Concluding a series is never easy. When the previous two installments in the series where as good as they are ( and "Straight Outta Fangton" and "100 Miles and Vampin'" are two of the most hilariously in swallowing books I've ever read), the task is even more daunting: after all, the author is already caught lightning in a bottle twice. Can they possibly do it a third time? And if they don't, will it make the entire series seem somehow lesser in the end than it should be?

Well, in "Vampiraz 4 Life" author C.T. Phipps not only captures lightning for a third time, he uses it to forge an end result greater than its individual parts. This book is so good, does such a good job of tying up all of the loose ends, it makes the first two books in the series better in perspective.

If you've already read the first two books in the series, then you're already familiar with the rapid fire pop culture references that pepper the stories with both humor and perspective. Vampiraz has this in spades, and even that serves to provide character growth and depths rarely seen in books this funny. As vampire Peter Stone and his motley crew of vampires, shifters, and other allies prepare for their last great battle, they all learn something about themselves and others that will forever change who they are and how they relate to the world.

And yet the book is still @#&@! funny! HOW DOES CT PHIPPS DO THIS?!?!?

Sorry, that was just the urban fantasy author in me having a little bit of an episode. The truth is, the Fangton series is so good that it's bothers me that more people aren't aware of it. "Vampiraz 4 Life" is a towering achievement, shure to become a classic.

However, I can't help but wonder: what if Kevin Smith DID direct interview with the Vampire?

With Vampiraz4Life author C.T. Phipps bring an end to the Straight Outta Fangton trilogy. Our reluctant hero, Peter Stone, is back for one last adventure…and it’s a doozy! Tensions are high in New Detroit as the past year of COVID-19 has kept tourism to a minimum, meaning blood is hard to come by. But that is only a minor concern for Peter, as the forces of Hades have put out a contract on his life (err…well considering he’s a vampire I guess that would be his unlife?) And honestly, that’s just the beginning of his problems. Before it’s all over Peter will find himself in the middle of a battle between the very forces of Heaven and Hades. Fans of the series won’t be disappointed. Vampiraz4Life has everything we’ve come to expect from the series. Excellent story, plenty of action, and more snark and pop culture references than you can shake a stick (or a stake) at!
