We love Little People Big Dreams and this collection of stories delighted my daughter. Each story and illustration was engaging and unique. We will always add these books to our collection. I would recommend this for every family and classroom!

The publisher made a copy of this book available on Netgalley. This review is my honest opinion.

I have read others in this critically acclaimed series featuring one person, but this one includes many and does so very well. There is a great reason this one is a multimillion best-selling series. It includes many great dreamers full of their stories and facts about them such as Coco Chanel, John Lennon, Amelia Earhart and Maya Angelou. You will find explorers, artists and many groundbreaking iconic figures perfect for inspiring youth. It is wonderful for older readers and teachers. It is a collector edition of what we have enjoyed for younger readers. It is a step up from the other books, which are wonderful in their own way. This treasured edition is beautiful and truly designed to be a keepsake. It features a reading ribbon and golden edge pages as well as the timeline, important dates, and photos of the dreamers. It makes a wonderful gift and is inspirational.

Little People, Big Dreams is such a vital series of introducing kids to important historical figures from all throughout history, not just the white men who dominate the history books. This treasury is the perfect collection of those stories for anyone to enjoy

Little People, Big Dreams Treasury is a delightful introduction for young people to learn highlights about famous individuals.

The engaging spreads include photos, pictures, short biographies, and detailed timelines of a range of notable individuals, grouped chronologically. While meant to be brief, the accounts convey succinctly key information, some of which I learned from this book for the first time. The selected individuals are diverse in specialty and nationality and would make a welcome addition to a home library to foster curiosity about historical and contemporary figures..

(I received a digital ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.)

The shortened version of the book, destined for the older kids who can read without much images. And it does consist a lot of stories in a book, with timeline at the back of each story. Very interesting book to enjoy with a cup of hot chocolate.

If you have older children, this book is for them. Learning biographies of famous people in fun way.

I absolutely adore the Little People Big Dreams series! They are perfect for young readers to start their curiosities of great men and women to look up to. I admit, I prefer the books that highlight a single person -- they feel more educational. But it's nice to see ones like this that highlight multiple inspirational people.

Incredible and inclusive series. Longtime fan of the books and this is a wonderful treasury. A must have for any young reader.

Loosely divided into groups by year of birth, there are mini bios of people who made a difference in their time as well as now and beyond. Beginning with Mary Shelley and Ada Lovelace and moving right along to Malala Yousafzai and Greta Thunberg, each one presents a brief overview of the life and followed by a graphic timeline of accomplishments. There are dreamers of every color and many nationalities presented for opportunities to learn and grow.
This is a compilation of stories for adults to read with children and for ESL to polish their English and learn about people who have shaped their world. The whole ends with a glossary and index. (as well as credits)
The illustrations that are mostly simple and forthright as created by Lisbeth Kaiser.
I requested and received a free temporary ebook copy from Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books via NetGalley. Thank you!

I love the Little People, Big Dreams series and this is a wonderful addition to the collection. Great bite-sized information about many important people throughout history, perfect for pre-schoolers and young elementary schoolers.

So very cool! Short introductions into some very special people. Some I knew about but many I didn’t. I really enjoyed the timeline of their lives at the end of their section.

Quick enough to get the little one’s attention. Enough information to keep their attention.

This is such an amazing book. I love that 50 Incredibly Talented People from 1790-2003 are highlighted. Each person is unique and often was considered different or odd growing up. Somehow, they found the ability to stand up for their passion in life and changed the world.

This shows how great it is to be a diverse group of people from all over the world. Different Ideas and Life Experiences are what make for great ideas and abilities. This makes for a beautiful world and new ways of thinking need to be celebrated.

Each person has a passion for something in life. I think this is the most essential element to make dreams become reality. So, this is wonderful for children, but I really enjoyed this an an adult, too. There were so many ground breaking leaders that I learned from. I discovered many new facts about the people featured.

The ending was terrific, with the 51st person being the reader. Some child will fill in their name and dream and of course that will turn into reality one day and bring something new that we can not even know about now. The is the wonder of our children, who will shape the future with new ideas and talent.

Fantastic Photographs bring the people to life. Just an exceptional book.

Thank you NetGalley, Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara, and Frances Lincoln Children’s Books for a copy of this book.

This was fine! I think I would've enjoyed it as a kid. I think the selection of the included people could have been a bit better, both in terms of choosing less similar people and in leaving out people with really problematic parts of their lives (racism, abusiveness) that aren't mentioned.

I was lucky to get an ARC copy of the Little People, Big Dreams: Treasury, which is a collection of 50 previous LPBD stories. I have seen these books around and about in a variety of different bookstores as well as shops that sell books and other items so I was looking forward to seeing what all the fuss was about.
There was a great mix of life stories throughout, making sure that the focus didn't land on just one "type" of person, and the authors made sure to show the interconnecting links between the lives of the people showcased in the treasury. One thing I would have liked to see is the interconnecting factors between some of the ages of the people, such as Anne Frank and Martin Luther King Jr, since especially in this case we think of them being from different eras in time when they were, in fact, the same age.
These books are written in a way that both adults and children can enjoy them and learn about a variety of different historical figures. I learned so many new facts along the way, even about the people who I already knew about, and I loved that they didn't miss out on any of the gritty parts of the person's life, instead, they just worded it in a way that was "child-friendly" so that children could understand that they had a tough life and adults/older children can add their own contextual knowledge to fill in the gaps.
I would recommend this treasury so much that I am considering getting some of the individual books for the people that I haven't found out about in this book. I also might try and use the pages on Ada Lovelace and Alan Turing as resource material for some activities for the students in my school as this is a resource that both the lower and higher ability students could understand and use.

This book has some of the same people that I have already read about in the Little People Big Dreams series, but also others that I had never heard of. This has wonderful bite size pieces to get kids curious about important people. The timelines between people were also a nice touch.

I can't rave about the Little People, Big Dreams series enough! I love these children's books for how fun and accessible they make learning about historical figures. This particular book is a collection of 50 historical figures, many if not all that go on to have full books in the series with more detail. The book is organized chronologically, starting with Mary Shelley in 1790. Each figure has a page of information and an illustrated timeline of their life and importance. What I like about this series too is that while it covers big names like Mary Shelley and Anne Frank, it also includes lesser known and modern people who are important as well.

Treasury: 50 Stories from Brilliant Dreamers is a beautifully curated collection of 50 short biographies from the Little People, Big Dreams creators aimed at a slightly older audience (7+). Due out 9th Nov 2021 from Quarto on their Frances Lincoln Children's imprint, it's 224 pages and will be available in hardcover and ebook formats.

These stories are entertaining, enlightening, and important. They give age-appropriate backgrounds and biographies of iconic scientists, sports and cultural icons, inventors, and artists throughout the modern era, grouped chronologically from 1790 to the modern day.

Five stars. This would make a superlative reading circle book, classroom or public library book, or gift. I'm impressed by the way this series always manages to provide age appropriate biography without emphasizing or detracting from the racism, professional sexism, and troubles the subjects lived through. This would make a great starting point for deeper research for young readers who are interested in STEM subjects, arts, natural history, literature, music, sports, or political history.

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes

This is a beautiful, colorful anthology with eye-catching illustrations and inspiring content! This anthology of 50 of the "Little People" series of biogrophies, written specifically for children. I appreciated very much that each short story of the life of a famous, inspirational person, includes a bit about each one's childhood and how they got to where they wanted to go--this made it much more relatable for my little one. We also loved the timelines for each inspirational person's life, which feature more beautiful illustrations as well as portraits and photographs, when available. These are just the kind of stories that I grew up on--but less white-washed and patriarchal, and I can't wait to get my hands on the hard copy!
