An enjoyable read. from Brenda Jackson. The narrative was solid, the voice strong, and I was successfully engaged from start to finish. With the addition of suspense weaved through the pages, which was a pleasant surprise, it ensured there was something extra to this romance story.

I was happily giving this 4 stars until the last couple of chapters.

This is the 1st book in a new series from Brenda Jackson.
This is primarily about Jace (the oldest brother).
At the beginning their Grandfather dies and all three promise to turn around the failing family business.
Upon doing so, Jace hires Shana's company to help turn things around, where she finds out there is a lot of illegal activity happening within the company.
They fall in lust and then love with each other. Then a lot of other stuff happens.
I don't want to go too much into detail because there is a lot going on. Even though there is a lot going on, it's a very good story with interesting characters.
The most interesting aspect being that their father is in prison for murdering their mother. A crime, in which he is innocent.

I would put this into a couple of genres. Mystery, thriller, crime and most of all romance.

The relationship between Jace and Shana was intense and hot. The love scenes very good reading. The chemistry between the two characters were very well written.

Now onto my gripe and why I marked it down half a star.
Sorry folks (SPOILER)!
Why did the whole pregnancy thing have to be thrown in? they admitted their feelings and were going to admit to such before this news. Also how did we go an entire book with an incredibly healthy female lead that all of a sudden was taking antibiotics the last two weeks. Makes no sense and the scenario just felt like it had been thrown in. It was pointless and quite frankly insulting to Shana's character, who was supposedly a very smart lady with a high IQ.

Apart from the above, I really enjoyed this.
It was a good, strong start to a new series. All of the characters were interesting and I look forward to Caden's story.
I am also very intrigued by their father's story and the murder mystery there, so I will also continue to read the others to know that conclusion.
