With all the kids home again Cora Jane is thrilled. Emily and Boone are getting married. Gabi and Wayne are happy with their newborn Daniella. Samantha is the next project for Cora Emily and Gabi.
Samantha has been in New York as an aspiring actress. Lately things have not been going so well. She has come home for Emily's wedding and found out the best man is none other than Ethan. The star football player, war hero and local doctor who Samantha has had a crush on since forever. When they spend time together sparks fly but can they each get over their own stubbornness and past?
Sherryl woods manages to pull you right in with each novel in this series. It helps to have read the first two as the story refers back to the happenings but each novel has its own story and is beautifully told. The sisters in this book are as close as sisters can be and always have each others back. Even if that means laying it all out there whether good or bad and then standing back and hoping for the best. I loved how they stood up for each other but also told them how it was. Knowing that feeling could be hurt but that their relationship was strong enough to pull through. I'm sure I said this in my other reviews of sherryl woods series but that is the relationship my sister and I have and I cherish it so much.
Cora Jane is my favorite character in all three books but especially this one. In sea glass island Cora is given a backseat in the meddling and the other girls take over. I can see Cora coming to terms that her whole family is happy and in love. I feel her settling down and being comfortable in her world as every grandma should be.
This is a novel for every family girl and romantic. I will highly recommend this and look forward to sharing it when it is released.

What a lovely conclusion to the Ocean Breeze Trilogy. In the last book of the series we are brought into the life of Samantha. We are taken along to witness the love story that is Samantha and Ethan. The ups and downs and the finally conclusion are as warming and lovely as the first two books. With the tone, cadence and heart warming romance that Woods is so known for, this book ties up the story of the Castle family in a nice bow. I just loved getting to know the girls and loved being with them throughout the three books!
This series is a must for the Summer! 4 stars.

Samantha Castle had a crush on Ethan Cole in high school, only he didn't know she existed. Ethan doesn't want any complications in his life, the last one left him a shattered man and his career in the military left him without a leg.
The final book in the Ocean Breeze trilogy, Sea Glass Island is in my opinion, the best out of the three books and closes up the trilogy quite nicely.
Ethan Cole's background as a military man, his injury and his fiance's abandonment have left him slightly bitter and reluctant to trust Samantha. It also makes him a multi-dimentional character and the most interesting of all three heroes in the series. Ethan seems more flesh and blood than Boone or Wade and his relationship hangups are part of what make Sea Glass Island more interesting and engaging than its predecessors.
His way of coping with what life has done to him is to retreat within himself and avoid emotional entanglements. Ironic really since he's a doctor and he does genuinely care about his patients. Samantha represents a threat to his way of life. She makes him feel things he hasn't felt before and for the first time in a long time he catches himself starting to hope. He responds by shutting down at odd times and being gruff and at times rude.
Samantha, like her sisters, has had to learn tough lessons in life all on her own. She learned the hard way that being beautiful wasn't enough to make it as an actress and now that she's not as young as she used to be, she doesn't quite know what to do with herself.
Sea Glass Island isn't as dramatic as Sand Castle Bay and Wind Chime Point, even though the heroine is an actress but it does bring the Castle sisters full circle not only individually but as a family unit. Samantha finally gets the chance to work on her relationship with her sister Emily and her father. Their absentee father finally steps up and starts to get to know his adult daughters, which is awkward at times but works it's way up to heartwarming, and their grandmother Cora Jane can finally sit back and relax now that she's meddled in her granddaughters' lives to her satisfaction.
Family is everything in a small town and Sherryl Woods shows that no matter what happens in life, a good, strong family can make even the impossible seem possible. Sea Glass Island brings closure to the Castle family and fans of the trilogy in a way that will leave a smile on your face for days to come.
