Overall I enjoyed this book, I would say the main thing it was lacking was a good editor. But as a self-pub and a debut author the story was interesting and unique and was a mix of both Sci-Fi (leaned more heavily this way I'd personally say) and Fantasy.

You follow a cast of characters in this post apocalyptic America as there is political upheaval. I'd say the main perspectives for the book are from Drake who is a ambassador of sorts for the royal family to the people. You see evil princes, fey (all though I don't think they are fey like you'd typically think of), and an old order of monster hunters who are on the verge of extinction. I'd say the whole cast of characters are morally grey, and willing to do almost anything to meet their goals. It was definitely a darker story, all though I wouldn't classify it as grim dark, its definitely doesn't have very many lighthearted moments.
