This anthology, as is usually the case, was of varying quality. Most of the stories, notably the following authors were really fab and good spooky fun:

Kathryn Le Veque, Chasity Bowlin, Maggi Anderson, Mary Lancaster(my absolute favourite, closely followed by Chasity Bowlin) Violetta Rand, Anna Markland, Elizabeth Johns, Elizabeth Keysian, Lynne Connolly, Maeve Grayson and new to me Whitney Blake. The others are middling.

However that is a huge list of spooky stories, some like Percy's Perdition, with a nicely spooky twist, so I would really recommend you try it.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and all opinions are my own.

Some great authors have come together to bring you entertaining short stories that will keep you engaged from beginning to end. Of course, I am never ready for stories to end especially when I adore the characters—that’s the only let down with this anthology.

Some of the best short stories cannot be found! The authors of
Dragonblade are some of the very best and they prove that over
and over with their entertaining stories.

Humor, ghosts, spooky happenings, intrigue, scary happenings and a wonderful cast of characters finding love, even from the other side!

Hard to say which ones are the best, because they all are amazing!!

So many of my favorite authors and some new ones to make up this great collection of ghostly stories! Lots of different kinds of ghostly stories in this anthology - there are some where the apparitions are helpful, but there are some where the ghosts are deadly.

Great collection and enjoyed all the books in this anthology!

Haunting stories filled with romance, loss, and adventure. Each story will move you. These authors have brought an intriguing and entertaining combination of stories you will not want to miss. I enjoyed every second spent reading this collection and hated to see it end. Definitely a collection I’ll have to read again each October. 💜💜💜💜💜

This was a creepy anthology with enough creepy stories to keep you up at might, even though they contained romance. My favorites were the stories where the characters interacted with the ghosts and not just saw them. There was a very good story about a ruined castle that actually scared me, until the end. But the story seemed so real with the descriptions and ghosts. There was a story where a skeletal body was found, hundreds of years after death, by following the ghosts cries. That story's ending was not as satisfying because they left the finding and re-burying of the body to a local minister. I wish they would have done it themselves to send the ghost off into the next level. All together, There were other stories that did not quite scare me enough, or needed more romance. But the main draw was the creepy factor. With 20 stories on all, it is hard to review everyone. I will say that I felt that this was a sucessful anthology and will be purchasing it myself to keep on my shelf. I give it 5 stars for wonderful, creepy tales.

Haunting, Spooky, and Romantic

This is a wonderful collection of tales that will thrill you, chill you, and make you sigh. There will be ghosts, frightening creatures, and even demons thrown in the mix. However, love is always there to light the way. I enjoyed this delightful collection of spooky, romantic shorts. I found myself turning the pages, enthralled by each story. I loved that I could finish each tale in one sitting. If you are looking for a collection of short stories with romance, and a healthy dose of the gothic and the paranormal, you might enjoy this fantastic collection. I did not feel that I was reading a collection of horror stories despite the creatures that go bump in the night. Somehow, the romance creates a balance, and it seems as though the angels are watching.

What a spooky collection! This collection of romance stories has such a variety of haunts from many ghosts, witches, purgatory, being buried alive, and even a ghost dog.

I have read many other books that are a collection by different authors, but I have to say that this one was a favorite. Typically I really like only a couple stories with others just being OK. That was not the case with this collection. I felt engrossed in each story and can't really pick a favorite since I liked them all. Each plot was unique enough to not feel like any ghostly tale repeats. Maybe include a story with vampires next year?

I am excited for more collections from this group of authors!

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for a copy of this digital book in exchange for my honest review.

If you like reading spooky, gothic romances, then this is one collection you will definitely want to get your hands on. Put together by a wonderful group of authors, some I already knew of and have read their work, and some brand new to me, this set of stories will pull you right in and won't let go. The stories are short, so if you like to binge read, you can breeze through quite a few of them at a time. The stories vary in steam levels, so there's something for everyone. The stories will captivate you, spook you, and keep you on the edge of your seat. An engaging and entertaining set that I am happy to have had the chance to read.

Thank you to Netgalley and Dragonblade for providing a complimentary copy. This is my voluntary review.

I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an advance reader copy of this story.

An interesting anthology of spooky stories by 20 authors. Each story is about the length of a novella. A few are new plots and many are a take on old stories like Edgar Allen Poe or even Cinderella. It took me quite some time to make it through the entire book. As usual there are some stories I didn't care for and some that worth the read.

This is a great collection of novellas! There was not a single one that I did not enjoy (which is quite a feat considering how many stories were included). A lot of the stories were love stories with a ghostly twist, but there were a few that I really wish I hadn't read right before bedtime. Perhaps what I loved most was that I was introduced to so many great authors that I had never read before and to series that I now want to track down and read all of.

I won't go through a review of all the stories because there were so many. Those that really stayed with me long after I finished them were: Nevermore (trust me, the ending will stick with you), Into the Night (because it was the creepiest/scariest of all of them), The Others of Ochil (a sweet story), Belware Bridge (kind of a Headless Horseman vibe), The Bridge to Love (Alexa Aston is one of my favorite authors and this story started out with a heartbreaking story, but ended much more happily), Blind Faith (loved the character of Amelia and this story made me want to read the rest of the series), The Ghost Bride (just a good ghostly mystery), Rohaise the Red (took an interesting twist), The Lair of the Burrells (I really wanted this one to be longer), and Guardian of Midnight Manor (this one had a twist that I definitely did not see coming).

A fun collection of spooky novella-length stories. Reading this was a great way to enjoy authors I was already familiar with and to discover a bunch of new authors as well. Nothing too gruesome here--romance remained the focus.
I received a free copy from NetGalley inexchange for an honest review.

I love anthologies and it introduces the reader to many authors. And this one being a Halloween centric one, I couldn't miss it. As with many anthologies, this one is also a mixed bag. My favorites of the bunch were the stories by Meara Platt and Elizabeth John.

So many fabulous authors in one collection! I have read the entire collection and enjoyed every single story! While a couple might have a more sinister or spooky twist, you then have the ghostly romances of Moonstone Landing and The Bridge to Love.
I can honestly say this is one of the best collections of authors and stories I have ever read!
Well done Dragonblade Publishing! Well done! I hope you publish more Collections and stories by these amazing authors.

Anthologies are one of my favorite types of books. I find stories written by my favorite authors, flexing their writing muscles to give fans a little taste of something different, and lots of stories by new to me authors. They are an excellent way to find new authors and new series, plus I can usually read each story in one sitting, sometimes more than one story. These authors cover many genre but each has written a story revolving around Halloween. A sure treat in itself. Treat yourself thie Halloween season and read this book!

I enjoyed this Halloween anthology as it has the perfect blend of historical/paranormal romances. I've been in a Historical Romance kick and I'm also missing reading some PNR so I was glad to try this out. Great for the Halloween spooky season. I have read a few of these authors before and others I look forward to reading more. It was a nice way to try some new to me authors out there even if they're novella style. I ALSO REALLY LOVE THIS COVER!

The perfect Halloween anthology.

This anthology introduced me to many new authors. I enjoyed Alexa Aston's novella (two ill fated couples, maybe one couple will actually have an HEA?). The right amount of gray areas balanced with shady and satisfying conclusions. There was a lot of ghost, so perfect for Halloween.

Recommend.
