Thanks to NetGalley, Forever(Grand Central) Publishing, and Alison Bliss for the e-ARC preview of the book in exchange for a review. I knew the second I read the description of this book that I would probably enjoy it. This is just the preview but it pulled me right in. Alison Bliss has such a descriptive manner when writing. I could see the gym, Preslee, and Adam.
I am running out to buy the whole book. I fell in love with the MCs. I feel Preslee with being overweight and needing to lose for health reasons. I am also a klutz 😊 Preslee has good reason to be down on herself after the gym incident, but she keeps going at things with a good attitude. Adam is such a positive force to be around and non-judgemental. I know there is so much more to their story and I cannot wait to read the rest!

Alison did a heck of a job creating a relatable character. Preslee was SO RELATABLE. Even with a third person point of view, I could relate to her easily. I have a feeling that this will be another win for the curvy community, and as a plus sized goddess, I'm super happy to see the representation.

Second hand embarrassment out of the way, (because geez, I thought I was accident prone LOL), this was a really cute preview. Like, I'm really excited to read the rest of the book!

Very cute couple of chapters, wish I was able to read the whole book. Loved the main character Preslee! Will have to read the others as well!

This was SO CUTE, I got all the feels from this preview. Swoons from Adam's thoughts about Preslee, annoyance at Preslee's thoughts about herself (but I can understand how this character is written 100%), adoration that Preslee made herself go into & sign up for the gym on pure stubbornness and grit alone, and how she pushed thru the bullying by the two rude guys? Loved it. I am running to purchase this because I NEED TO KNOW MORE.
The only reason it isn't a 5 star preview review is because I found myself bored with the part about how into the delivery guy she is.... I want more Preslee & Adam sexual tension! And for him to show her not to be ashamed about her body, like I said, going to purchase 😁

I can definitely relate to the main character feeling uncomfortable in her body and wanting to better herself but feeling out of place in a gym. I also understand how Adam feels with parental pressure. I liked how the introduction to his character came with conversational context, not explicitly stated. The relatability of the characters helps me understand and like them more. I like that there was almost a third point of view of the interaction, when we read about the livestream. The hair sniffing moment made me laugh, especially seeing the difference in each character's reaction to it. I appreciate that her motivation for exercising is mainly for health, not simply losing weight (because those two things are not mutual!). I thought the way he got her to agree after the initial decline was clever.

I enjoyed the conversational tone of the narration, but at times the sentences feel choppy. At times, it feels like there is too much detail on things that may not be very relevant, e.g. the vintage Rolex video. There are quite a few moments where the main character comes off as a bit negative (e.g. the hostility to Adam not knowing why he was visiting her). I understand that is often true in real life, people are dealing with a lot at once, but it feels like a lot in just the preview. Perhaps the state of her mental health could slowly be delved into later on in the book, rather than all at once. One thing that didn't sit quite right with me was the bet, and him lying to her about it when she specifically questioned if he had ulterior motives. I can imagine she would be quite hurt if she finds out the truth. When they discuss weight, I wish Adam would also mention that weight isn't indicative of health. It was briefly mentioned in the narration, but I feel it would be important for the characters to verbally discuss this.

Thank you to Forever, Grand Central Publishing and NetGalley for this Extended Preview of Out of the Blue by Alison Bliss in exchange for my honest feedback.

Preslee joins the local gym in town after a slight scare from her last doctor's visit. After an embarrassing vlog of her working out goes viral, Preslee vows to quit the gym and figure her health out another way. Adam, the gym owner, offers to be her personal trainer, but has an ulterior motive with assisting. The writing is done well, and the dual perspectives make the witty banter much more enjoyable.

Without giving too much away, my biggest con is the betting trope. That is my least favorite trope and a little cringy/always causes trouble. However, this sample left us on a quite a cliffhanger so I definitely will be finishing this book!

While I enjoyed the brewing chemistry between the two main characters, this preview just didn’t grab my attention. I am also not fond of the betting trope, as it always seems hurtful to someone and just doesn’t feel realistic. I liked the voice of Preslee’s character though, so this book will still go on my maybe shelf!

This preview was very good. I look forward to reading the rest of the book! Additionally, I love the cover! The easiest way to win me over is to put a cute dog on the cover!

Not quite sure this would hold up anymore. But maybe it gets interesting later? Don’t think I’ll continue though.

I loved this preview so much that I couldn’t put it down and I can’t wait to read the rest of Preslee’s story when it comes out. This preview is for the latest book in the Perfect Fit series by Alison Bliss. Alison Bliss has delivered another winner based on this preview. This story is about a curvy woman who needs to loose some wait for health reasons and so she decides to join a gym and let’s just say that the gym and her start off on the wrong foot. The poor girl is so accident prone that she doesn’t even make it inside before she has a mishap and is in need of a bandage. I can’t wait to find out what happens next for Preslee and Adam. If you haven’t read any of this series before, I highly recommend that you start with book one, Size Matters. Perfect Fit is my favorite romantic comedy series and I hope that there is more to come. Out of the Blue is easily one of the best books that I have ever read in my entire life. I loved how well written and relatable Preslee’s character was, she actually reminded me a little bit of myself.

This is a funny book about a woman having a hard time. She's been told she needs to lose weight and has a hard time feeling like she belongs at a gym.

After learning that she is pre-diabetic, Presley joins a gym to try and improve her health and finds herself falling for her personal trainer.

This was a fun rom com and I love a curvy heroine. The author perfectly captured the intimidation of walking into a gym and feeling like you don't belong there because you don't know how to use the equipment or no one else looks like you. I loved our hero Adam who is trying to build a supportive workout environment and strives to help Presley find her confidence and recognize her own strength.

Presley felt very relatable as we all have ups and downs on our wellness journeys. I loved the chemistry and banter between her and Adam and just wish we got to see more of it play out. It's a heartwarming story with lots of charm and I recommend for fans of One to Watch. I especially enjoyed the audio and liked hearing the altering narration between Adam and Presley.

PS: I didn't realize this is the fourth in a series and reads fine as a standalone.

This book follows Preslee and Adam. Preslee is told by her doctor that she's pre-diabetic and that she should take some steps to lead a more healthier lifestyle. So she goes to the gym, despite never working out in her life. She faces a lot of anxiety and ends up vlogging her struggling at the gym. Adam, the gym owner, "saves" her from have an accident and shows up in the vlog. The vlog goes viral. Adam sees this as a chance to get more customers, so he makes a deal with Preslee that he'll train her and she'll bring more attention to the gym. Preslee says yes so that she can impress her crush, Josh--who also knows Adam. And that's where the extended preview ends.

I think the concept of this book is really cute. Knowing that the author was at one point in her life overweight, you can tell how much she see herself in Preslee. Preslee faces a lot of anxiety entering the gym because she's afraid that people will stare, that she'll look like a fool, etc. I also like the conversations between Adam and Preslee as they seem very natural and not forced.

My two minor critiques are: 1) how fast the vlog went viral (I mean, it's a small town and Preslee is vlogging about antiques. I don't know how popular antiques are, but is that viral-worthy? I don't know.), and 2) the emphasis on Adam sniffing Preslee's hair (I think it's a little weird to sniff someone's hair, especially if you just barely met them).

But overall, I'll probably pick up this book when it's fully released and see how much I like it. For now, I'm excited to read the rest!

I have to say I totally identified with how uncomfortable Preslee is when she joins a new gym on her weight loss initiative. Gyms can be so intimidating for anyone with little experience and the author did a great job with this portrayal. I’m glad I got a chance to read the preview, but I was hoping I’d like it more than I did. The story feels a bit predictable and I wasn’t very drawn to the characters.

[PREVIEW read]
This was off to a good start!! I absolutely LOVE fake dating trope so requesting to read this was a no-brainer. The characters are so far likeable and I seriously can’t wait to continue this witty story and see how it all unfolds!
