I'm always looking for ways to improve my leadership skills and become a better manager. This book made me consider what is really important and what matters much less, if at all, in making solid connections with others and being a mentor and leader.

Great read. This book has helped me open my eyes on different areas of my life that's need to refocus.

I wanted to read this book not just for the sake of learning something about leadership but more about knowing what to watch out for and above all, as a facilitator working with rural communities, to know how to get the most out of people because collaboration/teamwork is key in my kind of work.
I loved this book, from the very beginning, the author states what he is talking about and why- no promises of success or of getting it right the first time, but what he said that made me relate to this book is that leadership at the core is about people and that in itself is ever changing and not easy. I appreciated that kind of honesty.
He also goes through the seven areas of leadership in detail.
I feel like this book is more suited to anyone who not only wants to engage people in doing a task, but also changemakers, advocates and those in structured/hierarchical institutions. It's a detailed book on people, actions, and leadership.
Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the eARC.

Great book that covers many aspects of leadership from value, to conflict, decision making and business performance. Ultimately this resource is conversational, but able to be implemented, and provides an understanding of how strong leadership does contribute toward business performance. I recommend this one! Thanks to NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
