This book is written so beautifully. It is heartbreaking.
It’s very short but packs a punch. A great book.

This is a beautiful but a times heartbreaking book about adopting a child who has had a traumatic start in life. Emma and Martin adopt Libby and the book describes their journey and emotions. The subject of foetal alcohol syndrome and attachment disorder is very well addressed. An interesting insight of the struggles that adopting can bring.

A lovely, reflective book that considers adoption and the many and varied emotions around it.

This short but profound book is written in such a poetic way yet is about some tough subjects. Adoption in itself is a life changing event for all but throw in attachment disorder and fetal alcohol syndrome and it makes it very daunting.
