I enjoyed this book, I don’t know what those Real Housewives were talking about, lol…
I love finding out about how people grew up, where, etc. so this was very eye opening.
I really haven’t watched anything that Garcelle has been on until RHOBH, and even at the beginning of her tenure, I was unsure of who she was/is.
I think picking this up and reading about Garcelle helped me know her a little better.
Thanks to NetGalley for the chance to read and review this title.

This book was so amazing! I'm impressed with Garcelle's ability to communicate her life in such an engaging and vulnerable manner. I would recommend this book if you're looking for a great memoir to read. I loved her role in Jamie Foxx as Fancy. Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this gem.

I originally picked up this book because growing up I idolized Garcelle. In fact she was one of the first celebrities I met at a Haitian award show (I could’ve been 8 at the time) but I was in awe because I didn’t know she was Haitian which intrigued me more! This book had so many takeaways and I learned a lot. At times I felt like she was over explaining herself and I kept saying girl who cares just tell us about your life. Overall I liked her memoir.

I loved Garcelle Beauvais from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills before I read this, but now I love Garcelle Beauvais for the woman she is. This was beautiful written. IT was honest, raw, emotional, and entertaining. I felt like I learned so much about her life and how she grew up that contributed to the woman she is today. Not only did she have inspiring stories, but she also had deeply emotional and hard stories that she shared as well. I felt for her as a woman reading many of them. She is a beautiful, independent, and strong woman who inspires so many women and now I understand why. She has lived an amazing life and I am so glad she shared a piece of it with us readers. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I am a BravoTV Fan, a Bravo-holic, a Real Housewives Aficionado, and I couldn't wait to read Garcelle's book! I love her! I also listened to the audiobook and her narration is THE BEST. I could listen to her read anything!

Garcelle's book offers great insight to her background and her climb as a Hollywood celebrity. The reality TV section of the book is rather small, which speaks volumes about the author. She is so much more than reality TV!

Really enjoyed this one!

There are so many books written by Real Housewives who've done great things in past and present, but Garcelle's book really elevates that genre for me. She built herself from the ground up, with a strong tie to family, and bumps along the way. Her honesty and tell-it-straight attitude really resonate with me, and as an avid viewer of all things Bravo, I didn't see any reason for the women of the show to have anything negative to say about this book. Garcelle is to the point, and doesn't drag anyone down for the sake of selling books. I found this to be refreshing.

Like a lot of other people, I met Garcelle on #therealhousewivesofbeverlyhills and fell in love with with her tenacity and strength. From her Haitian upbringing to her fascinating modeling career, after being discovered in Miami. She talks openly about her sons and her ex husband, their relationships and some struggles they have experienced. Garcelle is an amazing woman and I highly recommend this book!

I am a huge Garcelle fan from her time of Real Housewives, so I was excited to receive an advance copy of her memoir! I was not disappointed in the least as Garcelle is a master of authenticity and realness. I felt like she was forming such an open and honest relationship with her readers in telling us her life's story. Thank you to NetGalley and Amistad for a copy of this book for an honest review.

This woman deserves all the stars ✨!!

A huge thank you to NetGalley and Amistad for my advanced copy of Love Me as I Am.

I am not a huge nonfiction / memoir reader but this is Garcelle Beauvais. I jumped at the chance to read and review her book.

What I Loved-

✨The Audio- As sad as I am that I did not read this book in time for its publication (my apologies, Amistad) - I am so glad that I listened to the audiobook. Love Me As I Am is read by the author. Garcelle is lovely and talented and her personality really shines through in the narration. One of the major perks of Garcelle narrating her own book is that nothing is misinterpreted. Everything translates the way she intended.

✨Garcelle- The woman herself. I think she is fabulous. This book proved her to be beautiful inside and out. I chose to read this book mainly because I wanted a glimpse into Garcelle's life outside of the housewives franchise. I know she had been a model prior and an actress but she wasn't really on my radar until a couple of years ago. Plus- when it comes to the housewives : you only really see what the cameras / production allows you to. It was a privilege to read this book and to be able to see more of Garcelle's life. Thank you Garcelle.

✨ The Writing- This memoir was very easy to follow. The pacing was excellent. Garcelle touched upon a variety of topics and talking points without staying on one specific one too long. The book flowed nicely.

✨ The Entertainment Factor- I was engaged from beginning to end. This memoir was insightful and delightful.

Overall- Highly recommend.

✨Side Note- I have no idea why Erika Jane would throw this book in the garbage. Garcelle didn't have a single unkind word to say about anyone. Maybe its her constant need to make everything about herself or her want for attention. Or maybe she's illiterate? If you can't read Erika just say that. We're dealing with the same person who said - I don't own a debit card 😂 its giving very much Donald Trump saying he doesn't know what a burner phone is....
That is all. Sorry for that tangent. Had to get that out of my system =)

I’m a fan of the RHOBH so I just had to read Garcelle’s book! She’s one of my favorites on the show.

I really enjoyed reading about her childhood and introduction into Hollywood. I knew she was a strong woman from what I’ve seen of her on reality tv, but this book backed up every thought I’ve had about her. If you like any of her work in tv or movies, I would definitely recommend this book. She has an interesting upbringing from Haiti to her move to the US. And she’s been through a lot in her life with relationships and her parents. I’m happy Garcelle decided to share herself with the world!

I was so excited when Garcelle announced she would be writing a book. I am a huge fan of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and thought she was an excellent addition to the cast, speaking her mind without being messy and I hoped this book would be the same. I enjoyed learning about Garcelle's past and her youth in Haiti, but after that, I found the book to be a bit name-droppy and self-congratulatory, which is not really my style. I especially found the last chapter to be a bit cringe-y. Garcelle has accomplished a lot in her life when the odds were definitely stacked against her and I would have loved to hear more about that than how great she was because of her success now.

Garcelle is one of my favorite ladies from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and I found this book super interesting. It gave us a lot of insight into Garcelle’s past and how she came to be where she is today. Her road was not easy but she made something of herself.

I love Garcelle! I read a lot of celebrity memoirs and the deal is usually industry tea with a side of childhood trauma. This book definitely contains a bit of both, but what I found most refreshing and quenching of all was how much of Ms Beauvais' voice came through and how thoroughly I enjoyed her sarcasm, wit and wisdom. This book was equal parts memoir and self-help / inspirational story. Thank you Netgalley & Amistad for the digital ARC--I loved it!

I always like reading peoples memoirs I enjoy hearing their stories of their life and their experiences. I really only knew of Garcelle from BHHW so I wished there had been more about her experiences behind the scenes. However her stories about bill cosby and O.J. Were interesting. From this book I learned that Garcelle is a women creating her own life and not relying on others.

As a fan of many of Garcelle's work in movies and tv, I couldn't wait to hear about her background. I never believe it's my place to judge anyone's memoir. I love how to she weaved in her experiences as a child and showed how they both affected and made her grow as an adult. The stories and antidotes were interesting, funny, and at times heartbreaking. I appreciate that Garcelle let us into her world a little bit seeing as she is a private person, even though she is on a reality show now. I look forward to seeing her new projects since she has so many different ideas.

Thanks to Netgalley and Amistad for this ARC in exchange for my review.

Thank you #Netgalley for the advanced copy.

As an avid watcher of The Real Housewives franchise, I was excited to get an early copy of this anticipated memoir. I had no idea the history of what Garcelle has gone through as we only see a glimpse into her life on the show. I was surprised with how much she shared and how raw she was explaining certain life situations. I think it was a casual read as if you were sitting around a table with a glass of wine chatting.
