An exciting story! Madison needs to find her husband's killer. She can't move on unless he is caught. Jonas will do what it takes to protect Madison.

This is an action packed book that kept me guessing. I loved the interaction between all the characters. Jonas works with some fantastic co-workers. They are there for each other.

I am a retired probation officer. I love books that involve courtrooms, lawyers police and the chase for the "bad guys". This one delivered.

This is Book Three of a the US Marshall series. I highly recommend them all.

I received this ebook from Revell to review.

Book 3 of the series, it’s a thrilling suspense. This is a clean read and fast paced. The kind of book you need to know what happens, so be prepared to start and finish on the same day. Even if you didn’t read the first 2, it won’t take away from the story. I love love the characters.
I’ll buy the first 2 because I’m obsessed with this series.

This final story pulls together all the loose threads the first 2 stories leftover. Like all Harris stories, this one starts fast and doesn't let up. Going back to one of Harris's stories is always a joy for this reason - it's consistent pace. She keeps the reader turning pages.

I've thoroughly enjoyed Madison and Jonas's characters arcs. The 3 stories provide the page depth to really develop characters and Harris does this marvellously with these two. We finally get to discover who killed Madison's husband, Luke, and her stalker, but Harris sure keeps us guessing with this one.

This story had so much going on and Harris does a good job keeping the reader on top of it. It could easily have run out of control but Harris links the threads of the various plots really well. I was a little surprised by a couple of the end outcomes but they are all generally satisfying.

If you're a romantic suspense reader who likes to be challenged in their reading you'll enjoy this US Marshalls series. Start with Book 1 so you get the full picture.

I was very fortunate to receive an early ebook copy via NetGalley as part of the Revell Readers program but this had no bearing on my review.

I received an ARC on Netgalley for my honest review.. I was so looking forward to reading this book and I was so disappointed in it... Unfortunately the author made many mistakes about the Federal Court system and the U.S. Marshals and the mistakes were big enough that I almost stopped reading by Chapter 4.
I hate this because Lisa Harris is one of my favorite authors...

The Catch is the third book in the US Marshals series. While you may be able to read this one okay as a standalone, you are definitely going to get the most out of the story by reading them in order. While the primary mystery in this book is new, there has been an ongoing mystery (that of the murder of Madison's husband) and a romance between her and Jonas that has been building throughout the course of the series. As such, while you may be able to get caught up enough to enjoy the book, you definitely will be missing a lot of what lead up to this point.

With a name like The Catch, one can assume that this would be full of action...and it absolutely was from start to finish. There was a lot going on in this story, and just when you think you might have it figured out or that things were drawing to a close, another surprise would be thrown in to keep us guessing. Lisa Harris has certainly mastered the art of creating a suspenseful read that will keep you on the edge of your seat and this was another great example of that. I thought it was a very good conclusion in the series, and one not to be missed by romantic suspense fans!

** I received a complimentary copy for consideration. All thoughts are my own.

In this fantastic novel there was three mysteries to untangle. Harris crafted the novel where Madison would focus on one aspect of one of the novels, then the next one would rear its ugly head and take her away from the first mystery. The moved along quickly, but did allow some downtime for the characters as they rushed from keeping their victims lives safe. I was absolutely captivated by the atmosphere, and the characters...

This was a good conclusion to the series. There were three different main story lines that intersected at points. I appreciated Madison’s words to Ava, “I’ve learned that pain and tragedy become a part of who we are. What happened to you changed everything, and you will never be who you were before that day. The scars and hurt become a part of the fabric of who you are. But that doesn’t mean you can’t move forward despite the pain” (location 3308). This is a lesson that Madison herself has to fight to believe. She’s interested in Jonas but feels she can’t move forward until she figures out who killed her husband.

I enjoyed the book but had two small issues with it. I felt that a few things were dealt with too quickly and neatly, and a little predictably. I also felt the timing or pace of the book was a bit clunky. It felt there were two or three different ending spots and then things would keep going on to the next storyline. It did do a good job of tying all the different ends up, however, which I appreciated.

Thank you to Revell for providing me with a free e-copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

What is the truth and who can be trusted?

‘At some point, she’s going to have to trust someone.’

Wow! What an incredible ending to the US Marshals series. There are so many twists and turns you begin to wonder if the threads will ever get unraveled. Kidnapping, murder, witness protection and more will keep you on the edge of your seat until you finally reach the conclusion.

Dealing with the pain of loss, Madison is still trying to solve the 5 year mystery of her husband’s murder. Can she possibly learn to trust enough to move on, even if it never gets solved? WITSEC was supposed to protect Ava, so who is the leak that puts her in the crosshairs and forces her to distrust anyone who wants to help?

An ARC was received through LibraryThing, Revell and Baker Publishing Group. These thoughts and impressions are my own and were in no way solicited.

Harris has written another pretty good suspense filled novel with a dose of romance included. I really like the setting of the Seattle area. A lifelong western Washington resident, I like her references to our beautiful scenery like Mt. Rainier, the Olympic Mountains and Snoqualmie Falls. Her description of the Hoh Rain Forest was great. Harris did mess up with the Schmitz Preserve Park, however, as it is in west Seattle and far from a freeway. (883/4569)

The main characters, Madison and Jonas, are U. S. Marshals. I was a bit puzzled by some of their actions. The attempt at arresting Callum was funny. No one was covering his get away vehicle and the marshals identified themselves too soon, allowing him to run and escape. (2508/4569) I laughed but I don't think the scene was supposed to be humorous. The same kind of botched arrest attempt happened in the Schmitz Preserve. I was surprised the marshals in the Seattle office would not be aware of a person in WITSEC being in their local, except for the person's handler. I really do hope the U. S. Marshals are better at their job than portrayed in this novel.

Harris explores some themes in this novel, such as working through grief, looking to God for strength. The budding romance between Madison and Jonas is handled well and I did like how their characters are developed. Despite what seems like an almost unbelievable twist near the end, I did enjoy reading this novel and will continue to look for more from Harris.

I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.

“The Catch” by Lisa Harris is a fantastic novel! This is probably one of my favorite books I’ve read this year. The characters are well developed and so likeable. This book had me hooked from the first page. I don’t know how Lisa Harris does it, but her writing is so engaging, and you feel like you’re actually part of the story! This is the third book in the US Marshals series. I highly recommend this book and all of Lisa Harris’ books.

I received this book from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest opinion.

Book three in the US Marshals, The Catch is one action-packed amazing story. It certainly is a thrilling conclusion to this trilogy by Lisa Harris. What begins as seemingly unrelated, criminal actions keep Madison and Jonas investigating each one. It is with the help of the team and other law enforcement agencies that all are tied together by the end. What is most amazing is how they are connected.

I was concerned that justice may not win out in the end but should have never feared. The truth does come out and justice is not a respected of persons in this book. That may not have been the case if the Deputy US Marshals had not been determined and vigilant.

The Catch is a fictional account of the awesome work being done by the best in law enforcement. Procedures are followed no matter the personal feelings and emotions of the characters making this a realistic look how US Marshals deal with the daily responsibilities. Don’t get me wrong Madison and Jonas are full-fledged characters with feeling, emotions, and opinions but they don’t let that hinder following the law. In their personal lives it is all there to see especially with victims, witnesses, family, and their sweet romance. I loved every word of this book.

The publisher through Net Galley provided a digital ARC. I have voluntarily decided to read and review, giving my personal opinions and thoughts.

This is a gripping tale that involves Deputy US Marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn. It is a fitting third book in this series -- with all kinds of twists and turns and some answers to puzzles in previous books in the series.. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series so far and hope there is more to come. I really enjoy Lisa Harris' work and all the details she puts into the story. I'm deliberately not putting any of those details into this review because there is so much to discover in this book that I want the reader to discover them all ! If you like this genre I feel sure this will be one of your favorite reads this year!

I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All views expressed are only my own honest opinion.

A completely fascinating third book in this series! Deputy US Marshal Madison James is a strong woman still looking for her husband’s murderer. Her partnership with Deputy US Marshal Jonas Quinn has become a strong friendship built on trust. Someone is stalking her…is it the same person who killed her husband and shot her? She is wary of getting closer to Jonas and putting him in danger. When the wife of a judge is found murdered in her home, the case expands to the mistress of the judge who gave birth to his son, Easton. The cases they work are never easy, but now Easton and his babysitter are missing. The judge was hearing the case of a gang member, was the gang responsible for his wife’s death as well as his missing son? As they follow the evidence the trail leads to a man who she once arrested. Suspense, danger and fascinating twists from the very beginning to the end, but is the danger really over for Madison and Jonas? I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)

The judge’s wife has been killed, a courtroom has been ambushed, a protected WITSEC witness has disappeared. And it is all connected.

Madison James and Jonas Quinn, US Marshals, are assigned to one case, but find that they are working on all three. The plot takes us from Seattle’s inner city to the rural forests surrounding the ciTy to the waterways that define the city’s western boundary. Murders, kidnappings, and chase scenes define the crimes - even as we learn to appreciate the courage and strengths of the Marshals and the victims.

The result is a satisfying faith-based thriller that will hold the reader’s attention from the beginning to the end. Speaking to faith, courage, and grief, the book will be of value to many readers. Though not the author’s best work, it was worth the time I spent reading it. I give the book 4-½ stars.

** “Sometimes it was easy to lose her focus and forget that just because they lived in a fallen world didn’t mean God’s purpose had changed or that he was no longer sovereign and mighty.” **

Lisa Harris wraps up her US Marshals series with “The Catch,” a fast-paced, action-packed romantic thriller.

As Marshal Madison James is still searching for her husband’s killer, as well as cautiously thinking about a relationship with fellow marshal Jonas Quinn, the two become drawn into a case involving a questionable judge, a potential murder, a missing baby, and a missing person in witness protection.

As they work together to find the missing woman and baby, Madison and Jonas must also attempt to overcome past trials and traumas to finally build their own relationship.

Harris once again creates a thriller that’s filled with lots of action with just enough romance to please everyone. She develops intriguing characters that are filled with flaws and relatability. She also includes several great themes in “The Catch,” like pain and tragedy become part of who we are; God understands our sorrows and pains even when we can’t pray; finding our courage; dealing with guilt; nothing takes God by surprise; God’s purpose doesn’t change; relying on faith (“But faith was hard to hold on to when you’d lost everything. Trust was hard to regain when it has been broken”); and life is full of seasons.

Fans of authors like Lynette Eason, Irene Hannon, Terri Blackstock, Sandra Orchard or Janice Cantore will love this novel.

Five stars out of five.

SPLENDID!

Author Lisa Harris has just concluded her US Marshals Series and, in my opinion, she saved the best book for last and it is splendid! This plot contains the essential elements of an excellent Romantic Suspense as it is filled with mischief, mayhem, murder, multiple attempted murders, kidnapping, abduction, family drama and a rekindled romance. There is even more at stake when Deputy US Marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn are working on this case and they come across clues related to her husband's murder and her shooting. How are these two cases related? Will Madison find the answers she has so desperately searched for? Will finding out the truth allow her the freedom to pursue a relationship with Jonas? This plot is fast-paced and will keep your attention from the first page until the last! The characters are realistic and believable. The criminals are particularly cunning and will stun you with their conniving evil plans. This is a splendid conclusion to the US Marshals Series!

I was provided a complimentary copy of this book by Revell and NetGalley. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence.

A fast paced thriller filled with danger, suspense, and romance! Masterfully written, it captures the reader from the beginning sentences and holds on tight until the last page is turned.

We follow Madison and Jonas on another dangerous adventure as they fight to uncover the truth and find a missing baby. Madison struggles at times to remain focused as her own personal case begins breaking open and the hope of finally getting closure becomes more real.

Absolutely loved this thrilling series and this last book lived up to my expectations! Multilayered characters like Madison and Jonas gave the book great depth and interest. I hated to see the series end!

The Catch is a modern-day thriller written by Lisa Harris. It is book three in the U.S. Marshalls series. You do not have to read the previous books in order to enjoy this one.

Summary: Deputy US Marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn have to find a missing woman. She holds the keys to finding a missing child, and solving the murder of a judge’s wife.

But things aren’t as they seem, and the marshals will have to use every skill they possess to solve this case before more people die.

My Thoughts: This book was very good. It was extremely action-packed and was filled with chase scenes, shoot-outs, and more.

I enjoyed the story, and thought the author did a great job wrapping up this series.

If you enjoy books with plenty of action and a little romance, this would be a good one to read.

I would like to thank Revell for providing me with a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my review. Thank you!
