I really thought just based off of the cover and that it is a Dystopian that it may be a new take on "Animal Farm", I was wrong. This story was not my cup of tea. There was just so much happening from multiple species genocide, avocado wars, and a circle jerk committee bent on the subjection of the masses and a super pig. I do get that it is suppose to be a tongue and cheek satire on our current situation. However it is confusing to follow the storyline and it is kind of disgusting the things they did and said. I don't get the point of the pig or the relationship between all the main characters. Honestly when the characters spoke to each other I had no idea what they were talking about or the point of anything that they were doing.

3,5* rounded to 4
I had fun reading this book and there's a lot of food for thought and humour.
The pig is a great character even if some more development would have helped.
It's a bizarre, entertaining and original dystopia. There's a lot of black humour and the possibile future is quite bleak.
Even if I enjoyed it I found it too fast and the characters are a bit underdeveloped.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

This is a very bizarre dystopian novel about a super pig. Yes, you read that right. It may seem a bit gimmicky (because it is) but Heart of Swine is also a fun read. My main complaint would be that it's a bit uneven and the character development is fairly small. You're thrust into a world with minimal backstory and the plot races forward from the first page. Regardless, it's a quick read with a good message.

**I was given a copy of this book by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. My thanks to Obex Publishing**

The concept of this book is really fun and I love the idea of a pig being a superhero saving everyone. Sadly I felt the execution of this book was not all there, the pacing was far to fast, there was no character development, and I felt extremely confused the entire time reading this. The start of the book is some background which is nice then after that they throw us into a story without any background for those characters I had no clue what was happening and found it extremely difficult to read. Additionally because there was no character development I had to empathy for the characters and was bored throughout most the books because I could not relate to their struggles or feel bad for them. I didn't know anything about them. Amazing concept, poor execution.
