This is my first time reading anything by this author and definitely will not be my last!!

Merry Anna moves in to the small town of Antler Creek after a difficult divorce. Adam is a local store owner and does very well in the local rodeo. Their lives begin to intermingle and then a wrench is thrown into the story as Adam finds out he is the dad of a 5 year old girl named Zan. This really added a lot of depth to the story and endeared the characters with the reader. The rodeo theme was so much fun to explore as a reader! I was also salivating over the strawberry pie that Adam made for Merry Anna. I was really hoping to find the recipe at the back of the book!

Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

For me, cracking open a Nancy Naigle book always feels like coming home. The vivid descriptions and loveable characters have everything playing out right before my eyes, making reality disappear for a little while.

What Remains True contained all the feels I was hoping for, with little reminders tucked between the pages. I can always use a little nudge when it comes to not being afraid to try new things, or trying to see things from another point of view. Mixed into a beautiful storyline are a few of those little lessons.

I loved everything about this book, and look forward to visiting this town again in the future. I have not read the first book in the series, but I'm definitely going to, after falling in love with this one. If you are looking for a feel-good, small town read, with wonderfully complex and irresistible characters, give this book a try.

This is my first book from this author. I'd say it's more of a 3½ star book.

Being that I've always loved the idea of the rodeo life and ranching, that was a big appeal to me with the storyline.

I liked that Merry Anna was trying to find herself apart from her family and job. I felt like the repetitive talk about trying new things was a bit much. I appreciated how she decided to say "yes" to new opportunities though. Also, I couldn't reconcile how attached her parents were to her ex, who was clearly a piece of work. In fact, it really got my hackles up every time she talked to them. Ha ha ha

Adam was a very focused guy so I understood his end goal. It made me feel for the guy when he didn't have his family's support. I liked seeing riding bulls through his eyes.

I also liked the small town feel. I felt like the author really captured the sense of community that's typical to little country towns.

There were times when I really got into the story and other times I felt like the conversation was flat. It also seemed like sometimes Merry Anna and Adam were really believable and other times I felt like they were just best being neighbors.

You see in this story how not being fully truthful complicates things, especially relationships that are just starting out. It certainly throws a wrench in things.

"What remains true"
" What Remains True " by Nancy Naigle was a great Contemporary, Christian romance novel. What a great book that was heartwarming, adventures and down to earth.

The story about Merry Anna Foster was a COO of her families business. She was just over a divorce and she needed to find herself. What did she want to do for the rest of her life.

Adam Locklear was a Rodeo bull rider that had a goal of winning the big pot ate the end of the season. He is on the right track. Keep everything at bay!

This was such a great book. You are pulled in from the very beginning and you stay there throughout the whole book. The characters are real and likable. It was a very fast read. I wished it would continue with the story, that's how great it was. The are several things I loved. It was the small town. It is a town that everyone knows everything about what's going on around town. There are small, sweet shops and great relationships.

I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars

I will recommend this book to family, friends and others through social media, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Wal-Mart, Goodreads and Bookbud.

I received this complimentary copy of this book from author, publisher through Netgalley for a honest review. All thoughts and opinions are mine and mine alone.

After a divorce, Merry Anna Foster takes a leave of absence from her positions as Chief Operating Officer at her family's company. While traveling, Merry Anna decides to stay for a while at a small North Carolina town and work in a local shop. Merry Anna is loving the small town and proving to her cheating ex-husband that it's possible to live on the alimony she gave him. Her handsome neighbor Adam Lockwood is a bull rider and feedstore owner, who is keeping his focus on winning the national championship. Since the timing is not right for a romantic relationship, Adam and Merry Anna decide to become friends. I received a free copy of this ebook from the publisher through Netgalley. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. I love that this break from her old life for Merry Anna gives her insight on her life and what's missing. I love how well she fits into the small town. I also love how Adam is able to deal with unexpected secrets and events. This is a clean, heartwarming and delightful romantic story.

I’ve never read a book by this particular author before and I’m not gonna lie, what piqued my interest was definitely the bull riding! I’ve loved watching it since I was a kid. It’s always been a fascinating thing for me, and this book portrayed the industry well. Small-town life is also a big aspect of the book. You meet many characters, each with their own way about them. They help you get a fill for the story and where it takes place. The main leads, Merry Anna and Adam are très très cute. They fit each other like apple pie and ice cream! Of all the characters though, Zan was my favorite. She reminded me a lot of someone near and dear to me. Zan had such a bubbly and fearless personality for a kid, and her innocence in several places made me smile. Naigle does an awesome job showing the reader the “what-if” situation of taking responsibility for an unexpected child.

With that being said, I believe this novel would be categorized as a slice of life. I felt that one of the biggest themes in the book was taking responsibility for one's actions even at the expense of your dreams because those dreams have a way of changing and reshaping over time. We can all learn a little from that because life has a way of throwing curveballs when we least expect it.

A nice little story. I enjoyed the ride a lot. Looking forward to the authors' coming works!

"I'm not looking for a relationship right now" are famous last words for both Merry Anna and Adam. They spend time under the guise of neighborly friendship and fall hard. I liked Tara and Merry Anna’s boss, Krissy. This was a nice small-town romance that I enjoyed over a weekend.

While this is a clean and wholesome romance, I wouldn’t say it’s a faith-based or Christian romance. The hero mentions having many relationships. “I’ve had my share of women–not bragging, just being honest–but I’ve always done the right thing.” (referring to protection)

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions in this review are my own.

What Remains True is a sweet story set in a small town that I would love to revisit. Author Nancy Naigle sets the scene that you can just picture the town and the people. I love the first line "Merry Anna Foster loved spring for its promise of new beginnings, and this year she needed one desperately. She loved the town and decided to stay there temporarily while she figured things out. Her boss Krissy and her two neighbors Tara, and Adam become good friends, but only one of them is a handsome cowboy. She finds it easy to be friends with her neightbor Adam Lockwood, bull rider and owner of the local feedstore, who happens to be having the best year of his rodeo career because neither of them have time for a relationship. Darling 5 year old Zan comes into the picture and she couldn't be any cuter.

I recommend this delightful story for lovers of sweet contemporary romance.

Thank you to the publisher and net galley for allowing me to read an early copy. All opinions are my own.

I know that GOD has a plan for each one of us. Merry Anna and Adam might have thought differently at first.   They realized that no matter how hard they tried to be indifferent to each other; something or someone drew them closer together.

My husband and I didn't have any reason to cross paths 16 years ago. I was divorced like Merry Anna.  I had no desire to marry again.  It was not a risk I wanted any part of.  I met my husband and everything changed.  I feel so blessed that I took the chance as we are happy and so very much in love.  GOD is in control.

Merry Anna was special. She brought much joy to everyone she met.  She had a positive attitude that everything will turn out ok.   She knew GOD was there for her.

I loved the story.  I hope that there will be another book about this town and the people who live there.

I really like this author she has a way of getting to the heart and having you fall in love with some or all of the characters. It was very much the case with this book. I loved Merry Anna she had the biggest heart and she was so fierce and all about finding who she was while showing love to her new friends and neighbors. I loved Zan she was so cute and so wise beyond her years and had such a tenderhearted. I also loved Krissy and Tara everyone needs friends like them in their life. I went back and forth with Adam on moment I liked him and the the next I wanted to choke him. Y'all this book was just overall really good, it was just a really great read and I could not put it down.

Nancy has done it again! She writes faith based books about love, forgiveness and second chances. You feel like you are part the characters & the small town, Antler Creek, NC. Merry Anna, newly divorced and taking time off from family business came to Antler Creek to gas up her car. She had a good feeling about the town and decided to stay for short term. Adam is her neighbor who is a bull rider and wanted to get into the finals. The rodeo was written so well that you think you were right there. He and his parents don’t see eye to eye related to bull riding. Merry Anna and Adam got together as friends then that turned into a little more. Adam then finds out he’s the father to a 5 year old girl named Zan. It’s a must read! Netgalley provided the copy of the book and the review is my own.

What Remains True is a sweet romance that touched my heart. There is so much to love about this book -the rodeo scenes made you feel as if you are there, the gossipy, good-hearted people of Antler Creek. the innocence of little Zan, my introduction to barn quilts and did I mention Adam the hot bull rider. The exceptional aspect of the story for me was Merry Anna who decides to take a chance on a small town, love and to follow her heart and dreams. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of the book- I am thrilled to leave a review. I highly recommend this feel good book and hope there will be more stories about Antler Creek. #netgalley #whatremainstrue #nancynaigle

Nancy has done it again, have fallen in love with Antler Creek and its people, Krissy and her beautiful shop, Merry Anna, Adam and Zan and of course Tara. From the beginning you are drawn into the lives of the people, they come alive on the pages of this book and you are transportrd into the town and become a part of their story.
Community is formed from the start and you feel a part of it. I can't wait to hear what happens next or how Merry Anna ended up in Antler Creek to begin with! Thank you Nacy for yet another wonderful book to read , keep them coming.

As expected of her, COO Merry Anna Foster has been in her family’s business all her life. She is tired, overwhelmed and to make matters worse, she has recently gone through a complicated divorce.
Taking a trip with no real destination in mind, she stops in Antler Creek, NC.
Merry Anna falls in love with the town and a cute little gift shop. A small store very much different from the supply store conglomerate she daily operates. Enchanted by the town and its inhabitants, she meets one of the town’s heroes, rodeo rider, Adam Lockwood, who is a ‘come what may bachelor’ with his eyes only on the goal of winning this year’s biggest rodeo prize purse.
What happens between these two, neither of whom are looking to settle down, is serendipitous, especially when an unexpected visitor turns their lives upside down. Author, Nancy Naigle has written an uplifting story of building wonderful relationships amid unexpected challenges.
I received an ARC from the author through NetGalley and WaterBrooke Multnomah. This review is my honest opinion. #WhatRemainsTrue, #Netgalley

“What Remains True" by Nancy Naigle
This was an excellent book and I recommend it highly. It gets your attention from the start, since Merry Anna is running from something and you are not sure what. You read on and find out that most eligible cowboy in town, Adam also has his walls up too. Then there is Tara, a wonderful lady who has her issues too. This book has love, heartache and even a bit of mystery. It was an enjoyable read and really does make you want to go and try new adventures.
I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Waterbrook, and was not required to give a positive review. I am giving it a good review because I actually did enjoy this book. Very uplifting.

"What Remains True" by Nancy Naigle
LOVE & Romance served up Sweet and Clean
I sure did get invested in Merry Anna's story, and Adam's story, too! It was quite the ride with these two folks. The search for 'What will make a happy life for me tomorrow'; and, the realization that yesterday's plans for the perfect tomorrow just may need to find new plans for a happy tomorrow. I fell in love with the town of Antler Creek and the people that I met there. As with most stories you love, I really wanted more of their story. Thus, I was sad to reach the end; but glad I was there for the beginning. Happy Reading ! !
