Thank you to NetGalley and Workman Publishing for a digital review copy. All opinions are my own.

Looking for a unique way to present factual information on the earth's formation, expansion, and evolution? This book definitely gives you that. A fun look at the scientific details behind the earth, great for kids 10+. This is a good resource for students who want to know more about the history of earth's creation, but might prove to be too much information for those with only a casual interest. The illustrations were great and the interviews between the earth and the pencil kept everything moving.

'The Ultimate Biography of Earth' is a colourful, entertaining and informative book on Earth! The conversation-like narration of the book allows the reader to follow along. The timeline illustrated in each chapter allows the reader to navigate the estimated time frame. The comical illustrations help break down some dense information. Middle to upper elementary and up would appreciate this book!

This is a fantastic enrichment book for middle grades! The entire history of Earth, from the Big Bang to today, is explained in simple, accessible terms. The book is framed as an "interview" with Earth and the conversational tone is very readable. For tackling such a broad scope of information, this is not intimidating at all.

It's organized chronologically, tracing the development of Earth and various life forms across Eons and Eras. The text is broken up nicely to highlight important concepts and interesting facts. The art is colorful and engaging. It can easily be read in sections to avoid information overload. This would be a fantastic addition to elementary and middle school classroom and school libraries!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

An illustrated guide to our corner of the universe; front its explosive beginnings to present. This book provides kids with a basic introduction to cosmology, geology, physics, chemistry, and biology in an engaging manner and basic vocabulary. Great for most kids aged 8-14. Would make a great addition to a classroom or school library. The beginning of each chapter features a colorful timeline wrapped around the page to show the relative length of the eon or era described in the pages that follow. This book is jam-packed with a plethora of facts and details that feature throughout upper elementary and middle school science classes. As an upper elementary and middle grades science teacher, this was a joy to read. I could see my kids voraciously gobbling up the images and text. This is a massive undertaking, but the illustrator and author outdid themselves this this compendium of Earth's history. Eco-friendly tips at the end make this a great resource to feature for Earth Day as well! *cough cough* D'ya hear that school librarians! Random trivia at the end make for great pick-up topics for class discussion or to just raise interest in the book. Pronunciation guide at the end is kid-friendly. Further resources are also provided for those whose interests are piqued in any particular topic covered in this CliffNotes of Earth's history. Love this book!

This book is very well written and the pictures and dialogue between the Earth and the pencil is very entertaining. The Q+A with the Earth at the end also gives more information and questions for use to read about and think about .I read this book with my 5 and 3 year old as part of our homeschool lessons and they were both able to follow along and ask questions along the way. This will be a perfect addition to your home or school library!

Thank you to NetGalley and Workman Publishing Company for this eARC. All thoughts and options are my own.
