This book had all the pieces, everything was there…I just can’t say that it really rocked my socks off though. Solange and Dean’s friendship let alone relationship seem to move at breakneck speed. As a side character in the first book in the series, The Worst Best Man, Dean was actually one of the stand-outs in a book almost bloated with friends and family members. His charm seems to dissipate here though in a series of scenes that leave him looking silly rather than swoon-worthy.

The most interesting thing about this book for me was that the characters’ misbelief about love stems from the same place: watching their single mothers suffer at the hands of jerks. Solange sees her mother’s heartbreak at loving someone who didn’t love her back, so she is afraid to make a move in her love life, lest she choose wrongly. Dean sees his mother fall hard for a string of men, upending young Dean’s life at every turn. This leaves him believing that real love and support just isn’t possible. So it’s interesting to see how the two of them navigate these misbeliefs when the root is similar but their interpretation of it is different.

Anyway, it’s definitely worth reading if you are a fan of the first book and there are glimpses galore of what the next installment might shape into. But I think I was expecting more from and for Dean.

We start off hot with this one, Solange finds herself in a difficult situation -- objecting to a wedding of people she barely knows.
The Wedding Crasher was so much more than a rom-com. It definitely delivers on everything important; laughs, swoon-worthy banter, sexual tension, and spicy scenes. But what I loved the most was the character development. They both struggled to come together in the most perfect way. I also especially loved the Brazilian/Portuguese rep in this storyline. Family was HUGE and all the side characters' love and support created a different feel for the storyline and enriched the romance overall.

This book was so cute! It wasn’t overly mushy and the story was entertaining. Plenty of smut if that’s your thing. I enjoyed it.

Solange Pereira is tasked with helping her wedding planner cousin with her first wedding. Things are going well until she hears a troublesome conversation between the bride Ella and a man who is not her fiancé. When the wedding commences, Solange decides she cannot remain quiet and urges the bride to follow her heart. Ella says she cannot through with the wedding.

Dean Chapman had his life planned out. A check mark against each goal marriage was to be next. With his wedding canceled, he must reevaluate what comes next. Then comes the realization at work that he may not get the promotion he wanted without a significant other. He enlists the help of Solange to pose as his serious girlfriend.

Solange and Dean fake-date their way through various situations until they admit the truth. Have they developed very real feelings for each other?

Man there was a so much about this book that is wonderful. I’m loved both Dean and Solange are both amazing. I loved the wedding crash, Ginuine, the attraction, and the surrounding family and friends.
Dean is dedicated to how his life is supposed to be. When his wedding died T work out the way he expects. He needs some help keeping his work plan on track. Enter the wedding disrupter. Solange didn’t mean to disrupt but here we are.
I adored these two and how the fake relationship started to turn into something more.
So many moments were spectacular. The only thing that keeps me from a full 5 stars was the dark moment. It just seemed a little extreme.

Having not read the previous books I was curious to see how I would enjoy this one. It wound up being a lot of fun and a perfect quick paced romance read. It is full of laughs and in particular one scene in a car. Solange and Dean are both strong willed whose careers are very important to them and after they both need a favor they turn to each other. They have lots of fun together and seeing their relationship evolve was great as they are both had issues to work through. Be aware this book is a spicy one so may not be everyone's preference. The highlight is really the extended friends and family and the rich culture that is included. I love when books are full of exotic food descriptions that make your mouth water and this had plenty. Solange's relationship with her mother especially is heart tugging. Overall a charming romance full of diverse characters.

Thank you to Avon for allowing me to read an ARC of this. All opinions are my own.

“F*cking is easy young man, loving is harder”

I really did not think that Mia Sosa would be able to top the Worst Best Man but she did! Solange and Dean’s love story is easily one of my favourites.

Once again Sosa included all the tropes, fake dating, forced proximity, one bed etc.

I would recommend this book to fans of Tessa Bailey, Sally Thorn, Sonali Dev & Talia Hibbert! 5 stars.

The Wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa is the second book in the series after The Worst Best Man. Th book follows the story of Solange who is Lina's cousin. While planning a wedding event, Solange overhears a conversation and has to stop the wedding. The groom is Dean Chapman who has his future mapped out to perfection. When Solange stops the wedding Dean doesn't take too long to overcome the broken relationship. Though he needs Solange's help in convincing his partners that he is over his past and has moved on with Solange. They decide to fake date and end up in a messy web of their own making. Dean and Solange realize their feelings for each other is more than what it seems. But can Dean overcome the walls he has built around himself and let Solange in?

This was a cute read. Loved all the pop culture references in the book. I felt, I connected better with the first book . There were some pacing issues in the middle and some abrupt jumps to situations that felt a bit abrupt in the middle and doesn't really tie in to the plot. Some of the side characters were unwanted and some could have been flashed out a little more. Overall, I was invested in Solange and Dean's story and would rate the book 3.5 stars, rounding to 4 stars.

Another great romance read. 2022 is already killing it for me on the romance front. 😂

My favorite part of this one was Solange, the female main character. She was SO sassy and quick-witted. She was headstrong. She knew exactly what she wanted in a partner and was not taking any less that she felt she deserved. I loved her.

Also, the consent. 100% perfect. This one was pretty spicy, but not in a cringe type way. Everything was so beautifully put out there for both characters.

Weeks before she’s supposed to leave, Solange is roped into helping her cousin with a bride’s wedding makeup. While there, she overhears the bride talking to her longtime best friend about how she is in love with him. Solange can’t keep this information to herself. During the ceremony, she speaks out and objects to the wedding. Dean has his life planned out and was about to check “Start a family” off his list. Solange screws that all up. He learns that he’s about to land a promotion that he’s put on his life plan list, but can’t do that without having a partner. He decides to rope Solange into a fake dating plan since she owes him big time for messing up his life plans. What starts as a fake dating sham for his colleagues, turns into very real feelings and a connection that they both can’t deny.

The Wedding Crasher: 4 ⭐️

I loved the Worst Best Man and appreciated the reappearance of characters from Sosa's hit romance. Assistant wedding planner Solange walks in on a cheating bride and makes it her mission to make sure groom Dean knows, creating a huge drama and ruining the wedding. The payback he demands is that she fake date him to seal his potential promotion at work.

It's no surprise that Dean and Solange actually like each other, and get found out, because that's how these things ALWAYS play out. But Sosa keeps it real and fresh with strong supporting characters and cultural details and career subplots. The close-knit, big, obnoxious family is wonderful, and the writing is laugh-out-loud funny. And OMG their dates, which include a sex party, are of the truth is stranger than fiction variety and so absurd as to be believable.

If you loved The Worst Dressed Man, you'll love this one, too.

I received an advance reader's review copy of #TheWeddingCrasher from #NetGalley.

I was very wary of this whole "I stopped your wedding and now we're going to be together" trope, but it went in several different directions I did not see coming. It was a delight to read this book, I was literally giggling while reading a few scenes. Also, the first spicy scene in Dean's apartment was HOT.

There's some cute banter and character growth within these pages, and I've come to really love that within my reads.

My only issue with the book is that there is A LOT of stuff going on and since I read this in several different sittings (while also listening to a different audiobook) I did randomly forget what was happening. Still a lot of fun, and a great follow-up to The Worst Best Man.

This started out with a BANG.

Going in I knew it was a fake dating situation, and I LOVE fake dating, one of my top 10 tropes. Now imagine fake dating the guy whose wedding you ruined. The energy and connection was there from the beginning and it was so easy to just sit there and devour this book in one sitting. Dean and Solange wren just so much fun to read about and they had that "we're completely opposites" thing that I love where one has everything planned to the t and the other one is just going with th44 flow until they figure it out.

I love how well each character is written and the dynamics throughout the story. This is actually my first Mia Sosa book so I didn't know any of the characters going in and now I love them all! I adored Brandon, he and Solange made me crack up from more than one conversation. She left me wanting more in the best way possible.

I think this is a perfect read for romance lovers and a must add to TBRs.

I really enjoyed this book and liked the characters. The only problem I had was with some of the sleazy scenes that did not move the plot forward or add to the story. This is the first book I've read by Mia Sosa. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a free advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wow wow wow! I absolutely loved this! This book should be the guide to the “fake dating” troupe!

Solange and Dean meet when Solange crashes Deans wedding and overhears the bride confessing her love for one of the groomsmen. After meeting Dean and seeing what a nice guy he is, she ends up stopping the wedding and telling Dean that the bride is in love with someone else. Dean later on ends up telling his firm that he is dating Solange to be considered for a partnership in his law firm and that’s how the fake dating scheme begins and it only gets better from there!

This book is spicy(the party scene omg), super super sweet and I also the family orientation in it.

Defiantly a 5 star read. Thank you NetGalley for a ARC copy!

Although I first struggled to get into the book, I really came to enjoy this one!

Dean is a strange character with a lot of lawyers stereotypes, but you can genuinely see that he grows to care for Solange over the length of this book. As usual, Mia Sosa wrote an amazing female protagonist. Solange is such an interesting, ocmplex character. I loved seeing her passion with her work, and her brutal honesty with Dean.

This book is hothothot, so if you're looking for some good steam, look no further!

Can't wait to see more form this world!

Great witty banter between Solange and Dean. I loved Solange’s vibe and energy much more than Lina’s from The Worst Best Man.

Literally was getting second hand embarrassment from reading the karaoke scene. Biggest smile/cringe moment.

Loved some of the pop culture references like Captain America and Game of Thrones.

Tropes:
- Fake Dating
- Wedding
- Guy falls first
- One bed
Spice: 🌶🌶
POV: dual

Light, fluffy rom com fun! This is the second book in this series after the Worst Best Man and it continues to be a fun beach read kind of book. It's not especially deep or especially novel but it keeps you turning pages and enjoying the ride. The secondary characters, especially the Tias, are the ones who shine here and I look forward to the next book in the series if only to catch up with them.

A fun spin-off novel from Mia Sosa’s The Worst Best Man, The Wedding Crasher introduces us to Solange Pereira, cousin to Lina (the wedding coordinator bride from TWBM). Solange finds herself in a compromising location where she accidentally overhears a conversation on a stairwell landing between the bride Ella, and her NON-fiancé confessing feelings of regret over the wedding to be. Enter the wedding crasher: Solange feels compelled to relay this information to groom Dean Chapman (fans of TWBM will remember him as Max’s best friend) as he’s about to be married.

What twist could make this wedding foible rom-com worthy? Why a fake-dating trope of course! Desperate to make partner at his firm, Dean must first convince the senior partners that he is not emotionally crushed by his failed wedding and in a ploy to win over lucrative recruit Kimberly Bailey, Dean “accidentally” slips that he is in a serious relationship with none other than Solange. Dean also mentions that he and his Solange would be happy to show Kimberly around town and convince her to join their D.C. firm.
Thus begins our interaction between Dean and Solange. Can they pull off a fake relationship in front of family, fellow lawyers, and Dean’s nosy competitor, Peter? Sosa is the queen of witty banter and playful jokes. The chemistry between Dean and Solange which seems so poorly matched at first, grows fire hot under very specific circumstances. Dean is a white, tight-laced lawyer that lives only by a plan, ticking off each item as he goes, and Solange is a charismatic Brazilian still unsure of what she wants to do with her life whether that means staying in D.C. or not. As they say, opposites attract, and Dean and Solange find they have much to learn from each other and may share more similarities than at first glance.
I loved the various twists and awkward situations Sosa puts her characters through and it was fun to see what they would make of them. From ax throwing, the birth of a baby, sexy karaoke, and an AWKWARD party, to a possible Vegas wedding, Sosa kept me on my toes just as much as she did Solange and Dean. Would any of this happen in real life, probably not, but that’s what made the book so much fun—not knowing where this wild ride would take me.
I also love how considerate Sosa is of each character from the most to the least important; there is BIPOC, LBGTQ, and ACE representation, characters that are single-parents, students working towards their high school GED, and all of them are given the highest regards. In Sosa’s world, the good guy wins and character development is real and worthy of being promoted. I also adored the strong family bonds and connections between the Tias and their children. Love is underlying in each aspect of this book. And did I mention the sex scenes? So good! Dean’s dance moves being compared to Channing Tatum would make any woman swoon. Mia Sosa delivers a solid gem of a book and should be a must-buy author on anyone’s list.
Thank you to Avon, HarperCollins, and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a sequel that outranked its predecessor, and now I’m hoping there is a third volume. We were introduced to Solange and Dean in The Worst Best Man and their story did not disappoint. Both searching for something in their careers and lives, yet focused on different goals, their paths cross at Dean’s wedding. When Solange crashes it. Of course, hilarity ensues, but so do feelings neither of them expected. Formulaic, sure, but also sweet, with a diverse cast of supporting characters as well.

Mia Sosa always delivers for me! The previous novel in the series really helped me during the early days of the pandemic, and The Wedding Crasher provided a similar comfort. Solange and Dean were such delightful characters, and the supporting cast was just as fun. What I really appreciate about this series is its setting being Washington DC and having absolutely nothing to do with politics. This was a great book to start 2022 with!
