The book was awesome, it held your attention and was action packed.
I stayed up late reading it and endorsed it to my friends to read. It was exciting and fun to read.
The story line was very believable and realistic. It was a thriller as well as being clean.
I am looking forward to the next book by her, can't wait to read it.

I enjoyed this story and how it had plenty of surprises and plot twists! It was a little darker than the other books I have read by her, but I still thought that it was well done and suspenseful!

Penny Carlton is an EMS pilot. A critically injured young patient needed transport even though a bad storm is on its way. But they never reach their destination and Penny manages to land a crippled helicopter on a mountain. She goes to get help (you will be furious with her cost-cutting supervisor). What Penny doesn’t know is a serial killer on that same mountain.

Enter FBI Special Agent Holt Satterfield who is searching for that killer. Can he find the killer before he finds her?

You know how people say that a book was so good you couldn’t put it down? Well, I tried. I definitely tried. Life Flight is a page-turner from the very beginning. Just about the time you think Penny and members of her life flight team are safe…then they’re not. I had to keep reading or something might happen to her or someone else. That killer is relentless.

Obviously, this is an interesting plot. Well thought out with some unexpected twists. Those twists keep you, the reader, reading even when you have a to-do list a mile long. Characters that are believable in scenes that make you glad you are reading it, not living it. Flow? Be prepared to just “go with the flow” as things just don’t stop. It comes in waves.

A good book takes the time to let you know who the characters are. And not just the lead characters. As you read, you care about these people. That takes good writing and author, Lynette Eason, has done “good” work. Life Flight is my first Eason book but won’t be my last. And I am definitely looking forward to reading the second book in the Extreme Measures series.

I definitely recommend this book. Turns out laundry can be done another day. Be aware, nail biting may occur while reading.

I was flying home from San Diego the day I read Life Flight. I was a little apprehensive about my book choice of the day since this story has Penny, a medical hospital pilot, having a difficult time landing during a storm. Luckily where I was going there is no snow! :-) I was soon thoroughly engrossed in this story and finished it by the time I landed at home.

In Life Flight you get romance and mystery, along with lots of non-stop action and adventure as Penny and Holt, an FBI agent, search for a serial killer. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the Extreme Measures series.

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.

This is the first book in a new series and is a great start to it! I can’t wait to read the other books in this series. This suspenseful book will keep you on the edge of your toes as you read it. Penny flies an EMS helicopter for her job and is a phenomenal pilot. After completing an emergency landing in a dicey situation, she must get help for everyone on the flight. Holt, who is an FBI agent, comes to her rescue. As they discover new information, they find themselves realizing they don’t begin to know all that is going on. Together, they seek to discover who is after Penny and why. They also look to discover is it tied to the current case. This book will leave you on a roller coaster ride of highs and lows and readers will want to finish it once they start the book to discover what happened. I highly recommend you read this book and know you will not be disappointed!
***I was given a free electronic copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review. This is my honest opinion. Even though I received this copy free, I have purchased her books before.

With a jaw dropping beginning, this story takes off for an intense journey. I love reading about jobs that are dangerous. In this book we have a life flight pilot risking her life to make sure her patient arrives safely. The daring landing on a mountain top during a storm is nothing short of a miracle. I don’t know how
Penny kept her composure but with her quick decisions, she averts a crash.

With a dangerous criminal lose where Penny has landed, it will take all she has to survive. I like how she was more concerned for her patient and the EMS on board than her own safety. The author delivers a heart pounding story that has intrigue and danger. I like how the author not only gives readers a serial killer to keep up with, but a mystery that involves Holt.

Let me just say Holt has my vote for best protector, fierce investigator and the definition of integrity and grace. The other mystery going on in the story involves something from his past. I couldn’t wait to see how the author would wrap up everything, I wasn’t sure I was happy that the story ended but so excited to know that we have another book in the series coming soon.

I received a copy of this book from The Early Reader Program from Librarything. The review is my own opinion.

My thoughts: Life flight by Lynette Eason is an exciting story about helicopter pilot who lives in the area where a serial killer is loose. She has a critically injured patient on the helicopter and a couple nurses and they need to get to the hospital to save the patient's life but forced to make an emergency landing Penny finds herself in a precarious situation. People are hunting for them but will they find them in time? You must read Life light for an edge of your seat story that will hold your interest the whole way through. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it for romantic suspense readers. I was given a copy free and all opinions are my own.

Life Flight firmly cemented Lynette Eason into the favourites list! It was like reading an episode of Criminal Minds but better! This book was so exciting! And if it wasn't for the fact that I have to go to work, eat and sleep, I would've read it in one sitting. Darius Rabor is the first villian I've read that seriously gave me the creeps, I had goosebumps! I liked how real the story felt, it was simple things like the characters following proper protocol that made it feel more believable. Holt and Penny were amazing! I have no idea how someone copes with the level of stress they were under! I really like how their relationship was portrayed, it felt realistic and just so very normal. And their first kiss was such a beautifully sweet moment amongst of the stress and excitement of the story! I so enjoyed Life Flight! And I cannot wait for the next book in the series! I don't know who it will be about but I'm excited no matter what! And yes, I realize I'm using a lot of exclamation points but I'm just so pumped after finishing the book!

I forgot how much I loved Lynette Eason writing style and books, I am so glad I got this one. Not only is the flow of the story smooth and keeps pulling you forward, the mystery was interesting to watch unfold. Each new piece of information made it even more twisted crime and I was invested. The characters, both main and secondary, were great. They were people who you know trusted and cared for each, and they all worked well together. Penny and Holt made for a cute couple and they spent time talking and working through their issues as they came up. I cannot wait for the next book in this series!

This book was fantastic! Following Holt and Penny as they come together in pursuit of a serial killer, kept me in the edge of my seat the whole way thru! Their budding relationship was nice to watch develop, never really felt forced or too fast, and it's always a blessing when it's kept clean! The MO of the serial killer was quite disturbing, but I never felt that it was scary. He was very evil, but the story kept the right balance of suspense vs. good guys winning that can be hard to do well. Additionally, the romance really did stay secondary to the thriller party of the story - which was nice to see. I look forward to more books in this series/ from this author!

Wow! From the first sentence Lynette Eason grabs her readers by the arm and races them through a blood-pressure-raising chase after a serial killer who takes creepiness to another level. Eason allows you just the barest moments to catch your breath while continuing to escalate the stakes and give you chills until you think surely you're at the breaking point--and then she just sharpens the tension in yet another unexpected twist. Both Penny and Holt are endearing and earn respect while making just enough mistakes and showing enough weakness to make their character arcs and romantic exploration satisfying and believable.
One note: If you're easily creeped out, don't read this at night. During one particularly intense and rather chilling sequence I had to make myself save it until the next day or I knew I would never get to sleep--I couldn't stop reading and if I did I'd just be dreaming about it. I'm looking forward to the next in this series!

Romantic suspense? Twists and turns? Extra sub plot? Yes please! You’ll find all of these within this incredible novel. Penny is a helicopter pilot that works with a medical rescue team. Holt works for the FBI and has been rescued by Penny more than once. The first chapter starts off with a bang when Penny and her medical team are transporting a critical fifteen yr old girl to the hospital. Even with the weather not being conducive for flights, her boss orders her to go. A perilous flight ensues with a dangerous landing on top of a mountain. Penny learns of a serial killer on the loose after she heads out in search for help. Does she inadvertently find him, or does he find her? And where does Holt fit in to this scenario?
Penny lives in an old Victorian fixer-upper with creaks and groans and sighs, which adds to the suspense, especially when she’s alone late at night.
Holt having captured this killer once is put back on the hunt after he escapes. Lots of close calls, gun fires and knife fights later how do they possibly survive? I couldn’t put this book down, it was that good! Good thing I’m retired.
I received a complimentary ebook of this novel from the publisher through Netgalley. I was not required to write a review positive or otherwise.

Lynette Eason delights once again. Her pacing is excellent and keeps you turning pages wanting to know how the story plays out. A serial killer who escapes from jail and turns his sights on Penny, one of the protagonists, a nosy and persistent reporter, and a romantic relationship that may or may not happen with an FBI agent keeps you riveted to the pages and reluctant to put it down.

I believe this was my first Lynette Eason book and I was very impressed! I definitely plan on continuing this series and going back and checking out some of her other series. My own issue is that while this is book one in a series it seems to follow characters from a different series and appears to give some spoilers.

Life Flight is the first book in Ms. Eason’s Extreme Measures series. The story started off at a fast pace and did not stop. Penny is an emergency helicopter pilot who has an emergency with an extremely sick patient on board. She goes for help and run up again a serial killer. She gets help from Holt, an FBI agent. Penny and Holt know each other. This book is scary with serial killers and danger everywhere. They team up and take care of each and solve the mystery. I thought the writing was good and the story well done.
I am not crazy about serial killers but that in on me. I did enjoy the book. Thank you, Net Galley, for an advanced copy for an honest review.

An EMT pilot and an FBI agent working together is an interesting combination and the case is really suspenseful although it's not really believable. The Christian theme is nicely woven in without being pushy and the love story unfolds in a believable way.

Plunging you into the action from the very beginning this book has the feel of a second book in a series, even though it is the first. It took a little longer to get into this one, and I think it was because there was so much going on that I didn't connect with the characters right away.

EMS helicopter pilot Penny Carlton finds her endurance and skills pushed to the max as she and FBI agent Holt Satterfield try to stop a serial killer and clear his sister's name. There is definitely a lot going on in this chilling, action packed read.

This is very possibly the creepiest book I have every read by Lynette Eason. The bad guy is just so disturbing, especially in the way that he treats women and twists Bible verses, and I didn't like being in his head.

Penny is a quick thinking heroine, full of courage, I admired her for making her own way in life and not leaning on who she was related to. Holt is under a lot of pressure, with her personal life as well as the dark cases he has to deal with on a daily basis. I liked them together, but their time together was sporadic.

Overall this was a thrilling start to a new series, there was a lot to like about this book, but there were also parts that weren't to my personal taste. I liked the themes of returning to faith and trusting in God, as well as fighting for the truth. Great for fans of suspenseful reads, who don't mind some darker themes.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Do not read this book in the dark or while home alone!

This is a pulse-pounding, stellar new read from Lynette Eason. I could not put Life Flight down!

Penny Carlton is a pilot who works for EMS and is very good at her job. Her team receives a call to transport a VIP in critical condition to a medical facility on the other side of the mountain in a terrible storm. To add more excitement to the story - a serial killer is on the loose, there is a crash landing, and no satellite phone to call for back up, a contradictory boss, and people who aren’t who they appear to be.

Penny teams up with FBI agent Holt Satterfield to sort everything out, and to stay alive.

There’s so much suspense that even after putting the book down, I needed time for my heart to stop racing.
The only thing I didn’t like was the way the serial killer used his victims – it was disturbing, but then again, murder is disturbing no matter how it’s done.

And the twist at the end, wasn’t something I saw coming.

I received an ecopy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.

From the almost helicopter crash on the first few pages all the way to the ending I was on edge the entire time reading this book! Life Flight follows rescue helicopter pilot Penny and FBI agent Holt as they track down a serial killer. The helicopter rescue crew had some interesting characters, I hope future books in the series follow them. If you enjoy clean romantic suspense this is a great book for you! While this book is in the Christian genre and there were a few brief mentions of prayer, over all there were very few references to faith or Christianity in the book.

I received an ARC copy from NetGalley and Revel books. I was not required to post a positive review.

Life Flight starts with a bang and the action keeps up , pretty much throughout the book. The main character, penny s well as the 'big bad' and most ancillary characters were written well. The romance seemed a bit iff though. Look forward to seeing these charecters fleshed out more in future books..
