I really wanted to like this. It's a Hallmark book at Christmas, so I knew exactly what to expect. And if this was a movie, I probably would have ate it up. However, the main character is so worried about the danger her son could be in, because his dad dies doing something dangerous, that she cant enjoy life. And I do not speak of daredevil escapes. Her son, at 6 wants to be a firefighter, and he loves everything firefighting. He makes friends with a local firefighter. And mom worries about the danger of firefighting. He constant worrying grated after a while, and took the enjoyment our of what was supposed to be a Hallmark movie on paper.

I don’t think that you can ever go wrong with a Hallmark book! Morgan and Andrew were so sweet together and I was rooting for them the whole time! If you are looking for a lighthearted, sweet romance than this is definitely for you!

I DNFed this audiobook. I thought I liked Christmas romances, but maybe I only like Christmas romance movies and not in book form. I probably won’t request many more of these types of books.

This audiobook was not for me. I loved the description of the book and was expecting a Hallmark feel, but this did not have that feeling to me. There was a major disconnect I really wanted to enjoy this holiday story and the characters, but the narrator's voice was unpleasant to listen to for me. I think this greatly affected my experience of this book. Had I read it instead of listened I might have felt differently.
Thank you to NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

This book was way to sugary sweet for my tastes. The characters didn't feel real to me. There was a lot of repetitive thoughts. It was hard to keep my interest.

Thank you NetGalley and Janice Lynn for the opportunity to listen to and review this book. I'm a big Hallmark Christmas movie fan and this book fit the bill. Overall, it was a feel-good read that put me into the holiday spirit. That said, I did feel like it dragged a bit at times and I struggled to really feel the connection between the main characters.

Morgan moves back to her hometown of Pine Hill with her son. She is a widow and wants to have a stable life for her son by living with her grandparents. Andrew is a firefighter in Pine Hill, but his dream is to fight wildfires in California. Morgan has promised herself she will never fall for another daredevil since her husband died, but she’s drawn to Andrew. Andrew also gets along well with her son, who begins to look up to Andrew immediately. Morgan has to decide if she’ll follow her heart, even though there’s a chance it could be broken again.

My favourite character in this story was Morgan’s son. He made some cute observations, such as talking about his little girlfriend from school. Unfortunately, I didn’t connect with Morgan or Andrew. They were flat characters without much depth. They only seemed to focus on one thing: Morgan focused on not falling for a daredevil while Andrew focused on his dream of taking risks. I would have liked to see them talk or think about things other than these challenges because it became repetitive and boring.

This was a slow romance without much tension. The differences between what Morgan and Andrew wanted was constantly repeated. There wasn’t much else happening in the story other than their differing goals in life. The resolution at the end was sudden and didn’t make much sense considering how adamant they were in sticking to their beliefs.

Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope didn’t work for me.

Thank you Hallmark Publishing for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A big recommend to fans of angsty hallmark movies, but I would not recommend for people looking for warmer holiday romances. The characters very much dwell on their problems in a way that drags the mood down.

Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope
Janice Lynn
Morgan’s husband died trying to save others. After his death she is left to raise Greyson, their son on her own. She moved to Pine Hill, Kentucky where all she wants is a stable place to raise her son. Morgan had no interest in a new relationship especially not with someone in a dangerous profession. Losing someone you love is just too painful. Andrew is a firefighter. He gets a rush from dangerous situations. He dreams of being a smoke jumper in California. He feels drawn to Morgan and her adorable young son. Greyson stopped smiling two years ago when his father died. Greyson and Andrew form a bond. Andrew has no intentions of falling in love; he doesn’t want the responsibility of a wife and children to worry about while he’s doing a job that puts his life in danger, but love happens anyway.
Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope is a beautiful Christmas story from Hallmark. (This is the third novel in the series Wrapped Up in Christmas.) Both Morgan and Andrew have decisions to make. Andrew has a delightful personality, fun and appealing. The Butterfly girls, a group of mature ladies that have been friends for years. They had me laughing out loud with their gossiping, meddling and matchmaking. The Butterflies definitely made this book an enjoyable experience. The star of this tale is Greyson. The wedding was sweet and romantic. The Quilts of Valor was interesting; a workshop and presentation was fascinating, and much light needs to be shined on this organization. There is a pattern for the Healing Quilt of Valor. Author Janice Lynn touches on the shock and terrors brought about by war and PTSD. A recipe for Lemon Chicken Scallopini is included.
This story is told through alternating points of view. The audio version is narrated by Madeleine Maby and Seth Podowitz; both did an excellent job. I am always interested in books set in Kentucky. This is a Christmas tale sure to get you in the Christmas spirit. I enjoyed Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope.

This is the third Wrapped up in.... book by Janice Lynn that I have read or listened to. Even though this is the third book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. The series is set in Pine Hill, Kentucky and quilts are central to the stories. In this book, Morgan and her son Greyson are looking for a new beginning. Morgan is a widow trying to get over the loss of her daredevil husband. She wants nothing more than a quiet life with people that she can love and get support from. What she is not expecting is to meet a local firefighter whose goal is to become a firejumper. Not only that, but Greyson and Andrew seem to have some kind of natural bond that pulls them together. How can she bring a man in her life who is planning to leave, especially taking on a job that is so dangerous. She can't let Greyson get attached to him, but it might already be too late.

This is an adorable holiday story that will steal your heart. Both Andrew and Morgan have some baggage or roadblocks that prevent them from becoming involved, but their hearts tell them something different. I really liked their characters and was rooting for them from the start. Andrew falls in love with both mother and son but stills want to peruse his dream job. Morgan is afraid to lose another person. Greyson is such a sweetheart and just knows who he cares about, not why it shouldn't work. This is such a heartwarming story with lots of love, community and family. Several characters are present from the previous stories and I loved seeing them again. The Butterfly Girls, a group of nosey, but loveable older ladies, always add some humour to the story. Throw in a fairytale Christmas wedding of senior citizens, a Quilts of Valor workshop and presentation, and this story truly shares a Christmas wrapped in hope. This is a Hallmark movie in book format that I really enjoyed. I listened to the audiobook narrated by Madeleine Maby and Seth Podowitz. Each narrator did alternating chapters, including all voices in their chapter. They were both wonderful and Madeleine Maby's voices were excellent showing her range. I did prefer Seth Podowitz's voice for Andrew's POV chapters, but I enjoyed both narrators. I definitely recommend this book to those who enjoy Christmas Romance, and uplifting stories.

Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope is set in Kentucky and is a typical Christmas romance book. I honestly just felt like it didn't have as much of a spark as most holiday romances. I never was really captivated by either of the main characters, but I did really enjoy the relationship between Andrew and Grayson. It was a cute book, but it just wasn't anything super noteable about it. The narrator was good though.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest and fair review.

This book was okay. A typical feel good Christmas story of a widowed single mother finding romance in a small town. I think I’d better stick to the cheesy Christmas movies in the screen! Overall a fast and easy, feel good story.

Perfectly enjoyable Hallmark Christmas.
I really enjoyed the characters in this story. Both the main and supporting cast was delightful and interesting and added to the story. In typical Hallmark fashion, you have two main characters not looking for love but love finds them, despite their best efforts to resist. What I found fresh about this story is that Morgan and Andrew didn't necessarily resist their attraction, but more that they recognized that the timing for it was not right for both of them. I also love that Greyson, Morgan's son, played such a pivotal role in helping them navigate through their feelings. The Butterfly's were a sweet addition as the "fairy godmothers." I also really enjoyed the ending. Without giving anything away, I thought it to be a slightly different conclusion. One that seemed more thought through and thought out. It seemed very in character for Andrew and Morgan and who their characters were.
I was provided the audiobook via NetGalley. The chapters, male and female perspectives, were read by Madeleine Maby and Seth Podowitz. Both did a great job using different voices for the characters. I really enjoyed Madeleine as Morgan and Greyson. Her Andrew "voice" I wasn't the biggest fan of, but she did a great job with the rest of the supporting cast. Seth was a great Andrew. Author Janice Lynn did a great job of bringing all the characters to life.

Another book by the Hallmark company that follows the same formula that their movies do. Look for this to be made into a movie in the next year or two.
Morgan is a single parent to a young son. Her husband was killed in a freak accident. She has sworn off men with high danger jobs.
Andrew is a firefighter who wants to be a smokejumper and help put out forest fires.
You know these two will be instantly drawn together. In this case by Morgan's son. Which one will give in and either give up their dream or decide that love is more important? You will have to read to find out for sure.
