I love this series. This was also a very fun one to read, it helps to capture the silliness of Einstein

I absolutely love how this series makes non-fiction text manageable for kids. I don't even think they would realize they are learning! Each page usually has 4 lines, but there is a lot of information packed in there and the illustrations are also beautiful. The end of the book has a full page or two with more information about the person. I recommend these books to my students and have them on my classroom wishlist.

Albert Einstein is one the most important people of human history. His contribution in the field of physics is undisputed. To explain his life and achievement and introducing him as a human being to young kids is very important. This book achieves the goal perfectly.

I read this book solely to identify where it would fit in our collection, but I really liked it because it goes beyond what we learned about Einstein in school. Also, there's tons of pictures of him sticking out his tongue in it.

I received an electronic ARC from Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books through NetGalley.
Wonderful first look at Einstein's life for younger readers. Sanchez Vegara takes readers from his childhood through his major successes as a scientist and his activism as a human being. The illustrations capture the chaos he worked in and the incredible problems he solved. The timeline at the end offers further information for readers to explore.
The latest in the Little People Big Dreams series.

I have been a huge fan of this series from the beginning and am always ready and excited to read the next book. I have been waiting for Albert Einstein and of course it was as wonderful as I knew it would be. It is readable and handles the difficult questions of Nazi Germany with sensitivity. This is building into an excellent collection that any school or library should have. Not only do the books introduce the person in an accessible way they provide photographs and timelines which are wonderful and really encourage the readers to find out more for themselves. As a history/citizenship teacher I cannot recommend these books highly enough.

The ‘My First Little People, Big Dreams’ series provides informative and inspirational biographies about people who left a mark on this earth, no matter what difficulties they have encountered.
These stories are very short, but that’s because they’re books for children, so it’s totally understandable.
I think they are a very smart and wonderful way to introduce little children to such important figures.
This little book tells the story of the legendary scientist Albert Einstein. He not only revolutionized physics, but he was a man rooting for peace and equality among men.

Albert Einstein is the newest lead in this latest edition of the Little People, BIG DREAMS series by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara. This series is such a delight and the perfect way to educate not just kids but everyone about historic and cultural icons.

Albert Einstein was a German-born theoretical physicist, widely acknowledged to be one of the greatest physicists of all time. The book follows Einstein as he published his first scientific paper when he was only 10 years old to creating his Theory of Relativity.

Jean Claude illustrates this installment and does a fantastic job. Claude's art style was so captivating and his art definitely further helped tell Einstein's story. I love collecting these books and am so thrilled to add this one to the rest of my collection.

I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

This is an excellent addition to the Little People, Big Dreams series. The story of Einstein is told with a sense of humanity and with admiration for this renowned scientist and man.

Readers learn that young Einstein took time to develop; he did not speak until well past the expected time. His mind worked in its own way but led him to revolutionary scientific discoveries.

This book also highlights Einstein’s humanitarian efforts. He was able to emigrate from Germany when the Nazis came to power but did not stop there. He encouraged American universities to hire other Jewish scientists so that they would not die. Einstein also cared about other forms of discrimination in his new country.

The illustrations in this title perfectly accent the story. There are also additional resources at the end of the book.

Many thanks to NetGalley for this title. All opinions are my own.

There are several things to be said about the timing of Albert Einstein's appearance in this series – one, how the heck could he be so late in the day, and especially come after the likes of Elton bloody John and Ru bloody Paul? The other things are in the series' defence, with the first twenty books dedicated just to the heroines suitable to primary school children, and the fact that there are copious early readers probably already out there about how Einstein looked a bit wacky, lacked certain academic abilities and yet changed the world.

Oddly this telling hardly mentions his school life, for we're forever told he didn't fit in and didn't thank anyone for a rigid curriculum – but still outsmarted all those who might have taught him anything, and most people who wrote the books he turned to for his physics and maths education. Otherwise it's a standard zip through the man's timeline, with an added 'woke' emphasis at the end about how he campaigned on anti-racism grounds, and proved an example to all. As usual the artwork needs a lesson in real perspective (and I have no idea why he's dumped in a rowing boat for one image here – it must be a part of his life I don't know about), but this is a good entry to the series. Whatever it says about its priorities.

Another great book in this series! An inspirational brief biography about renowned scientist, Albert Einstein. I loved learning his childhood and his innate curiosity that propelled his success. I love that we learn about his social activism as well. This would make a wonderful gift or bedtime story.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.

I received an advance copy of, Albert Einstein, by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara. Albert Einstein was a very generous and kind man, besides being a genius. This is a great inspirational story for kids.

This is a fantastic introduction to Albert Einstein! I appreciated that his struggles in school and possible neurodivergence were addressed. That might be very reassuring and inspiring to students experiencing some of the same challenges. His contributions to science were explained very accessibly. The author did not shy away from the dangers presented by the Nazis or Einstein's disapproval of nuclear weapons, but these concepts were presented in a simple, straightforward way that kids should be able to process.

The illustrations were lively and fun. I liked the allusions to the famous photo of Einstein with his tongue out. This would be a great addition to elementary school and classroom libraries!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

This is a spectacular edition and needs to be part of your collection.

Children NEED to read this book! It focuses on a little boy who wasn’t the same as other little boys – he didn’t say his first word until he was 4 years old! He was disorganized, messy, didn’t have any friends and didn’t enjoy school at first. The beautiful narrative highlights that despite his habits and late development, he grew up to become one of the most original minds of the 20th century! It’s OK to be different.

Albert’s dad piqued his curiosity when he gifted Albert a pocket watch on his 5th birthday. Unbeknown to him, this was the ‘key’ to ‘unlocking’ his son’s mind. Suddenly, Albert was curious about how the needle worked. This gift was instrumental to Albert devoting his life to explaining the relationship between space and time and laid the foundation for the technology and inventions of the 21st century.

This unique little boy who finally found out what he loved most in life, physics and math, may have been a child of a few words, but he had many ideas in his mind. He became a legendary scientist who invented the most famous formula in the world!

Children NEED to read about this genius who proved that curiosity and imagination are more important than knowledge!

Congratulations to the illustrator, Jean Claude, for one of the finest illustrated books in this collection!
