true identity.

When Oliver arrives at her employer’s home, Ana is appalled to learn the identity of her lover. Oliver’s father is the man responsible for her family’s ruin and her father’s subsequent suicide and now Oliver is intent on courting her charge.

Oliver hasn’t been interested in any of the debutantes he’s met, but he’s very much interested in the chaperone, especially once he realizes she is the Lady Scarlet he’s been searching for. She says she wants nothing to do with him, but her actions say otherwise. Oliver is persistent in getting what he wants and that is Ana, but he has to earn her trust to make that happen.

This book wasn’t as strong for me as it could’ve been. It took me a long time to warm up to Oliver as he just came off initially as entitled and a bit sleazy. He’s supposed to be so much better than his wastrel brother and yet, he essentially makes Ana the same proposal of an affair that his brother did, just without the money. He doesn’t really consider, at least not for some time, who Ana is beyond being a companion. It also never made sense to me that Oliver looked for the baron’s daughter and could never find her. with her brother at Eton, presumably still using the baron’s name, I was left wondering why Oliver couldn’t use the younger brother to find the older sister. Oliver’s grandmother’s heavy-handed meddling was also a bit frustrating for me, but I liked that he stood up for himself to her and that she was ultimately the one to make him get his head on straight and see sense. I also felt like it took Ana too long to confide in Oliver, though I did understand her hesitation, and I didn’t think his reaction to her truth made much sense. I appreciated how quickly things were resolved in the end, although I wasn’t completely happy with some of the characters’ decisions. The inner monologues both Ana and Oliver indulged in detailing the reasons they could never be together seemed to be repeated ad nauseum and were fairly easily surmounted challenges in the first place, so this got very repetitive rather quickly.

Despite these issues, I still couldn’t help but root for this couple. I’m very interested in the character of the duke and looking forward to reading his story.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A quick, steamy read. It is worth your time if you are a fan of historical romance. Not much stuck with me in the way of specifics, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

One Night with an Earl, by Tina Gabrielle. Girls you need to hear this. I read this book and I couldn’t put it down. It was that good. Oh not only the love scenes have me going “ga” “ ga”, but it’s the building of the most Exquisite love affair of all time I think.
The writer did a tremendous job at the telling of Oliver and Ana’s love story. All the drama and entertainment kept the pages turning for me. The characters all were entertaining themselves. A few more than others. Mainly the Dowager and Mrs. Malvern.
The story wasn’t to overly dramatic. The depth of the story held the intensity of what a person would do or sacrifice for the happiness and love of another. This story was nothing but pure and sweet. I have to pay homage to the love scenes. They a little naughty and a little wicked, but fun to read.
I recommend this story with two snaps and a twist. Until next time my fellow readers… read on!

I love the author’s books that I’ve read and this is no exception. I found the book engaging with strong characters. Ana (who is a Lady) is a companion to a young lady due to family circumstances caused by the former Earl of Drake). Oliver (current Earl of Drake) is present at a brothel (under protest) where he rescues a dazzling woman in red. This woman is Ana who makes a momentous decision to lose her virginity this night. The way the author portrays the steamy love scenes is touching and really lovely.

When Oliver later discovers Lady Scarlet (Ana) is not a courtesan, he is confused yet so taken with her he wants to find her. His grandmother forces him to pay a call on a young girl in her first season who has a typical overbearing mother wishing for a title. Penelope is the polar opposite of Ana (her companion), fair and only 18. Ana is sultry and almost 30. I get anxious reading a book with this type of scenario, but I was glad that Penelope was already in love with a soldier. How can Ana do her job to try and force the Earl and her charge together when she is dying inside? Events cause Oliver to believe Ana was with him for revenge against his family.

The book was fast-paced and introduced the concept of Ana being of Middle Eastern descent via her mother. I enjoyed the details that were included about traditions of her Lebanese mother.

This book is full of heat, the flames bursting from the pages. So be warned if you are looking for a ‘clean’ romance this isn’t it.

I really enjoy when an author deviates from the stereotypical debutante. Ava is definitely the opposite. She is independen, willing to go after what she wants and above all a survivor. I also liked how the author crafter a character of mixed race and made sure the character was a perfect blend of both rich cultures. She Ava never forgot where she came from and it was her father’s actions that caused her shame not her background.

I also appreciated how Oliver never cared about Ava’s background. He only cared about the woman herself

This is a great read that I highly recommend.

A fun read and my last of 2021. I enjoyed all the information about middle eastern culture. I’m a Lebanese American and it was enjoyable to see our culture and food represented without it being stereotypical or offensive/inaccurate. I loved the romance and relationship between Ana and Oliver. I do wish there had been more character development however. There was a moderate steam level. I would read more of the series.

I loved this book. It was wonderfully written and it was an easy read. The connection that is demonstrated between Ana and Oliver was great. Their struggle with their positions in life and their relationship was one that was authentic. I recommend!!

I absolutely loved this book! I, honestly only picked it up for the cover--but, it turned out to be so much more than I had hoped!

Anahit is an extremely strong woman who has been put through the ringer. Her family's estate was lost when her father bet it in a gamble with the Earl of Drake's late father. Since then, Ana has been at the mercy of whomever will hire her as a chaperone.

In an effort to exert some kind of control of her life, Ana visits a brothel in the hope of having one night where she can make a choice all of her own. This is where she meets Oliver. Unbeknownst to her, the connection between the two of them.

What starts as one night, evolves as they both are drawn to each other.

When the truth comes out, they both struggle to come to terms.

The love and passion between these two just sang on the pages. There was no doubt from the beginning that they were meant to be. Regardless of all the obstacles in their way.

I'm greatly looking forward to more in this series.

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book!

This a first time author for me & I really loved this book! I can’t wait to read more from her and will be waiting impatiently for the next in this series! Ana is our heroine. She’s curvy, spinster, & speaks Arab. Her parents were a love match and different cultures. Ana is working as a chaperone trying to hide who she really is from society. But as Ana’s 30th birthday approaches, she decides it’s time to lose her virginity and experience passion. She goes to a brothel, masked, and chooses Oliver, the Earl of Drake. Oliver has an instant attraction to Ana. These two have amazing chemistry & steam! While Derek tries to convince Ana for more nights together, Ana is hiding a secret. I really enjoyed their story to an HEA. I liked that the drama was low. And the steamy parts was on fire!! I can’t wait to read the next in the series!

Tina Gabrielle is a new to me author and I was definitely impressed with this book, which is the first in the new 'Daring Ladies' series.

It was so lovely to see a multicultural heroine who embraced her diverse background. Ana, the daughter of an Indian woman and English Baron. Ana has had many hardships in her life and is now working as a companion. and approaching her thirtieth birthday. She decides to give herself the gift of losing her virginity to a man of her choice at the Silver Chalice, a well-to-do bordello. She chooses Oliver, an Earl of the ton, and their chemistry and heat flies off the pages. As they find each other again, there are many hardships that they need to come over to be together. The book move fast with a lot of in depth plot. The characters are well described and well thought out.

This new series will be a sizzler!

Fabulous!
Ana is the daughter of a disgraced Baron and is working as a companion of a Lady in London but she wants one night of passion before her 30th birthday and as a result she meets Oliver, Lord Drake who’s family are the ones who won her fathers estate in a bet
I loved Ana, she is independent and determined. She knows what she wants and she doesn’t let things stop her from getting it. She knows she shouldn’t want Oliver but she can’t keep away and I loved this about her, she has a strong shell but is a warm loving character who I would have loved to meet
Oliver didn’t want to be an Earl but he knows that he has responsibilities to his title and he has a matchmaking grandmother who is determined to see him married. He is set up to meet a young lady and it turns out to be Ana’s charge and I will admit I loved his reaction when he realised who she was. Oliver is normally so dedicated to what he must do and his passion with Ana starts to over take his life and I loved seeing him start to unravel around her, he felt so much more real to me and I totally loved him for it
This book looks at a different side of life, that of a companion who was in the upper classes but whose situation has changed and I will admit that I was a bit shocked at the beginning but as soon as I started to get to know Ana and Oliver I started to adore them and got totally wrapped up in their story. Their relationship shouldn’t have been allowed and a lot of the time things are conducted in secret which I think added to the drama of this book and which had me captivated and really really wanting to know what would happen next!
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a romance that doesn’t involve the traditional characters but instead looks at the power of love and desire and asks what is really important in life
