I found this book very interesting. I had never read anything by someone who slowly went nearly blind, and it was amazing to follow her journey as she worked through the emotions caused by being diagnosed with an incurable condition and learning to live with it. I liked the times she talked about giving everything to God and accepting what He sent her way, but there were other times that she talked about spiritual experiences that didn’t quite set right with me. Also, at one point she mentioned that she decided it was all right to get a divorce because she “deserved to be happy.” That’s not right according to the way I read the Bible. So, although it is a wonderful account of a woman learning to live with and accept a disability, I can’t wholeheartedly recommend this one.

I received a review copy of this book from NetGalley, and these are my honest thoughts about it.

The book is an interesting journey of someone with RP. There was at least one time I had to overcome anger with how people at the author’s class reunion treated her. My hubby has RP and this is why I chose the title to read.
