Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for an early copy of My Wife is Missing. This was a nail biting read, many heart stopping parts. I got hooked right from the start. You think you know what’s happening and then you realize you don’t. The ending was unpredictable, a really, really, really good book.

D.J. Palmer is a go to for an exciting, twisty thriller and this one grabbed me from the first page. Michael Hart and his wife Natalie have brought their two young children for a vacation to New York City and Michael has run out to grab some pizza while the family waited in the hotel. When he comes back he sees something that sends shivers up his spine; his young son's beloved teddy bear lying in the hotel hallway. When he goes into the room he sees that his wife and children are gone along with their luggage. When Natalie doesn't answer his phone calls, he becomes terrified that something awful has happened. The first part of this book literally had me holding my breath for a bit as I couldn't imagine the fear that something like this would inspire. The book then moves in between the viewpoints of both Michael and Natalie while Natalie's goes from the past to the present.

Michael then embarks on a road trip of sorts accompanied by a police officer from NYC who says he has some time off and wants to help. Using any clues they can find including looking at security cameras and using social media, Michael is determined to find his family all the while admitting he is holding on to secrets himself. I won't say much more about the plot but there are twists and turns and Natalie who suffers from insomnia is not always a reliable narrator, nor is Michael who is hiding some things from his family. I did think the character of the police officer was a bit unbelievable, but I loved the car chase and thought the ending was just perfect.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for this ARC. Natalie and Michael Hart just arrived for a weekend in NYC with their kids but when Michael comes back from picking up pizza, Natalie, the kids and their luggage are gone. Michael thinks his family has been kidnapped. Natalie is running because she is afraid of her husband. Wow, this book was FULL of rollercoasters! Palmer has a great way of making everyone look guilty! Great thriller!!! #MyWifeIsMissing #DJPalmer #StMartinsPress #May2022

When I read this book, My Wife Is Missing by D.J. Palmer, it captured my attention from the very beginning. Halfway through the book, I thought I knew what the outcome was going to be, but I didn't see the twist coming. This book definitely kept me reading well into the night. Like all of the other books that I've read so far by this author, I have enjoyed reading this one too! #MyWifeIsMissing

I've become a big fan of D.J. Palmer and My Wife Is Missing did not disappoint! This was such a fun book to read! There is a ton of suspense and so many twists and turns that kept me guessing throughout- and just when I thought I had the answers, it changed again! I enjoyed the multiple POV's, the dual timelines, and the cat and mouse chase. If you enjoy a roller coaster ride, this book is for you.

Thank you Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for the advanced reader copy of this book for my honest opinion. My Wife Is Milling publishes on 5/10/22.

I received a free copy from NetGalley. More than the usual number of twists and turns. The wife drives me a bit bonkers the first half of the book. I mean really, you run from your husband with the kids while exhausted because he had an affair? But there is so much more back story in the second half of the book so hang in there because it is worth the wait to get to it.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC from one of my favorite authors. This book follows a couple with secrets between the husband and wife. It starts off with a family trip that was supposed to bring the couple together but rather opens the scene for the wife to take her children and run. The book goes back and forth from both of the couples' point of view and back story to what lead them to this situation. I don't want to give it away but it was a wild ride with a good ending. Check it out!

What a wild ride from start to finish. Really thought I had it figured out once Natalie started running away. Told in different POV between Natalie and Michael is truly is a who’s word is true. Then told in a different timeline that was exciting to see what all happened leading up to Natalie running. Definitely a big twist at the end on the murders that were lingering between their marriage. Was not expecting it at all. But also a little upset that it ended with justice but still open to what will happen next.

Thanks to NetGalley and St.Matin’s Press for the opportunity to read and review this book.
I really wanted to like this book. I love the author and the story sounds great but just too much random happening everywhere. It started out interesting then when the insomnia took over it seem to drag on and on. Then all of a sudden the unrealistic state to state chase to find Natalie and the kids. Everything seemed rushed to finish the bizarre ending. To me this story was all over the place with unlikeable characters.

My Wife is Missing by D.J. Palmer is a book that you will be unable to put down. The main characters are Natalie and Michael Hart. They are a married couple, not happily married as we come to find out. Natalie has been suffering from debilitating insomnia, for which she has not been able to find anything to help her. Michael has been slightly absent at home, joining a new gym and getting fit. In order to improve things with the family, a trip has been planned to New York. Upon arrival at the hotel, the family is hungry so Michael goes to get some food. When he returns to their hotel room, Natalie and the children are gone. Michael is terrified and will stop at nothing to find them. However, in attempting to find his family, long kept secrets come to light. Can Michael and Natalie survive these new secrets that have now been revealed? There were many twists and turns that I never saw coming. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone that loves a good psychological thriller. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my advance review copy in exchange for my honest review.

Hop in and buckle up! This is a book that is one wild ride filled with more twists and turns, and faster than a first rate rollercoaster ride! Hold on tight because you will not see the ending coming on this one! I loved how this book twisted through secrets and lies into a masterpiece psychological thriller that you just wanted to savor! Many thanks to St.Marten’s Press and Netgalley for providing me with an advanced copy to read in exchange for my review.

I received an arc copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. I normally enjoy books by this author but this was a disappointment. It started off really good and it just kept dragging on repeating the same thing over again. I found things to do with the police too far fetched and was really disappointed in the ending even though it had a few twists.

So good! This one was a tough one, because I was right…and wrong…at the same time. I kind of figured Mike’s affair wasn’t as clear cut as it seemed and I also pegged a friend as a foe, but not in the right way that’s for sure! The back and forth, past and present, was a little much at times but I really enjoyed the story and couldn’t put it down because I needed to see if my detective skills were up to snuff, I really enjoyed how things came together at the end but thought it was sad how Mike lost not just a love but a “sister”. Overall this was another fantastic D.J. Palmer book!

This book was a blast to read. The dual timelines and multiple POVs gave a very suspenseful setting while also taking the time to provide a good back story. I of course had my suspicions about all the characters as it was clear no one was reliable. I enjoyed the cat and mouse suspense that was basically an undercurrent each and every chapter. Trying to guess who was lying, who was telling the truth and who the hell was hallucinating because of insomnia. However. I gotta say, the twist was meh for me. I felt like it came out of left field and I did not like it. But I did like how things wrapped up in the end. Also...I am not sure if I liked the epilogue. Was it needed? I am not sure. I wonder how it would be if we never found out about a certain aspect of the book. Regardless. this one hooked me and ever with the hustle and bustle of moving and the holidays I made sure I had time to pick this one up. I will also read anything DJ Palmers writes.
