My daughter and I read this book together, and we loved it. It is all about the game Animal Crossing, and it is a fun guide to the game and the history of the game. The book has lots of useful information, as well as great photos. There are lots of hints and tricks on how to play the game, which will help my daughter, as she plays the game on her Nintendo switch.

Very colorful guide with pictures to help new Animal Crossing players get the hang of being a good villager. Great book for the adults helping younger kids too. This is a book that I would definitely borrow from the library since it's kind of a one and done type of book.

I was so excited when I was chosen to review this book because both my daughter and I love the game Animal Crossing. This book breaks down the game as if you've never played it before and taught us some new tricks that we didn't know. If you just got the game or you've been interested in learning more about it, then I highly suggest this book.

Mari Bolte includes current events that showcase the games global impact during the pandemic. The book is full of fun facts. I'd recommend the book for a Unit Study for school, as well as, a gift for the gamer in your life.

An informative, easy-to-read book perfect for any kid (or even adult!) who loves Animal Crossing. Readers learn the history of the game's creation, a brief biography of its creator, the evolution of the game across different gaming systems, and all of the fun things available to players. Additionally, reflections on the game's ability to connect people especially during the pandemic of 2020 adds an emotional touch to this nonfiction book. Highly recommend for libraries everywhere.

I had never played Animal Crossing growing up . my cousins and most of my friends had though and anytime they would talk about it I would always just go right over my head . When the pocket Camp app came out I finally got to understand it a little bit more but there was still a lot I missed, I only just recently was able to play New Horizons, and because of all that I enjoyed getting to read this because it let me know a little bit more and understand the context behind a lot of the things I'd heard growing up . it was interesting to see and read about the different versions of Animal Crossing as well as the ethos behind it. i did pick up most of the content from playing New Horizons but it was a nice quick read.

A very fun read for those who love the game.

I've been playing AC:NH for the last month so this was delightful for me, who's a newbie to the world of this game! I read this guide book in a matter of minutes and had a great time.

I've been a fan of nintendo and played almost every game released from them for the past 25 years, so I'm quite familiar with the company and the games (including animal crossing!). I think this is an informative timeline of animal crossing, but didn't feel like a book. This to me feels like an article you could find online (albeit a very well done and extensive one). Additionally, as someone who is already a decent fan of nintendo, there wasn't much in here I didn't already kind of know-- and this book's demographic is probably people already somewhat fans of nintendo/animal crossing. It's extensive and well done, but more of a composite list of articles you could already find online.

Very cute and really great for anyone that loves playing around with the Nintendo. Animal crossing is super popular and very much so world wide famous so it’s thoughtful to see all of this go down in a book format. It was great!

Pros: This book is a delightful introduction to Animal Crossing. I have only played New Horizons, so it was interesting to learn about previous versions. My favorite thing about this book is that it points out how the game is about friendship and how it became a respite during the pandemic for so many. It’s a game that appeals to all ages and is completely appropriate for children, as is this book.

Cons: I assumed there would be more specifics on game play, but I understand this book is an overview.

This was a very fun and educational read. I had no idea Animal Crossing had been in our lives prior to the Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. It was fun to see how the game came about, the idea behind it is very kind and it makes you love the game even more and possibly introduce the game to more people. When my child saw the book, they dropped everything to sit and listen. There is so much I had no idea about, and Mari Bolte does a very detailed job in all things Animal Crossing, it was a joy to read this book.

This is a great book that will definitely increase engagement in the classroom! Using books based on video games that are already popular makes students excited for reading. I can already bet that this will be a book many students will want to read so they can learn more about one of their favorite video games!

This is a fun book with some background information on Animal Crossing in general. However, with the big 2.0 update for Animal Crossing New Horizons I feel like it will be less relevant very soon. The book does have some nice tips but it doesn't have anything that you cannot google.
