This an amazing story of the man who ran across America 5 times, in part as a tribute to his mother, his favorite character Forrest Gump and for The charities WorldWildlife Fund and Peace direct, finishing in 2018.

It is a massive thing, this book. 800+ pages. Much of it is probably not to exciting if you are not a runner, much talk about various injuries and miles covered today etc.
But it is hugely interesting in the regard to the struggle day to day , camping, cheap hotels, the logistics of money, sponsorship, short breaks, photography, breakdowns of communication and follow vehicles. And how terrific people are and can be. He meets nice people who encourage him, rude people ( thankfully not many of those) , dangerous drivers and fellow runners.
And the weather changes…..can you imagine going out for a 15000 mile run? Sure, if the sun is shining and it is a nice temp. ( except the number of miles obviously) But what about ten below? Or pouring rain? Or the dark of night? Or running in the cold for so long that when you camp for the night, the clothes you take off freeze solid from the sweat from your running.
When I started this book, I thought I would not get far because reading about running did not seem to be that interesting, but I struck with it and I am genuinely glad that I did..
