As a student of and teacher in a spiritual practice that prizes humility as a virtue I found this to be a great lens on this value. Good food for thought and a work I will consult again.

I had a difficult time getting through this book. I really like the topic of humility and was hoping that this would be a good way to push my thinking in this area, but the ideas within it seemed a bit reductive and perhaps overly influenced by religiosity for my own personal tastes.

Sadly, this was not for me. Despite this, I think much of what Seah asserts in the book will ring true to many, though it doesn’t feel like these ideas are especially new compared to other self-help writing out there. Still, I think the right person would find this helpful and useful, especially those looking for guidance or commiseration for living in the modern world with a bit of a religious perspective.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.
