It's almost time for Lindsey and Sully's wedding. The whole town of Briar Creek is as excited as the happy couple. This is going to be the wedding of the century except the size continues to grow. When Lindsey realizes she gave the incorrect guest list to the stationer, she and Sully must go out to the location of the nuptials and make sure it can accommodate the increase in guests. What they weren't expecting to find is the body of the man slated to perform the wedding ceremony.

One for the Books is another great book in the series. I enjoyed the book so much I devoured it as fast as I could. Every character is great. I found myself able to connect with Lindsey and Beth, not because they are similar to me or we've been down the same roads, but because they are fun, interesting, and nice. I love the author's writing style, the pacing was good, and the story compelling. The continual character development allows for me to get to know Lindsey, Beth, Sully, and everyone else. The author created a wonderful town, with wonderful characters, and I was able to visualize the entire story. This might be book 11 but the author does a spectacular job keeping the mystery, characters, and story fresh.

The audiobook is narrated by Allyson Ryan. Ms. Ryan does an excellent job with the narration of One for the Books. Each character has a distinct voice in tone, inflection, and enunciation. The narrator has a pleasant voice, making an already enjoyable book (I also read the ebook), even better. Fans of the Library Lover's Mystery series will love not only reading the book but also listening to is, as well.

I was provided a copy of this audiobook to review.

There is only one week until
Lindsey and Sully’s wedding and things are getting complicated. First Lindsey discovers the wrong guest list is sent out and now they are unsure if they can accommodate everyone in their small town that wants to attend. While looking at the venue a much bigger situation unfolds… a man is found murdered. The murder victim is recognized as the justice of the peace meant to marry them! Will the case be solved and will they be able to find someone else to preform the ceremony before the wedding date?
I found this to be a fun cozy mystery! I love whodunnit and I’m between heavier reads I enjoy a nice light story. This was my first in the series and I will go back and read more to learn more about the characters and see what other mysteries they stumble upon.
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook- it was a fun listen and I enjoyed the narrator as well. 3.5

Boy did I need a break from some of my other reading and listening; and this was a perfect book! Once again I thank NetGalley for introducing me to an author that I had overlooked. One for the Books is the 11th in the Library Lover's Mystery series. It was obvious that relationships were established and other events had happened, but it did not detract from this book.

There was so much going on in the book, will they be able to get in a wedding or not ... ???

Really enjoyable, fun little mystery.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author Jenn McKinlay, the narrator Allyson Ryan and publisher Dreamscape Media for the advance listen of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Having read every book in this series, I have to say this was not my favorite. Maybe I’m just getting tired of this cast of characters but this book seemed a bit lackluster to me and since a wedding was the focus, that is a bit surprising. Since it is a part of a long running series, I think it would be an injustice to the author to try to read this as a standalone.
I did think it was an insider joke that in the story the librarian mentions a favorite author who wrote a book about her gap year in Paris since this is obviously Paris is Always a Good Idea by the author herself. Maybe I will give that book a try. She also writes romance novels and I have liked a couple of those. Sadly, I just think it is time for me to say goodbye to this series.

It's time for Sully's and Lindsey's wedding and plans are going well. Sully's friend Steve is going to officiate at the marriage and Bell Island is ready for the ceremony. When Steve is found in his boat on Bell Island, all the plans are in turmoil as Sully and Lindsey try to find someone to marry them and figure out what happened to Steve.

The author has once again given readers a solid mystery to unravel. The characters are real and very likeable. The small town atmosphere leaves the impression of a friendly place to live where you know all your neighbors and nothing bad ever happens (well except the murders). And even though it's a small town, there is a never-ending supply of suspects.

Jenn McKinley is one of the first cozy mystery authors that I discovered when I found cozy mysteries. She has several different series and also standalone novels. Allyson Ryan is an excellent narrator.

I love the Library Lover's Mystery series and One For The Books is a wonderful addition to this cozy mystery series! The audiobook narrated by Allyson Ryan is well done and very enjoyable. The characters really come to life! Lindsey Norris is the Library Director in Briar Creek and she is preparing for her upcoming wedding to Mike (Sully) Sullivan. They are planning a small wedding with just family and a few close friends but everyone in town wants to attend. Unfortunately a glitch with the invitations changes their plans and adds humor to the story. Sully, Lindsey and a couple of their friends go out to the island where the wedding will take place to see if the island can hold the additional people. They find a popular local man floating in the water. There are quite a few twists and turns which kept me glued to the book. It was hard to put down! The characters are great and feel like friends. And Lindsey and Sully finally get married, but just barely make it to the ceremony! Very enjoyable cozy mystery and audiobook. #NetGalley #OneForTheBooks #JennMcKinlay #DreamscapeMedia

Library director, Lindsey Norris, and boat captain, Mike "Sully" Sullivan are to tie the knot in one week!! The entire town is excited for the happy day! Their plan for a small intimate wedding evaporates as more and more people insist on attending.

They plan to marry on Bell Island and worry if there will be enough room to accommodate the ever-expanding guest list. Lindsey, Sully and Lindsey's crafternoon pals head to the island to check it out, but are horrified to discover a body washed up on the shore. And to Lindsey's horror she recognizes the man, Steve, as the justice of the peace who was supposed to officiate her wedding ceremony! After investigation it is clear he was murdered! Does it have to do with her wedding? Does someone not want Lindsey and Sully to marry? Or was Steve involved with something that got him murdered?

The 11th book in the Library Lover's Mystery series and honestly this is the first one I've read! I really liked the description and thought I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did! I enjoyed the characters! The narrator did a great job telling the story. I had no problem getting into the story!! A nice mystery!! I look forward to reading other books in this series!!

Thank you Jenn McKinlay, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the audio to listen to this book in return for my honest review!

"Librarian for the win, then!" -From One for the books.

3.5 stars

Cozy very predictable mystery with straightforward characters with no real surprises. I found the "reveal" pretty disappointing as it wasn't "shown" at all, just told. Usually in these types of mysteries the person finding all these things out more discovers it. Small town setting with all the usual minor characters. I liked the parts where Lindsey was doing her job the most. There were many times the MC was super judgmental, which was off putting. If you like cozy mysteries where you don't have to think set in a small town, this book is for you.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I requested this audiobook forgetting that I'd read it already. However, I enjoyed the narrator and it gave me a different perspective. I enjoy visiting the town and the characters. While I didn't remember who did it, I did remember who ended up marrying Lindsey and Sully.

Thank you to the author, publisher, narrator and NetGalley for my eAudio in exchange for an honest review.

Cozy mysteries are my favorite genre and I love Jenn Mckinlay’s books, I’ve read them all! Her writing style is perfect for me, I love how likable and real her characters feel, the storylines are always interesting and never a boring book in all the ones that I have read. I was lucky enough to get chosen to review the audio version of this one. This is the eleventh book in the series and it’s a series that you really need to read from the beginning as each book builds upon the last- but don’t worry, it’s a great series so you’ll want to read them all anyway!! Just like all the rest, a very enjoyable story and it was a pleasure getting to read it and write a review for an author I like so much!

I have NO idea where the month of September went (and I fully understand that we are a third of the way thru October), but I’ve been listening to audiobooks. I’m gonna try to get caught up today!
One for the Books is the newest cozy mystery in the A Library Lover’s Mystery series from Jenn McKinlay. I binged-listened to this series last year, so I loved catching up with Lindsey and Sully and the rest of the Briar Creek residents. I’d highly recommend this cozy mystery series and the newest installment. ☺️

I enjoy all my visits with Lindsey and Sully and to finally have the wedding! I've read the whole series, was there when they met and fell in love, when he proposed and now their big day is here. But first, to clear up the pesky issue of the murdered officiant. The mystery was well written and kept you guessing the whole time but I just kept wanting it to be wrapped up quickly so we could get to the wedding part. It didn't take away from my enjoyment of the story - I'm just like a kid at Christmas when it comes to favorite characters getting married. I can't wait to see what married life gets them into! I highly recommend this series.

The audio was very well done. I usually like to read this series but listening made it even better because I didn't have to stop reading and go to work (I listened to the whole thing at work!). The narrator's voice was clear and easy to understand. Great job! (My NetGalley one wouldn't load so I borrowed the one from the library.)
