In the second entry of this series, Lexi Jones and Cookie have settled into life back in Confection. When a local realtor dies if a heart attack, Lexi and the macarons were hoping to solve another murder, but the young woman had a medical condition and her death was ruled a heart attack. But when another realtor from the same office is found murdered in Dash’s backyard, the macarons are on the case and are determined to clear Dash of the murder charge.

With so many suspects Lexi, the macarons, and Detective Berg need to solve the murder before another body drops…and it might just be one of them.

I really enjoy this series and was thrilled to read the latest entry. The mystery, sexual tension, and an adorably smart dig make for one great read! Can’t wait for the next book and to see what life has in store for Lexi and the gang.

Lexi and Cookie are on the case trying to prove that her best friends brother did not commit two murders. Lexi with the help of her book club, her good friends and even Detective Berg look for reasons the two women are dead and one found on Dash’s porch. Was it business or personal?

I enjoyed the second book in this series. I had read the first book and enjoyed seeing the characters develop and become fuller. I like the Lexi character and especially her dog, Cookie. If only all dogs were like Cookie! The mystery moves at a good pace with only a small slow down towards the end. The culprit wasn't a huge surprise but there is a twist getting to the reveal. I will gladly look for the next book.

A Sinister Turn…
The second outing in the Sweet Fiction Bookshop Mystery series finds Confection deep in tourists as the Summer festival is in full swing. Bookseller, Lexi, is aghast however when a death occurs. Whist not entirely unexpected, things take a sinister turn when more bodies begin to pile up. Enjoyable cosy mystery with a likeable protagonist and a colourful cast of characters. A fun read.

Thank you #Netgalley for the advance reader copy of A Poisonous Page by Kitt Crowe in exchange for an honest review. Confection, Oregon is where Lexi Jones runs a bookstore, Sweet Fiction. People start turning up dead and the local police do not like the book club members trying to solve the mysteries. This was a fun story to read. I have always wanted to work in a bookstore or have my own.

A Poisonous Page is an intriguing cozy mystery that kept this reader on the edge of her seat.
Lexi and her canine companion Cookie find themselves wrapped up in another murder investigation, and this time, its her friend Dash that's in the hit seat.
As the investigation advances, there seems to be something fishy going on in the chamber of commerce, and when Lexi finds herself in harm's way, she is sure this might be the end for her.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of the book.

What a great read loved it.

A Poisonous Page was easy to follow and I became invested in the well-crafted characters.

This story in which Kitt Crowe lives for books. and is fueled by caffeine is really interesting. We find that she shares her living space with not one, but two teenagers, a zany dog, and a very personable cat.

A must-read.

A Poisonous Page by Kitt Crowe is a great cozy mystery that is the second book in the Sweet Fiction Bookshop series.

I really enjoyed visiting and getting to know everyone in the cute, quaint town of Confection, Oregon. There are such unique and quirky elements added to make this town special ( street names, shop titles).

I liked Lexi and her adorable sidekick canine Cookie (in fact I think Cookie is my favorite character!). Lexi is helping run the Sweet Fiction Bookshop and I really enjoyed the cast of friends, coworkers, and the murder/mystery was entertaining as well.

Plenty of material for future books. It will be interesting to see what is next for Lexi and Cookie.

4/5 stars

This book was sent to me on Netgalley electronically for review. Characters who are adept at keeping secrets make up this novel of mystery and mayhem. The story goes somewhat slowly, but the naysayers is eventually discernible. This author write a quirky story that is fun to read.
