The book was ok. Interesting, however, it was predictable. If you are a Danielle .Steele fan, you will probably enjoy the book.

Another beautiful book written by DS. A very thought provoking book, especially timely with events such as these. Veronique is such a strong character, learning to live again after tragedy strikes. This could possibly be one of my favorite books by this author. Thanks for the opportunity to read the ARC.

Veronique is one of the worlds top models. Her career ends after she is severely injured in a terrorist bombing. This book follows her journey after the bombing, her recovery and search for a new meaning in life. This was an enjoyable fast easy ready with a predictable ending. As usual with Steel’s books you can count on being entertained. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

This book was truly wonderful! I loved how Ms. Steel approached the many angles and perceptions of physical beauty. I loved how Veronique (the most beautiful, popular, and most sought out model pretty much in the world) turned out to have a level of humble humility (even though she fell in with the partying, and dating someone she knew was only into her looks and what they could gain from being with her). I loved her relationship with her mother, her level of level headedness, and her inner beauty. I loved how she knew what she wanted, and realized the outer beauty was fleeting. She just had no idea how fleeting it would be.

Veronique faced a very tough journey as she faced great loneliness and separation of everyone and everything she knew. As many of us know, it is when we face our greatest storms in life that we discover who is real in our lives. We are quickly forced to realize who are true friends are. Veronique lost all of the family she ever knew, and thru her strength and determination (and sheer will) she found a way to build a new family. She built a tremendous purpose filled life by simply looking outside of her own losses and pain.

This is a story that I will remember for a very long time. I felt myself pulled into the pages as soon as all of the events started unfolding. To be honest, prior to the kickoff of the events leading to the title of this book, I struggled with whether I really wanted his to be the next book I read. Then it all began, and I was officially sucked in!!! I am so very glad I held out!

I want to thank Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for choosing me to have the privilege of reading this book in exchange for an honest review! It was an honor!

Loved the book! When I first started I had a hard time getting into it, but by chapter 3,I couldn’t put it down. I loved the characters in the book. I loved how she wrote about the characters and how the one character survives an attack. How she overcame . I feel like if she overcame that, then we can overcome our things. I know it was only fiction, but made me realize some things. I would recommend this to everyone.

Beautiful is a book that touched my heart and took me into the life a Veronique Vincent. She is a world-famous model who had a life filled with everything she had ever hoped for.
She had that life change in a split second when after a terrorist attack happened at the airport when she was there with her mother and boyfriend.
This tiny moment in her life changed everything she had and how she looked at life.
She had so much time to look at what was important to her and why. Her life is filled with so much even with the loss of both her mother and boyfriend in the bombing.
This was a book that will fill you with so much and make you think about what is really important in our lives.
Thank you NetGalley, Danielle Steel and Random House Publishing Group for the ARC of Beautiful. This is my personal review.

Veronique is one of the worlds top models. She has lived her life busy with various fashion weeks and photo shoots since she was 16 and she is well known the world over. In an instant an act of violence changes her entire world and who she is. This was a bit different to me than the typical Danielle Steel novel and it was an enjoyable change. Less focus on a woman who has been wronged by her husband and stumbles into a new romance and more about a woman who has to reinvent herself and realize that true beauty comes from within. Add a little family secret to the mix and you have a great read! I enjoyed this book and the reminder that one’s value does not only lie in their job or on the surface. Thanks to #randomhousepublishing and #ballentine for this ARC and the opportunity to give a review. #netgalley #daniellesteel #beautiful #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookreview #bookrecommendations #readersofinstagram #reader #booksaremylife

Loved reading the engaging and amazing story by the best selling author, Danielle Steel. Veronique Vincent, a well known and most sought after model, is in the explosion at the airport in Brussels with her mother. When the explosion goes off, it kills her mother, a man Veronique was dating, and leaves Veronique with half of her face disfigured, shrapnel fragments all over her body. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and riveting story of a young woman's struggle.

This is my 43rd book by Danielle Steel and as always, I always look forward to her new books . A supermodel’s whole world comes crashing down when a tourist attack happens right where her mother, her bf and she is. She barely survives this whole ordeal with lots of surgeries to make her whole again. Will she recover 100%? Heartbreaking what Veronique went through! I devoured this book in a day and really enjoyed it! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this early release in exchange for my honest review.

Beautiful by Danielle Steel is a story that really pulled on my heart strings. I found myself tearing up a lot while reading because I kept imagining what if my daughter went through what Veronica was going through? I would always want someone I loved to see herself as beautiful no matter what unfortunate circumstances were to happen to them. It’s a book that really makes you think about your own life and how you view yourself if something like what happened to Veronica were to happen to you.

Veronica is a beautiful, young supermodel whose entire career and life is centered around her gorgeous physical beauty. After a tragic incident changes how she looks on the outside, she is forced to take a good look at her life and the love that surrounds her to truly find meaning and acceptance that true beauty is not what we see on the outside, but to find all the beauty that exists on the inside.

Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book before the publication date. I am always in awe of the uniqueness and freshness of Danielle Steel’s books and it’s a privilege to read them always.

By Danielle Steel
Release Date 04/19/2022

I’ve been a long-time fan of Mrs. Steele since the ’90s. She has written 190 books. YES, say that to yourself again 190. Her first book was released in 1973, and to this day she’s releasing 2-5 books each year. I’d love to have that many stories locked up in my brain , what an admirable woman.

Veronique Vincent is a stunning model. She started at 18, and for the past, years she has been the star of every show at fashion week. She’s a household name and recognized everywhere she goes. She’s planned a much-needed weekend with her mother, and her somewhat BF Cyril is taking them to the airport one morning to head out. A few mins after arriving, three terrorist bombs go off just feet from them, instantly killing her friend Cyril and her mother. She’s put in a medical coma and stays that way for some time. Once she’s awakened, she’s alone in a hospital. Half her face is the same on one side, and the other isn’t. It’s almost like the famous Phantom of the Opera; she suffered the same demise. A deformity, if you will to one side. Once she is well enough, her mother's Law partner brings the will to her, and much to surprise, her mothers left quite an estate on top of a life changing secret.
But that doesn’t bring her mother back.
Follow Veroniques story on how she deals with life after the bombing and how she handles it all.

Danielle Steel does it again with a heart-warming story that leaves you longing for more of her writing. I have no idea how this renowned author keeps coming up with stories that pull at your heart-strings. They all leave you longing for more from her too. I don't think I will ever tire of reading Danielle Steel books.

Veronique Vincent is a sought after super-star model that has everything going for her. Veronique and her mother have a great relationship and her father has never been in the picture for her. Veronique has a boyfriend that is care-free and loves living life. Veronique has been super busy and has finally found some time to escape with her mom for a quick vacation. Veronique's boyfriend is going to fly out with them and then head on to his final destination and let her and her mom go on their vacation.

Veronique has no idea that her life is about to change and before they can even take off for their vacation. An explosion at Zaventem Airport in Brussels rocks their world. Veronique is thrown into a place that she doesn't recognize when she come to. She calls for her mom and boyfriend but doesn't get an answer. Veronique is taken to the hospital and immediately has to have some surgeries. When she comes to she learns that her mom and boyfriend perished in the blast. Now Veronique doesn't have anyone that can help her. She feels like she is on her own in a big new world that she is so uncertain with now!

Veronique quickly learns that her way of life is going to change because her face which had made her so sought after has been very badly injured. There is no way anyone is going to want her to be a model for them now. Veronique spends a lot of time in the hospital and has multiple surgeries. Veronique still has to face the daunting task of what to do with her mother's remains and all of her stuff she left for Veronique to deal with. She dreads going back to the apartment alone and seeing all of her mother's things.

When Veronique has one of her friends that is a photographer call her and ask to have dinner with her, she hides behind a mask and doesn't want him to see her face. When he asks her what is really wrong and for her to take the mask off, he is shocked to see what has happened to her. No one really heard why Veronique had been out of the modeling business for several months. He gives Veronique the name of a plastic surgeon in the states that he has seen his work and has been very impressed by it. Veronique is not wanting to see anymore doctors but thinks that she maybe should give him a chance.

Veronique has a very successful surgery over Christmas so that she doesn't have to deal with the first Christmas by herself without her mom and boyfriend. She figures why not have the surgery then so she doesn't have to think about it all. Not only does Veronique meet some great plastic surgeons, but makes a great friend too. Veronique is offered an opportunity that will make her shine and be right up her ally now and she takes it and runs with it. You will so enjoy seeing where this journey takes Veronique in this story. The plot and story line is great in this one. I highly recommend this book for a great feel good read!

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book and all opinions are my own. Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book.

I was surprised by the book, Beautiful, by Danielle Steel. I have read many of her romance stories, and love her historical fictions novels. This book was entirely different from those genre's. This story makes a person aware of the importance of being beautiful on your inside rather than your physical looks. A famous model learns from a deadly event how a life can change in a moments time- your love for someone, and your career. The premise of this book makes you realize that your looks will change either due to an injury or normal age changes. .However, the emotional growth of a person, accomplishments, and intimacy with their family and friends are so much more important in evaluating your life than your looks. I would like to thank Netgalley for allowing me to read Beautiful before its publication date.
