Who is Sir Ladybug? And why does he have a squire and a herald? Sir Ladybug knows the answer: because they are his friends. He has a squire who carries his home on his back, and a herald that likes talking about his friends.

Reading the Sir Ladybug series is very feel-good. He may know how to fight, but would rather find a peaceful solution if possible. Sir Ladybug knows when to sheathe his sword and find another option when dealing with a hungry bird that eats bugs. Paired with a cute art style, it is a perfect tale.

Sir Ladybug is a knight with heart! His friends want him to stick out more. He just wants to help friends along the way. With humor and wit, Sir Ladybug shows everyone how to be helpful and to not use ones sword except when they have to. This is a delightful early comic series and one that can be shared with adults (some references will be picked up by astute adults). Highly recommend!

Sir ladybug is a fun adventure for kids. The story kept them engaged and was adventurous enough for certain children that often tune out some of the slower paced read. I enjoyed the bug characters and whimsy.

Another silly, quick, early-reader graphic novel adventure featuring more silly bug/animal pairings. Young graphic novel fans/readers of Bug Boys will love Sir Ladybug just as much.

This was so cute and accessible for younger graphic novel readers. I really liked how the friends were lifting each other up and being supportive.

This is a graphic novel with bugs. Sir Ladybug has a sword and goes on quests. His friends gather around him and sing out his virtues.
Balzer & Bray and Edelweiss let me read this book for review (thank you). It will be published on March 29th.

Sir Ladybug hears someone asking for help. He goes to save them. It's a caterpillar a bird wants to eat. The bird says it's hungry but Sir Ladybug saves the caterpillar. Then one of the bugs suggest Sir Caterpillar make his special cake. He does. And then they offer a piece to the bird.

Will the bird like it?

What a positive delight of a graphic novel! This is a perfect bridge for young readers who are finding Easy Readers just a tad too easy but still are not quite ready for full format novels. The cast of bug characters are endearing and positively perfect encapsulations of roles in a friends group. Tabor has masterfully crafted a story about what does it mean to be a 'monster' and that traditional conflict can be resolved in nontraditional ways. Everyone should check out this book!

This is a cute story about friendship with humor sprinkled throughout. It has nature, poetry, video games, and even cake! I love the bright artwork and now want to live in a snail shell.

Sir Ladybug features the adventures of the brave and valiant title character along with his faithful companions, his herald, Pell the roly poly, and his squire, Sterling the snail. Sir Ladybug is a reluctant hero whose good deeds are enthusiastically promoted by his his best buddy, Pell. The trio is called on to rescue a yellow caterpillar in danger of being eaten by a monstrous chickadee. Sir Ladybug, Pell, and the caterpillar retreat inside Sterling the snail's shell to come up with a plan to save the caterpillar. They come up with a unique--and delicious--solution to the problem. This funny, well illustrated tale is a great introduction to graphic novels for young readers. It will appeal to fans of Elephant and Piggy and the Narwhal and Jelly series. I'm looking forward to the sequel and more adventures with Sir Ladybug!

Completely adorable -- I loved every page! I'll be adding this to my elementary school library wishlist -- I think this will have wide appeal in the K-5 set. Narwhal and Jelly fans, take note! Can't wait for the rest of the series.

Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

I loved this book. I teach middle school and I think I will still add this to my shelf. It was cute and the illustrations were well done. I also feel the vocabulary had a few challenging words in it.. The story of these little bugs and a chickadee was so dang cute and I just absolutely loved this book. I can't wait for the next one.

The premise here is easy enough to follow. Tabor is addressing our ideas of what it means to be a hero. Sir Ladybug is expected to behave in certain ways. He has much simpler aspirations, like cake baking. When trouble arises, he finds his own way to solve it. It's not a deep read but it is certainly charming.

I read this book to my little sister (age 5) and younger brother (age 9) and we all absolutely loved it, we had such a fun time reading it. It was so cute and funny and unique! There were lots of giggles while reading, I definitely recommend this book.

Sir Ladybug, by Corey R. Tabor, is a delightful romp through the ins and outs of making friends in a world of the eater and the eaten. Sir Ladybug, along with his trusty friend and herald, Pell, and his snail squire Sterling, need a quest. They just have to wait for one. When one appears, they take up the challenge without too much trembling. A chickadee wants to eat a caterpillar. But the caterpillar isn’t all that interested in being eaten. The friends, along with the caterpillar and his friend, all hide from the chickadee inside Sterling’s snail shell. They must come up with a plan. And maybe. Just maybe. It will work.

The artwork made me laugh out loud all throughout reading this book. It is so cute, and the story and words used are delightful and fun. The solution is fantastic and will teach kids the importance of creativity and kindness when making friends. I definitely recommend Sir Ladybug for kids and adults alike, and I’m looking forward to the next books in this series.

(I was given an ebook copy from Netgalley of this book for an honest review. All opinions are mine.)

Sir Ladybug is my new favorite series! Fans of Mo Willems’ “Elephant and Piggie” books will LOVE getting to know. Sir Ladybug, Pell, Sterling, and the many friendly (and monstrous) characters in this wonderfully playful and charming first book in a series.

This is a children’s graphic novel following Sir Ladybug and his adventures with his friends Pell and Sterling,

This was absolutely adorable - I loved all the characters, and the art and story were both super cute. I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. I'm loving Sir Ladybug who is the bravest bug out there and never shies away from a quest. Great for younger kids who like graphic novels.
