A strong story about a 16 year old teenage girl. Hannah likes Brad. Brad is uncool. Hannah seems overpowered by her friends’ opinions and backs down easily not wanting to make waves.
Instead of a date with Brad she accompanies her friend to a party, with instructions to watch her back to make sure her friend is okay. Hannah carried out her job well. She drinks iced tea and lays low. Yet her drink gets spiked with “roofies” ,the date rape drug .
Hannah has no memory of what happened but she knows. She knows it is something to hide. When the truth comes out the poor girl is bullied for it. Hannah is a timid mouse who is reinvented as a powerful woman and advocate for rape by the end of the story.
Great writing ! Thank you to the author, Jack A Ori, NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this ARC for my opinion.

This is a debut novel for this author and while the storyline was intriguing, I am not sure whether he succeeded in creating both a social look at teens, party and alcohol and what happens when you are date raped.

I like that Hannah is taken seriously, but I find the writing so slow. I am hugely demanding when it comes to this type of read and pacing and the author did not succeed in keeping me engrossedl

This is such a relatable story as for many people this cpould easily be a reality of going to a party and waking up and not remembering anything, especially anything that happened to you. The author caught those emotions on the page with clarity and sensitivity and I was so endeared by Hannah I just wanted to give her a hug. I really enjoyed this story.

Once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down.
I have been in hannahs shoes, so to read a book that shows how broken a person is, to how strong they end up being was really powerful.
I was mouse!! Never wanted to speak up,
Loved how you also encouraged males to speak up aswel, they are forgotten about at times.
This is definitely a book that shows all the stages that a person goes through when something so awful happens to them, really don't think it could of been put any better
