This book was a cute, easy read. It’s not my favorite romcom that I have read recently but it definitely will fit the bill for someone looking for a cute story.

I love this authors writing. It is very cute but tells a great story that keeps you turning. I didn’t read her book before this but now I’m going to go pick it up. Solan be and Dean were so fun together. I loved the characters and really connected with them in this story. Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy of this book.

What can I say? Mia Sosa has done it again! This was a delightful fake dating / friends to lovers story. I love the strong and independent spirit of Solange, and I respect (yet was often annoyed by) Dean and his rigid thinking. Opposites attract... eventually. This story is full of Brazilian-American culture, family dynamics, tough choices, subterfuge, and a whole lot of steamy attraction. While this book is technically part of a series and involves some familiar characters from The Worst Best Man, you don't need to read that book to follow this story. It is a standalone. Overall, I highly recommend you read it! Mia Sosa is a great writer and her characters feel like family.

This is your standard Mia Sosa book. The FMC and MMC are great and distinct. They play off each other nicely, and I'd loved their banter and developing relationship. It's a fake dating trope I never saw coming, but I'm not glad that I saw it. It was done really well. Writing is engaging and realistic, characters are funny and memorable. It's a good sized book though, and I think that might have been what dropped the rating for me: I skipped ahead to find out some of the bigger points and then it felt a little more like a chore to go back and read the rest, despite the characters being so engaging.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an ARC of this in exchange for an honest review!

Completely charming, engaging, and funny. I really enjoyed this follow up to The Worst Best Man. It’s maybe a teeny tiny bit over the top a few times but I enjoyed the characters and story so much I wasn’t hugely bothered.

Thank you Avon/Harper Collins and NetGalley for the ARC!

Great Book. As a minority, I love to read more multi-cultural books. My only gripe was the large use of Portuguese in the novel.. Sometimes you could get what was being said in context, but other times I had no clue what they were talking about. I love the need to show that the main characters were Brazilians, but it felt that if you were not Brazilians you would miss parts of this novel.. The plot line was very good, I only wish we would have gotten a longer epilogue.

Such a fun read! The Wedding Crasher features Dean and Solange. They meet the day of Dean’s wedding. After Solange overhears the bride professing her love for the best man before the ceremony, she acts on impulse and objects during the wedding ceremony. She believes that everyone deserves to be in love and with their person for the rest of their life, so she was doing both of them a favor…right? Dean likes to follow a plan for his life, and he was in the middle of the next phase in his plan (marriage) when a Solange objected at the wedding. He doesn’t believe in the love thing; he believes in order and finding someone career oriented like himself that he could start a marriage of convenience with. When Dean finds out he won’t get a special project at work that could help him get partner at his law firm due to the failed wedding, he finds himself spinning a story that he’s with the woman who crashed his wedding, Solange. Dean enlists her help and they begin a fake relationship, but they soon find that maybe opposites attract after all.

I really enjoyed this read! In my personal opinion, it started off kind of slow. It took me a few chapters to start loving the characters and get into the book, but I eventually found myself not wanting to put it down! I love when a romance book has witty banter between the love interest and Dean and Solange definitely had it. This book also features a fake dating trope and a one bed trope which are some of my favorites as well. I think the characters were written so well and I could feel their chemistry while reading the book. I would definitely recommend this book!

A huge thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review!

Dean is a man with a plan, and he’s slowly checking off his to-do list one by one. Until his plans get ruined on the day of his wedding! And Solange? She just happens to crash a stranger’s wedding and ends up in a fake relationship with the groom…

Fake dating trope? Yes, please. One bed trope? Duh! Witty banter between the two characters? AMAZING. The tias and family dynamics? Please! And Dean? UM. YES.

This book genuinely made me smile, laugh, cringe (in a good way), and giggle. And I loved every second of it. The ending did seem a little… far out there, but honestly, I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

Will definitely be purchasing this book when it comes out on April 5, 2022!

A fiery book from the get go that was difficult to put down. Equal parts fake-dating romance and self discovery, The Wedding Crasher had me rooting for Solange and Dean in different ways.

Thank you Avon and Harper Publishing and NetGalley for the e-ARC.

God, I loved this book! Boy, will I be gushing over this book for a while. I loved how important family was in this story- while some of my family is from Puerto Rico, I could picture and relate to the tight-knit, sometimes gossipy group of family members, as well as the moments where culture can be shared with others via delicious food. Both characters have very believable mindsets for their life plans, and the way that they circle around each other works well. I think in romance books, readers may become tired of the miscommunication trope, but I feel it works well in this story. The main characters have such palpable chemistry, with banter that feels natural and sarcastic. If you love tropes like fake-dating, pining soft boys, there’s only one bed, and sweet declarations of all of the feels, this will be an enjoyable read for you. Despite this coming out in 2022, this is easily one of my favorite romcoms I’ve read this year.

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC copy!

This was my first Mia Sosa book and it will most definitely not be the last. Thank you NetGalley for this arc!

The Wedding Crasher had me hooked from the very beginning. It was fun from the first pages, and Solange and Dean were great main characters. The side characters were also a highlight for me. They weren’t there for the sake of filling pages, they brought more fun and advice to both MCs and they were a joy to read about.

While this could’ve easily turned into a cheesy story, Mia Sosa’s writing ensured that I kept turning the pages and made this a memorable book (possibly one of my favorite romance books of the year!)

Many many thanks for the publisher for this ARC! I was so excited to receive it.

I remembered within the first few pages how much I LOVE Mia Sosa’s writing style, especially her strong, smart, take-no-sh*t, sarcastic heroines.

Solange is the cousin of Lina from The Worst Best Man; she’s a continuing ed teacher and committed to giving back to the community and never accepting less from a relationship that she deserves. She doesn’t do flings. She “discovers” cheating and interrupts Dean’s wedding (a marriage of convenience!), because she thinks he (a random acquaintance) deserves more, too. Her payback is to fake date Dean to convince his law firm to make him a partner.

Dean is close friends with Max from TWBM; he’s a lawyer, he always has a life plan, and he doesn’t really believe in dating for love (for himself). He’s learned before that anyone worth loving will disappoint him in the end.

So I always love fake dating turned friendship turned real dating, and this was no exception. I loved the tias and Solange’s family, thought that Kimberly and Nia were a fun addition (and twist—maybe we’ll get a novella??), and I loved how fast Dean fell for Solange. Lots of fun and very sweet.

This was a quick entertaining read. If you enjoyed the first book in this series, you’ll likely enjoy this one, as well. There were a lot of laughs and plenty of sweet moments.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC

I absolutely loved The Worst Best Man and this book was just as cute!
Solage was merely helping out her cousin at a wedding when she accidentally overheard the bride and her childhood friend confess feelings for one another minutes before the wedding. She couldn’t help herself interrupt the wedding and crash the I Dos…. Oops.
Dean was going to marry his bride for convenience and wasn’t that upset to get his wedding crashed. But when he is up for partnership and his boss wants a lawyer with a steady home life…he needs a fiancé and quick.
Solanges mother may have bragged that her only daughter is engaged and now family is coming to town. She quickly needs a fiancé.
When both need a fake fiancé- only chaos can ensue. Will romance soon follow?

A marriage of convenience turns into…well nothing you’d expect. I am not going to spoil anything about Solange and Dean’s story but I will tell you it’s absolutely SPECTACULAR!

Thank you Avon Books and Netgalley for providing me with an ARC of this book!

The Wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa was nothing if not enjoyable. It was fun, witty, fast-paced, and easy to read. The characters were extremely likable and had great chemistry with one another. While this book was nothing revolutionary, it was certainly worth the read. I loved Solange and how she could hold her own, and that Dean was actually a really nice guy. The diversity was great and the plot development was not too slow nor too fast- it wasn't insta-love, and the characters had their own development outside of the relationship. This book was great and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a quick rom-com to bring them out of a slump.

I'm a MAJOR fan of The Worst Best Man due to the fact that book was the first time I ever saw Portuguese in a book. Portuguese isn't seen in media and growing up in a very latin culture I always felt slightly out of place. But reading that book felt like I was in my mother's country of Portugal. It felt like home. So I was absolutely excited to receive the early arc for Mia Sosa's next book.

I was also excited that we got to explore Lina's cousin Solange. Now while TWBM made me cry for culture reasons this one had me crying because it really hit home. Growing up as the daughter of an immigrant who cleans houses I wasn't blind to people's judgements on my mom. I enjoyed how this book tackled those prejudices. What I really liked was the fact that both Dean and Solange have their own issues related to their trauma of being raised by single mom's whose dad wasn't around. We go to see how people from similar situations can have the opposite reaction. I'm definitely more like Solange in this aspect.

Another thing I liked was the fact that Dean and Solange clicked very well. Was there sexual tension? Well yeah but you could tell from their banter and the fact that we both cared that they really valued the friendship they have.

Might be random but for some reason I really liked Max more in this book. It might be the bromance he has with Dean but it was nice to see male friendships especially-

SPOILERS AHEAD

- when Max drops his plans to be there for Dean.

I liked the ending I thought the twist was nice but I was thrown off by 1) Kimberly admitting that she was pulling the same rouse as Dean. I felt like that was a really big coincidence and 2) The family being the one to orchestrate Dean and Solange getting together. But my family would do that took actually.

RANDOM but that party scene Peter had them go to FUNNIEST THING EVER!!!!

I can't wait to grab my hands on the physical copy of this book and TWBM.

Thank you NetGalley for sending this arc for an honest review!

Honestly I don’t even know where to begin this book was absolutely incredible and sexy, and funny. LIKE WHAT MORE CAN I WANT. Not to mention the cartoon cover was more than enough to grab my attention. Fake engagement? Check. Denying the attraction? Check. Latina rep? Check. Hot sexy lawyer? Check. Like babez this story was GIVING, and it did not disappoint. Honestly I couldn’t even stop reading. The tension between both charcaters was utterly immaculate and watching them deny the attraction between them was quite funny and exhausting at the same time. Like man I was tired I’m like just kiss already. Oh and they kissed THEY more than kissed;)

The devolopment and growth between each charcaters id have to say to say the least was meh. I felt like theor story was a tad bit rushed and that their chemistry was too instant. Besides that definitely worth the read

I adore everything this author writes. The Worst Best Man was one of my favorite reads of 2020, and The Wedding Crasher is one of my favorites this year. Fun, light-hearted, sexy, and full of Mia Sosa’s outrageous humor this book captured me from the first chapters––that priceless wedding scene--to the very last. Dean and Solange’s relationship was warmth and light, a breath of much-needed fresh air. Their genuine attraction for each other sunk down to the roots of who they were as individuals, transforming and complimenting who they became as a couple. I'm in love with their love. One of the best things about this book is knowing I can go back and read it all again.

Solange is helping her wedding planner cousin when she walks into an intimate conversation between the bride and a man who is not the groom. Unable to keep silent she speaks up during the ceremony and the bride calls off the wedding.
Dean has his life planned out. Start a family and make partner are on the top of his list. But when his bride bails he finds himself needing a fake relationship in order to secure his promotion at work. Without thinking he tells people he is dating Solange, the girl who crashed his wedding. And so begins the fake relationship of Dean and Solange.
This was a predictable RomCom where the fake relationship leads to something more. It was well written and fun. I loved the characters and enjoyed watching the fake relationship grow and turn into something more. The only negative thoughts were the authors inclusion of the sex party scene which, for me, really detracted from the story and did affect my review rating. But overall I still give the book an easy 4 stars and would love to read more by this author.
