this was very hallmarky. if you like those kind of books then you will love this but it just left me wanting more. I needed more chemistry between them but it seemed very surface level.

A Christmas romance set in Alaska - you know I was all over this one. Not only did I fall in love with Danni and Declan not to mention, I fell in love with Auke Bay, Juneau and all of the characters in town.

Mistletoe in Juneau is a Christmas romance, and as much as the characters make the book, the town of Auke Bay, which is a neighborhood in the city of Juneau, was also a pretty main character of the book. So much so that I looked up the town (a real town, by the way!) to scope it out for future travel plans.

I always enjoy a good grumpy sunshine trope, and Declan is definitely the stereotypical grump. After losing a leg in the Army, he returns to his hometown to be an Alaskan State Trooper. He’s quiet and keeps to himself and doesn’t make friends outside of his small group.

Danni on the other hand, is in Alaska visiting her long-time friend over Christmas and taking a break from her life as an influencer in New York City.

The slow build of Danni and Declan’s relationship felt so natural - not rushed or forced for the story by any means.

I was shocked, however, by how quickly they went from simply exploring a relationship to fully committed to each other. But then again, I am thankful the story ended the way it did rather than with an epilogue.

Mistletoe in Juneau is by Hallmark Publishing, and as with most of their Christmas romances, I could absolutely see this one being turned into a Hallmark Christmas movie.

I listened to this book as an audiobook and the narrator was fantastic - I was always engaged in the plot and there was enough differentiation in voices that it was easy to follow along with the dialogue.

Thank you to Hallmark Publishing and NetGalley for the gifted audiobook copy!

You can only say so many things about a Hallmark Publishing novel, especially at Christmas. Touching and warm, this novel makes you believe in true love and family. I am not sure if this has been made into a movie yet, but it needs to be. With details from both the author and narrator, I can picture it all in my mind.

Recommended for any Hallmark Christmas Lover out there.

I don’t think that you can ever go wrong with a Hallmark book! Danni and Declan were so sweet together and I was rooting for them the whole time! If you are looking for a lighthearted, sweet romance than this is definitely for you!

It took me so long to get through this book, but that is no fault of the book's! I really enjoyed this, but my life changes happened and I didn't have the same opportunity to listen to audiobooks during this time. I really wish I could have listened to this at a faster pace. I'm a sucker for books that take place in Alaska. For whatever reason, it's become one of my favorite settings! This book was a true Hallmark story, which I loved, and I would love to see this one turned into a movie. I enjoyed listen to the characters and learning more about them. They were relatable and real, which I enjoy. I would definitely recommend this story!

This second chance romance was boring. Nothing much happens and the plot moves very slow. I did not feel any chemistry between the characters.

After "breaking up" with her boyfriend, Danni decides to leave the comforts of New York City and spend the holidays reconnecting with an old friend in Alaska. She meets Declan, a surly state trooper who has no interest is getting to know her. Declan came home from the war with an injury that cost him his leg ... and his fiancé.

This is a light, opposites attract romance novel that, unfortunately, I just didn't care for. The characters were not fleshed out very well - leaving them and the relationships quite shallow.

My first book for this author. Loved it. Great read! I enjoyed picturing Juneau and the northern lights. The friendship and love connection and family dynamic was well done.

Holiday Hallmark movies are great. They are cheesy, but in a loveable way that just screams Christmas. Well, now they do it in books, and while they feel mostly like a Hallmark movie, in book format, this book in particular felt long and drawn out. It could have ended three hours before it did. Overall it was a nice holiday listen, but that is about it. Danni is a social media influencer who takes a break in December to go see a pregnant friend in Juneau, Alaska. There she meets the quiet and reserved police chief Declan and romance insures. That’s all you really need to know. The rest is typical Hallmark story telling. – POC author and characters.

There is nothing more that I love than a Hallmark movie in book form and this audiobook was a delight! It was the perfect cozy Christmas read and I cannot wait to read more from Hallmark publishing. Thank you NetGalley and Hallmark for the audiobook in exchange for an honest review!

Mistletoe in Juneau is a really sweet Hallmark Christmas movie feel.

I enjoyed reading it and felt like it was a quick read. I am a little sick of the 'influencer' trope but I felt like it wasn't too bad in this book. It was an enjoyable, light holiday read.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest and fair review.

Mistletoe in Juneau by Dahlia Rose
Narrated by Janina Edwards
Genre - Romance
Rating - 5 out of 5 stars
Narration Rating - 5 out of 5 stars

Danni’s social media influence has become a hit on every platform but she is not happy. Her boyfriend/manager is totally controlling her life and she feels penned in. She has tried repeatedly to tell him she wants to break up and slow things down a bit but he refuses to listen. So she decides to take matters into her own hands and plans a trip to Juneau, Alaska to visit her best friend, who is currently pregnant with her second child, to give herself time to think and decide what the future holds for her.

Declan was in the army before an IED cut his service short and he ends up sheriff of Juneau. When Danni arrives in Juneau he meets her at the airport as a favor to her best friends husband, who is also a police officer. Declan is quiet and reserved at first but as he and Danni spend more time together sparks begin to fly and Danni has some serious thinking to do.

The narrator Janina Edwards is an excellent choice for this book. She makes it come alive in your ears until you are transported to a place where the temperatures are very icy but the sparks are hot.

I highly recommend this book. It could be read in either book form or audiobook and it would still be good.

This is the perfect audiobook for those who find comfort in the predictability and happy endings in Hallmark Christmas Movies. If Hallmark movies aren't for you, you probably won't like Mistletoe in Juneau. The book had me laughing out loud in places, notably the scene where Danni goes ice fishing. The narrator had a pleasant voice that added to the story.

Thank you to Hallmark Publishing and Netgalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Danni is a social media influencer with <i>Danni on the Run</i>. Lately, however, she is getting tired of all the events her boyfriend/manger Austin keeps booking for her in his attempt to make her more famous. When Danni’s best friend since childhood calls and invites Danni to stay with her in Juneau, Alaska, she can’t resist the chance to see Amy and take a break from Austin to decide what she really wants. In Alaska, Danni immediately feels drawn to the beautiful scenery, the welcoming people, and … the taciturn sheriff, Declan. Declan has closed himself off to the possibility of love since his fiancée left him after he lost a leg in an IED explosion while in the army. Despite the connection he feels with Danni, Declan reminds himself that she will be leaving Alaska soon, and he doesn’t want to get his heart broken. Can these two very different people find what their hearts are looking for in each other?

This book delivered everything I expected of a Hallmark book. I loved not just the main characters but everyone we met in Alaska. Janina Edwards did an excellent job narrating the audiobook. This was a perfect escapist read for getting into the spirit of Christmas. My only complaint would be <spoiler>how quickly they got engaged, having only known each other for less than a month and not even dated during that time.</spoiler>

Many thanks to NetGalley for providing me an ARC of this book.

I absolutely love a good hallmark Christmas read. This one was really fun. I liked how relatable the characters were, especially Danni. I think that many of us who have grown up in cities have dreamt of escaping somewhere like Alaska for an adventure. I’d definitely recommend this.

I always love a good Hallmark story, and this one did not disappoint! I finished it in just two days which is close to a record for me. This story of Danni and her trip to Alaska to visit her best friend and finding a whole new life there is just perfect for the holidays. Danni currently lives in New York and has her own brand on social media, but there's just something about Alaska that she can't seem to shake when she gets back after her stay visiting her friend, and his name might just be Declan.

The perfect girl meets boy story and does anything for love!

The narrator adds extra depth to this story helping you to feel more attached to the characters and their emotions throughout the story.

Are you looking for a Hallmark holiday romance? Then you found it! I absolutely love the description in this book. I could feel the snow crunching beneath my boots, smell the fresh ginger bread, and see main street glowing with holiday lights.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars for this another hallmark heartwarmer

Typical hallmark! Not that I am complaining at all. I am such a sucker for hallmark movies and when I discovered there are now not only hallmark themed books but CHRISTMAS HALLMARK THEMED BOOKS a small part of me died inside. Danni an influencer and Declan a Veteran and now trooper sparks fly but will they last?
I was provided a copy of this audiobook by NetGalley and the narrator was fabulous!

3.5 Stars rounded up. This was a sweet, heartwarming, Hallmark Christmas romance, where we have new beginnings and realization of what is important in life. Danni is a social influencer who is not sure what she wants in life moving forward. She broke up with her manager boyfriend and decides to leave New York and spend Christmas in Alaska with a dear friend. While there she meets Declan, a war veteran and local law enforcement officer. They are both hesitant about relationships, but they throw caution to the wind and just become themselves with each other. It doesn't take long to develop feelings, but Danni runs scared and back to the big city, especially when she is rewarded a big contract by a cosmetics company. Of course, romance means you need a happily ever after.

This was a sweet story that I enjoyed, but didn't love. Declan and Danni were both good characters, but their insta-love didn't pull me in. I liked the secondary characters more, especially Declan's mother. I did like the way Indigenous people from the north were represented along with their culture. Overall, an enjoyable romance with interesting characters. I did a read/listen with this book and enjoyed both formats. The audiobook was narrated by Janina Edwards. The performance was enjoyable well with different voices for the main characters. Emotions, expression and tone were well done and the pacing was good. I have listened to other books narrated by Ms. Edwards and I do enjoy her work. I recommend this one to those who enjoy a relatively quick Christmas romance with a Happily Ever After.

Declan lost his leg when and IED exploded while he was in the army. He thought that his fiancé would just be happy he was alive. But, she could not deal with his injury. So, she just up and left him. This hurt him more than his leg injury. He absolutely refuses to date or even think about love. Enter Danni. Danni is a social influencer from NYC. She needed a break so she comes to Alaska to see her best friend. This changes her whole world!

I love Declan. He is definitely the strong, silent type. But he has a huge heart. And Danni, she is in need of something other than her stressful life. Now…they hit a few rough patches, but overall, these two fit so well together!

Anytime I see a book set in Alaska…I am all over it. I have no idea what it is, but I must read it. This one hit the mark! The characters, the location and, of course, the Christmas season, puts this one right in my wheel house!

Janina Edwards is the narrator of the audiobook and did an outstanding job. I will be on the look out for more books narrated by her!
