I didn't care for this witch cozy because I didn't care for the characters and it moved too slowly for me
Thank you netgalley and the publisher for this arc

Book two in the series Witch Trail. Book two was just as good as book one. Very likeable is how I'd describe the main character, Violet. She's caring and smart. The supporting characters are interesting and likeable as well. Violet is beginning to learn more about her powers, while continuing to run her Crystal shop - which is interesting as well. The mystery is well thought out. I read the author's other series, A Cat Cafe Mystery, and wondered if this series would be as good. It is. There is a light splash of romance but mostly Violet stands on her own as a smart, nice, and loyal character that you'd like to have as a friend in real life. I'm looking forward to the next in the series. I highly recommend this book/series.

Violet Mooney, owner of Full Moon crystal shop and new witch, balances her magical life with her mortal one as she deals with two crimes, one on each side of her life.

Keeping the two parts of her life separate proves challenging as she deals with the ordinary death of a customer, Nicole St. James. At the same time, the Magickal Council investigates who cast an extreme spell on reporter Mazzy Diamond in Violet’s store. So naturally, with friends in both parts of her life, Violet begins looking for answers.

Cate Conte’s spellbinding storytelling skills continue to enchant readers with just the right amount of magick and mystery. Violet’s mother and half-sister help her develop her witchy powers. Her friend Sydney and mentor, Josie, who work at Full Moon, keep Vi grounded in the mortal world. Ms. Conte creates an engaging cast of characters that make North Harbor, Connecticut, a fascinating place to visit. And Violet’s two cats, Monty, not used to the magic, and Xander, who exhibits magical touches, add personality. Ms. Conte hits just the proper balance between Violet’s two worlds which makes this an entertaining story to follow.

Loved reading this book and series. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. If you haven't read this book yet I highly recommend doing so.

Violet Mooney has discovered she is a witch. Her father and grandmother separated her from her mother and the rest of her witch family when she was quite young and she was raised in the human world. Violet owns a crystal shop called The Full Moon. When one of her customers, Nicole St. James, disappears Violet is determined to solve the mystery of her disappearance. I really enjoyed Violet's persistence about learning what happened to Nicole. Also it was fun reading about Violet starting to learn how to use her magic. In this second book in The Full Moon Mystery series, Witch Trial, author Cate Conte clears up the Nicole St. James mystery and provides more clues in the overall arc of the mystery of the genieing of Mazzy. I am really looking forward to the next book in the series.

Violet Mooney is starting to come into her powers as a witch. With her Mother and sister also in her life now, she’s got a great support system, but she still isn’t sure who all she can trust in the new world she has been introduced into. Being on the magical council, Violet finds out that she is being investigated in relation to a magical geneing that took place in her store, Full Moon crystal shop, even though it occurred before Vi knew about her powers. But when a customer who came to Vi for help turns up dead, she really needs to put her powers to good use to find out who has it in for not only her, but also for her customer.

The second book in the series did not disappoint! Although I kinda hate cliffhangers and prefer each book to be able to be read as a standalone. But that’s just me…the story itself is great and I will be looking for the next entry to find out what happens with Vi and her Magical life.

This is fun new series, this is not the first book but it does build on what happened in the first one. I am familiar with paranormal cozy mysteries but this one took me a bit to get into the swing of things. There are many moving parts that I had to go back to read some parts over again. It ended with a bit of a cliffhanger continuation so I will have to look for the next book.

I just loved reading Witch Trial.

In this book, we find Violet not only learning spells but also being investigated by the Magickal Council which is a big deal. Then to make matters worse one of her regular customers turns up dead.

Violet has her hands full and this book sure keeps us guessing until the very end. A great read!

I've become attached to Violet in this quirky series by Cate Conte.
Discovering she's a witch is one thing, but finding out her boyfriend may not be who he says he is, makes her mad.
Finding out the truth is all she wants.
I'm looking forward to reading more in this series.

A good second in the series. Violet learns more of her family, witch politics and who to trust and not trust, including her boyfriend Todd. While it can be read alone I would recommend reading the first to understand more of why she is clueless about her family history. Fun series and cozy mystery.

I love cozy mysteries, and this one was perfect for the Halloween season. I didn't read the first book in the series, but I had no problems following this book. It was fun to sleuth along with the characters on them mystery, but it seemed to take a backseat at times to Violet's family history. However, it was a fun book overall, and I'm likely to check out the rest of the series.

I've become a huge fan of the cozy mystery genre due to books like this. You can read this as an escape from the everyday in a weekend. A really good mystery. Maybe not my ultimate favorite but definitely worth a read

This was a fun second installment in this series. I loved the world building and the small town vibes mixed with witchcraft. Violet has to navigate the worlds of magic and mundane, and it is fun to be along for the ride. I'll definitely be looking forward to the third book!
