This book was an arc received via NetGalley for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

This is a story that tells of a boy’s toy elephant that travels far to reach Santa. He and all the toys must report to Santa what their child wants for Christmas. It is a cute story and if you like that it is more of a modern take on how Santa gets his list for Christmas than definitely pick it up.

The illustrations by Genevieve Godbout are lovely. If you pick this book up for just that them, it is wonderful. Maybe even check out some of the other books illustrated by Godbout.

I personally would never read this to my small child because it would take away one of the traditions of writing Santa a letter to tell him what you want for Christmas and sending it to him. However, with times changing and traditions with it, this may be the perfect book for some families. The story itself is so endearing. The love of a child and it’s toys.

This is a great book for Christmas. The toys go on an adventure right before Christmas.
Frances Lincoln Children's Books and Net Galley let me read this book for review (thank you). It has been published so you can get a copy now.

Every year the toys go on a long walk to Santa Claus. There they tell him what their child wants. Some wishes are easy to fulfill. Others Santa picks something that related to what they want.

It's fun to see the child get what he wanted. It's a perfect book for Christmas.

A good story for an excuse if a child asks his parents where Santa Claus is. Their toys have another thing to tell! A wonderfully illustrated story, just right for Christmastime, with a new idea on how Santa Claus sent the presents.

Enchanting, completely enchanting. Fanfan the stuffed elephant is missing. What Noah doesn’t know is that Fanfan and all the other favorite toys make a very serious trek once a year. They head off to meet Santa and tell him what their children want for Christmas. After all who knows a child best, their best toy. The illustrations are soft and make the perfect setting for this book that you want to curl up with under a blanket with a little one. It’s a great Christmas story for any time of year.

It's Christmas Eve and Little Noah can't find his favorite toy, an elephant named Fanfan. Why? Because Fanfan is off on a very important errand to deliver Noah's Christmas wish!

Every year, beloved stuffed animals and other toys take a long journey to the North Pole to deliver their owner's Christmas wishes to Santa Claus. Who else would know a child's most secret wishes?

This is a magical and heartwarming holiday story that little ones will absolutely adore! With soft, calming illustrations and colors, this picture book is a perfect bedtime story for the holiday season.

As this story begins, it is Christmas Eve and time for young Noah to be getting ready for bed. He must be asleep before Santa can deliver his presents. But there’s a problem, Fanfan, his favourite stuffed animal is nowhere to be found.

Fanfan is headed to visit with Santa, since everyone knows that a child shares all their wishes and dreams with their favourite stuffed animal. It is that beloved toy’s responsibility to let Santa know what their child wants to find under their tree on Christmas morning.

It’s a long journey for Fanfan, and along the way he needs to help Mr. Long Ears, a stuffed rabbit. When they finally get to the place where the other stuffed toys are now gathered, they join them in continuing their journey while sharing their stories of the past year.

Finally they arrive, and Santa calls them up to share what their child wants most of all. Then they set off to return to their home.

Of course, the first thing Noah looks for when he wakes up Christmas morning is Fanfan, and his Mom calling his name to let him know that Santa was there. When he opens his present, it is exactly what he wanted!

And Fanfan smiles knowing that it was all worth it.

This is a sweet, magically imaginative story for young readers, or young ones experiencing Christmas with anticipation. Beautifully illustrated by Genevieve Godbout, a perfect story to read to the littlest ones as Christmas approaches.

The Toys' Christmas is a magical tale about toys going to see Santa Claus. This book instils a magic unlike other Christmas books that I've read. The illustrations are beautiful as well. Highly recommend this holiday season.

The time has come for me to binge-read holiday books! Starting with some children's books for fun and simple joy to get me into the holiday spirit. Whoop whoop.

This was such a cute and sweet book about stuffed animals leaving their children every Christmas Eve to go to Santa's workshop to tell him what their kids want for Christmas. Such a cute and fun adventure and a very unique story idea. The art style was really interesting as well and I loved it. It mimicked a crayon sort of texture which was really neat. I also loved the muted cool-toned color scheme. Overall, the art was amazing and the story itself was really good as well. Can't think of a single reason it could be better so 5-stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for an advanced copy. All thoughts and opinions are, as always, my very own.

This is a sweet imaginative Christmas story that kid's will love. How does Santa know exactly what to bring to a child on Christmas? Well this lovely book just may have the answer.

Each year a child's favourite toy undertakes a secret mission to visit the North Pole to inform Santa what their child's most cherished Christmas wish is. Think about it for a moment... who else could harbour that confidential information better than a cuddly, snuggly, toy buddy? As the long journey progresses the toys are joined by others from all around the world. The secret agents walk and chat together about the year that was.

This magical story is delightful and the illustrations are soft and dreamy making this book a perfect bedtime story to share during the busy holiday season. I highly recommend it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book was so cute! Fanfan reminded me of a stuffed elephant I had as a baby. ❤️ For some reason, this book reminded me of the misfit toys from Rudolph, 🤔 The book is beautifully illustrated and the story is just the right length. This would make a perfect holiday gift!

I received an electronic ARC from Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books through NetGalley.
Clement explains how Santa knows what each child wants in this sweet story about toys making a yearly trip. Each child's toy gathers to visit with Santa on Christmas Eve so he can make his list of what to bring. The illustrations capture the magic involved. The toys look like much loved ones and share pieces of their story with readers.
Delightful family read for the holiday season and a way to answer the question - How does Santa know what I want?.

A delightful story about children's beloved toys making the trip to the North Pole to pass on their owner's Christmas wishes

This is a very sweet story about how every kid's favourite toy advises Santa what their child wants for Christmas.

The illustrations felt very classic, almost old fashioned, but the story itself was one of the best Christmas ones I've seen this year.

A book so charming it's a wonder it took nine whole years to reach English translation. While one child at least is restless, because it's Christmas Eve and he can't find his favourite cuddly toy elephant, we're in the know, and following said elephant to a meeting of all the plushes and cuddlies, who head off en masse on their secret mission... Probably the illustrations are a little more classy than the telling, but the story is a nice (if implausible) one, and this is better than the 'read one Christmas, forget by the next' volume. A big success for the relevant time of the year.

An absolutely stunning and beautiful story about children’s favourite toys meeting up with Santa every year to tell him what their child friend wants for Christmas that year.

I loved this! The art is so cute and made this reading experience all the more wholesome. I love that the colours were muted but still colourful enough that I know kids will be glued to these pages.

This is the perfect story to read around Christmas time! I highly, highly recommend this one.

5/5⭐️
