This book exceeded all my expectations.
I loved The Worst Best Man but this book stole my heart.
The chemistry between the two leads was fantastic and I cheered them on the whole book.
I read this book so fast, I just couldn’t put it down. It sucks you in and has you itching for more.
I cannot wait for more books from Mia!

Why is a buttoned-up, rule-keeping hero so fun to watch loosen up? Dean is so perfectly straight-laced that when Solange careens into his life it leads to some serious snort-laughs and the pure pleasure of watching him get shoved from his comfort zone.
𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗗𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗘𝗥 has sizzling chemistry, hilarious banter, and all of the will-they-won't-they that comes with a good fake relationship romance!
Solange is a fantastic lead character! Relatable, badass, strong, and sweet. She knows who she is, even if mot every part of her life is figured out. And Dean is a joy to read!
𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗗𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗘𝗥 has sweetness, steam, and laughs. There is a bit of drama (there find if HAS to be, right?), but overall this is a fairly light read and not too heavy.
𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗗𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗘𝗥 was a great read, especially for fans of Opposites Attract and Fake Relationships with plenty of steam!
STEAM LEVEL: Rated NC-17 / 5+ sex scenes, harsh language. *MIGHT* include props/bondage.
TRIGGERS: past parent abandonment
FEELS-O-METER: 2/5 - A bit of drama, but still a pretty light read.

The Worst Best Man was such a fun read for me, I couldn’t wait for Mia Sosa’s follow up. The Wedding Crasher certainly didn’t disappoint! It was funny, sweet, steamy, and gave me the happy ending I was hoping for. Loved the fake dating story, loved the banter, loved the book! Highly recommend for anyone who loves a good contemporary romance.
My thanks to NetGalley and Avon for an advance reader’s copy.

Ingredients for five stars:
•strong, female protagonist
•witty banter
•sexual tension
•discussion of food/recipes
•faking dating
•sacred of their feeling, but honest communication
•one bed
Luckily, THE WEDDING CRASHER by Mia Sosa delivered the above and more. I powered through this book and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. If you’re looking for your next read, I recommend THE WEDDING CRASHER.

I thought this book was a lot of fun! I mean, let’s get serious, fake dating tropes are a bit ridiculous, but usually make for good hijinks. Solange’s mom & aunts moved from Brazil, so there is a lot of Portuguese spoken in the book and a lot of references to yummy Brazilian food, so try not to read the book while you’re hungry. The banter between Dean and Solange was quite good, and all of the professional hats everyone wears was a nice touch. Overall an entertaining read!
Thank you to NetGalley & Avon and Harper Voyager for this advanced reader copy. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

At the heart of this is a laugh out loud, sexy romantic comedy, but I wasn’t invested enough in the relationship to feel the love. Essentially, our couple finds themselves in a series of outlandish situations, but the story is more about those situations and the characters responding to them rather than growing together as a couple. It lacked the swoons. But I liked this MUCH better than the first interconnected standalone in the series – I was seriously considering a 4-star rating, but it was just too easy for me to put down. There are a ton of great things about the book – the fresh voice, the inclusivity, the comedy, and the opposites attract dynamic – so it’s still got a lot of good stuff going on.
The story follows Solange, a woman who overhears a bride declaring her love to someone other than her groom on her wedding day. The groom is a friend of a friend, so Solange decides to let him know before he gets married. Except… Dean isn’t overly upset by the discovery, and he takes it better than expected. Somehow the two find themselves faking a relationship (it’s complicated), and these near-strangers are forced to navigate through some interesting situations together. Along the way, Solange realizes that the buttoned-up guy is actually pretty great, and it’s not long before their relationship starts to feel real.
I went into this with low expectations, because I wasn’t a big fan of The Worst Best Man – something about Sosa’s writing style isn’t a total win for me. So I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable this was. The characters and comedy were a win this time, and the opposites attract vibe worked. I loved how different Dean and Solange are from each other, and it was fun to see Dean loosen up as the story progresses. My main issue is just that there was SO MUCH going on and the situations were fully explored, while the actual relationship between Dean and Solange was not. Sure, they were together for a significant portion of the book, but there’s a LOT of time spent explaining where they are and what they’re doing. I wanted less of that and more time developing the chemistry, which was definitely lacking. By the end, I knew they were attracted to each other, but I wasn’t convinced of the love. I received an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this rom com.

I was so, so excited for The Wedding Crasher, after absolutely LOVING The Worst Best Man last year! Unfortunately this one fell a bit flat for me. The chemistry between the two main characters felt so random and forced. I wanted more of their personalities and lives beyond their fake dating setup - a trope I normally love, by the way, but felt off here. Maybe because it also felt like insta-love, like they were immediately in love with each other but wouldn't admit it to themselves, and there wasn't a large arc or development to go through. I did appreciate revisiting the big cast of characters and the loving family again. I will keep reading Mia Sosa's books as they come out!

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I really loved this book. It's such a fun book. And I enjoyed it as much as the author's first book!

Thank you to Avon & Netgalley for providing an e-ARC of The Wedding Crasher in exchange for an honest review!
Oh. My. God.
I read The Worst Best Man & adored it. But, y'all??? I am obsessed with The Wedding Crasher! There are so many shenanigans in The Wedding Crasher from crashing weddings to ax-throwing to other things I will not share, because you need to experience this rom-com for yourself.
I loved all of the characters involved & I think Dean might be my first book boyfriend?! I'm head over heels in love with him. The Tias make a return in The Wedding Crasher & I absolutely adore the family aspect of Mia Sosa's books. The Tias aren't the only ones to return; we also get to see Max and Lina again! A lot of companion novels will have cameos of previous characters, but I feel like both Max and Lina play fairly decent-sized roles in The Wedding Crasher & I loved it.
The Wedding Crasher has fake-dating & will have you rooting for the relationship. Honestly, this book is just a whole blast & definitely on my top 10 of the year so far!

I liked The Wedding Crasher even more than The Worst Best Man! Solange and Dean made the fake dating trope so much fun, and the scenes with the tias and cousins were delightful. This was a fun, steamy read perfect for a sandy beach or rainy weekend.

The Wedding Crasher is my favorite book from Mia Sosa yet. This could be because of my intense love of fake dating romances, but I'm more inclined to believe it's because Sosa managed to deliver an actually funny romantic comedy that had the right amount of angst to keep me intrigued and the right amount of character growth to keep me invested in the characters themselves. The things keeping it at a 4.5 not a 5 star rating for me are mostly small quibbles that I don't think other people are likely to care about. Like, for example, the way Dean said that he doesn't know if he would have gone to work for a law firm if it weren't for his student loans. This is an entirely personal thing that bothers me that most people will not even blink at. (But I do appreciate his pro bono work.)
The audiobook narrators did a great job too. I liked both of them. And so, all in all, I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

I enjoy this series a ton. I did like the first book, The Worst Best Man a little more but I think that's because it was the hate to love trope which is my all time favorite trope. This was equally adorable. steamy and I loved the chemistry between our 2 main characters. I did feel like the overall plot just kind of fell flat for me which is why I am rating it a 3 out of 5 but overall good romance read.

The Wedding Crasher is such an intelligent, fun romance! Mia Sosa has done it again!
I loved Solange. She was smart, capable, and had a heart of gold. I loved it was clear how her history and her mother’s had shaped her. But she was such a genuine person, and I just adored reading her story. Although, I have to admit I think Solange was a little out of Dean’s league. Especially in the beginning. Dean honestly didn’t seem like he was all that much fun. But Solange was able to bring out the best in him.
Even more so than The Worst Best Man, family played such an essential role in this story. I loved seeing Solange’sSolange’s family dynamics. And because I knew them from The Worst Best Man, it was like seeing old friends! Family plays such an important part in this story that it makes sense, and I especially loved seeing Max and Lina!
I love a fake dating trope, and this didn’t disappoint. The story made sense and was well paid and entertaining. And that ending, oh my god, that ending I loved it so much!

Really enjoyed this Own Voices Brazilian Latinx read. Loved the extended family dynamics and of course the food. Now I really want empanadas.
The fake dating trope is always interesting and this one had a couple curve balls that made it even more so. I like how opposite Dean and Solange we're in many ways.
I felt like there were a couple scenes thrown in that were only there for shock value, but other than that enjoyed the book.
I especially liked how both Dean and Solange we're on a journey of self discovery and eventually figured out the next steps for their lives.
I received an advanced copy of this book through NetGalley. This is my honest review.

I adored this book SO SO SO SO much! I loved reading THE WORST BEST MAN and this was so much fun! I loved being back with Lina's family and getting to know Solange this time around. Dean was great and the more we got to know him the more I fell in love with him. This was an amazing book!

After reading Sosa's The Worst Best Man, I knew I needed to read her second book. Sosa creates multifaceted characters with backstories and lives that seem to stretch far beyond the confines of the first pages. Not only does she introduce well-built characters, but she also establishes their stories organically, giving details as she goes. This really creates a cohesive story that you're able to feel invested in.
Solange and Dean's plot was interesting right from the start which really helped hook me in. I loved Solange's inner battle of whether or not to say anything to Dean, who she had only just met, about what she heard in the stairwell. And, as a result of all the shenanigans of the opening chapters, we get even more craziness as Sosa introduced the fake-dating scheme. While I love a good fake-dating trope, I can't help but wonder frequently If there would have been an easier solution. I kept feeling like the whole concept was a bit unrealistic, but hey, I enjoyed every moment of it.
The plot of this book was fun, fresh, and well-thought-out and I really love the place where Dean and Solange ended. I thought it was so sweet how each of them learned about themselves as the story progressed and they leaned on each other and their families. I also just adore the second wedding crash (no spoilers!).
A big thank you to Avon Books for sending the digital ARC through Netgalley for an honest review!

"It’s really that over the course of the weeks I’ve known you, I’ve gotten glimpses of what it would be like to be your person. I’ve gotten a taste of what it would be like to be the one loving you. And it kind of feels like an honor. Like maybe I don’t deserve you."
Disclaimer: I received an eARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley for free in exchange for my honest review. Review also cross-posted to NetGalley & Storygraph.
A second disclaimer, though not as important as that one up there: I have not read Worst Best Man, so I did not go into this knowing who Dean was (apparently, from what I can gather from other reviews, he makes an appearance in that one). Now that I've read this - and gotten to meet Lina and Max - I definitely would like to go back and read that one at some point. I love a good companion novel romance series!
This was a delight either way, whether you go into it knowing the characters or not. I will admit there are some kind of cringy, secondhand embarrassment moments in it, though - or at least there were for me. That ultimately is what made me knock a star off; I just genuinely cannot handle secondhand embarrassment. It was bad enough that I had stop reading this at times and just... sit there with my head in my hands being like, "No, god no, stop. Stop." It probably won't be that bad for other readers. The main scene that got to me was one where the main couple in this one overhears family of the female main character having sex, so they decide to pretend to have sex with horrendously bad - on purpose - dialogue and sounds to try to make the other people as uncomfortable as they are. In the end, I think they succeeded only in making me uncomfortable just because it was so ridiculous and over-the-top, haha.
Anyway, we have some of my favorite romance book tropes going for us in this one: fake dating, friends-to-lovers, only one bed, some found family elements, and more. Not to mention that our two main characters are a type A, 'I don't want to fall in love, because I've seen what it does to people' lawyer of a guy and a ball of sunshine, 'I want to fall in love so much, but only with someone who will be 100% all-in' girl, which is a great combination and set-up. It was so lovely to watch them go from thinking that they'd never, ever work, to sort of falling for each other, to being head over heels but not wanting to admit it because that's how to get hurt, to flying across the country to declare their love. (Yeah, the romantic climax of this book is adorable, and I stayed up about an hour and a half past when I should've gone to sleep for work to finish it because I had to see it through. I mean, I knew exactly how it was going to end, but ask me if I care. I needed to see the happy ending.)
There were some tiny hints at the end of this book that we might see a book about Brandon, Solange's roommate, and I hope that's the case, because he seemed like a really good, sweet guy, and I'd love for the line in the epilogue that mentioned him trying to 'find his person' to mean that we'll be seeing more of him in the future.
All in all, a really fast, funny read with a couple that you're truly rooting for. It took a lot of courage for both of them to work through some past relationship traumas to come together and open up to each other, and that just made it feel incredibly fulfilling in the end.

The Wedding Crasher follows Solange and Dean after Solange crashed Dean's wedding. Then situations of both sides drove them into a fake dating relationship.
I will be brutally honest here. I feel like this book could've been so much better. It had the tropes that I love, it had a foundation but it just was not exuted well enough for me to like it. It had way to much no-so cute fluff. And an extreme amount of not-well written pop culture references that as soon as i encountered the Taylor Swift monologue Dean had, it went downhill from there. (I do love me some Taylor Swift, just keep out of the internal mologues). I did like some of the characters, just not Dean Solange.
They both had very redemeble qualities and goals. I didn't enjoy reading about Dean's views about career safety and his plans for his partners, et cetera.
Overall, the plot was poor in my opinion, and the characters seemed flat to me. Cute potential it had though.
Thank you Netgalley and AvonHarperBooks for approving my request to read The Wedding Crasher!

The Worst Best Man was an average read at best for me - but I wanted to give Mia Sosa's writing another chance and I'm so glad that I did. I loved The Wedding Crasher - it is the perfect fake dating trope where the main characters end up faking it for both of their gains instead of just one of them. There's drama, difficult conversations, family struggles, and one very intensely sexual scene at a group sex party.
Yeah, you read that correctly.
From the start I loved Solange right when she interrupted Dean's wedding to object. That takes some serious lady balls to do, especially for two people you don't even know. But, it was the right decision and it changed Dean's life for the better. Dean and Solange both needed a shake up in their life goals and routines - and neither of them really knew it. It might have been an odd pairing to start with but the feelings grew and showed what they both were missing out of life.
I liked seeing Lina and Max as well, in the background, even if I wasn't a huge fan of their book. So I do recommend reading this book, even if you're like me and The Worst Best Man wasn't your favorite rom com of all time. The Wedding Crasher made up for it in my opinion.

"Because if there’s any chance that you’ll be a part of my life, I can handle all of the other unknowns, even if that means we can’t be in the same place right now.”
"I’ve gotten a taste of what it would be like to be the one loving you. And it kind of feels like an honor. Like maybe I don’t deserve you. But I want to try to earn a place in your heart.”
This book reminds me of Bridgeton in the best way possible😭 Guy who views marriage as a business proposal but still fell for the girl...HARD?
