Another amazing collection of stories from rebel girls. We all know about Greta and her mission but it was nice to learn about other activists. I would most definitely purchase this to add to our collection.

This book was informative and captured my attention - I loved learning about these women and what differences they have made. The illustrations were lovely and it was nice to see the names of the artists on every page. And the information came in nice digestable chunks.

Thanks to the publisher for an eBook copy!

This was a great book that told the stories of 25 women from around the world working in different ways to benefit the climate. The stories were clearly written and engaging, and I loved the inclusion of birthdates and countries in the descriptions. I adored the illustrations and I also really liked how the women chosen were from different and diverse areas of the world, but also worked in different ways to address the climate crisis. This is a great children's book that introduces environmental issues and those role models working at the forefront of social and environmental change.

Rebel Girls Climate Warriors is a children's picture book that contains biographies of 25 climate warriors or girls and women fighting against climate change. The book contains full-color illustrations as well as 1-2 page informational text excerpts. I would guess that the grade-level that this book targets would be between 5th-6th grade.

Overall, this book has a very important message. It's so important to tell young girls about all of the possibilities open to them and to encourage them to pursue their dreams. Often, when books include biographies of "heroes" or "famous people," they're almost always all men. The Rebel Girls series of books is incredible, because they show young girls everywhere they can follow their dreams and be successful. If you're intrigued by the description, I highly recommend that you check out this book when it comes out in March!

I love this new addition to the Rebel Girls series. My educational background is in environmental science and I work on multi-benefit water resource project planning, so I appreciate the focus on environmental champions in this edition. Several of my heroes are featured, which is great, but I especially loved reading about women and even young girls that I’d never even heard of before. I felt renewed and inspired by their stories of advocacy and bravery in the face of big problems, like climate change. Very happy to recommend this as inspiration for girls and, more broadly, anyone who is concerned with the state of our planet and is looking for ways to make a difference.

[I will share this to my Instagram page in March 2022]

This book is another one of the Rebel book series that i have read and reviewed. As usual, this series so far does not disappoint me as the featured characters are just as 'fierce' and 'rebellious' as ever in fighting and promoting for the causes they strongly believed in and in bringing changes in society with their intelligent and bold ideas. Brava and kudos to them!.

My previous series was showcasing those 'rebellious' women athletes whilst this one is featuring 'rebellious' women in environmental protection and conservation, another causes that i strongly feel about and am interested in.

I am glad to find a number of diverse figures in this series which mostly are new and unfamiliar to me which is a good thing. However, they are a few familiar ones such as Greta Thunberg, Wangari Mathai, Rachel Carson and of course Margaret Atwood!.

I loved the activities suggestions at the back of the book and i feel inspired to be just as 'rebellious' and as bold as these remarkable women are someday by making the environment a better place by coming up with my own ideas of protecting the earth, especially with my bias which is the ocean.

So in short, this is a book i would recommend to anyone who cares and loves the earth and wants to protects it and making it a better place. Someone who is not afraid to stand up to fight and promote for causes they strongly believed in. Someone who is not afraid to be different and standout against the mainstream. Because she is 'Rebellious'.

Another lovely little book pack full with interesting woman! Lovely art work as always and easy to read writing. I’m very happy with the addition of the QR code in some of the culminate warriors, and also the app where you can read a little more about all of these amazing woman and more.
My only complain is that Wangari Maathai her own little book, (from the Rebel Girls series of stand alone books) I think also I’ve seen Greta Thumberg inside another compilation so I think other people could’ve taken those spaces.
I was also gladly surprised that many of the chosen climate warriors are from around the world and not as American centric as it’s often the case, so thumbs up for the diversity in that respect.
I love the series and I’m very interested in reading more and more stories.
Though I understand the need to repeat some people I’d like to see more new names.
The art work is also very nicely blended with each other and with the texts and quotes.
Highly recommend

Very inspiring collection of such a broad range of women who have tackled eco issues. I loved the STEM aspect and as always it’s filled with beautiful illustrations and fun activities. Without doubt a copy of this will be making its way on to my little girls bookcase when she’s a little older.

Rebel Girls was going to be good. The women mentioned are amazing and I as an adult didn't know about most of them and their work. Fantastic art as well and I would gift this to any child, with my eyes closed.

'Rebel Girls: Climate Warriors' discusses people, specifically women, who have made a difference in the fight against climate change. This book tells you about these people, giving you some beautiful illustrations alongside the description, as well as some fun activities (for you or your children) to do.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The illustrations were beautiful and I liked how for each person they focused on, they matched their background to the illustrations. Which doesn't seem like a lot, but it really helped emphasised who the person is, their story, and how they helped fight climate change.

I would personally give this book either as a gift to my younger cousins or to my future nieces and nephews. If used within a classroom setting, I, like a lot of teachers, wouldn't waste money on buying this book, and would instead make a PowerPoint or create a research activity for the pupils to do instead, which may even be more productive in an educational setting. Due to the difference in the stories this book I would use for ages between 4-12.

Personally, I liked how a lot of the individual stories were from activists who started their journeys when they were children, which could inspire pupils to start their own environmentalist ideas as they now know if other children can do it, why can't they?

I love the fact that 'Rebel Girls' centres around women supporting women to save our environment. That fact the the majority of the illustrators are young women from ethnically diverse backgrounds is something that I'd like to see a lot more of.

Thank you to netgallery for sending me this book, it was a real eye-opener 💚

This book was a great piece of educational literature about girls and women who strive to help the environment. I love that there are women from all over the world and that were or are involved in many different types of environmental activism. It also has beautiful illustrations.

At the end, there are great pieces for children. There is a spot for them to add their own story, reinforcing the idea that everyone can help save the planet. It also has tips on how to live a more green life!

My daughter and I really enjoyed this book. We found the women inspirational and the format of the book pleasing. The illustrations are beautiful and help to show how powerful the women are.

An inspiring book with portraits of women from now and from the past who dedicated their lives for a better planet. The short stories and colorful illustrations are great together. Like the other Rebel books this book is easy to read, but the short stories are powerful and inspiring.

Global warming and climate change are a big theme in 21st century. Therefore I think this book is an essential read to any young girl to be aware how we can change our behaviour towards to nature to achieve improvement of the climate.

This book is a dedication to all women who are trying to make this world better by improving cities structures, protecting the water people drink and the same water which nourishes animals and plants, changing quality of plastic bags, to have clean air in cities, etc.

The book consents a story about famous Greta Thunberg but my favourite story is about Esohe Ozigbo. Esohe is a climate activist who uses a litter found on the beach, in the ocean or even on the streets of Lagos, Nigeria to create tops, skirts, dresses or even earrings and necklaces.

I would recommend this book to any girl or woman without an age limitation because messages in stories written in this book are so important that we should be aware of them. We should educate ourselves about them, keep reminding them and share them with people we are surrounded by.

A common theme for Rebel Girls books are illustrations with vivid colour scheme which I absolutely adored.

With thanks to NetGalley and especially to Rebel Girls for an electronic ARC in return for an honest review.

This was a great illustrated children's book! I've already read one of the others in this series, so when I saw this one on here centering on climate advocacy, I immediately decided to read it since that's an issue that I really hold close. Like the other one, the art is super pretty and unique, and the stories are just as engaging and inspiring. I especially appreciated how they included so many different types of climate activists and advocates, beyond only, say, scientists – not to say that scientists are not central to the climate fight, because they obviously are, and this book totally includes stories of a lot of awesome climate scientists, but I just think it was really cool for them to highlight all sorts of different ways of contributing to the united cause of raising awareness of climate destruction and change. The writing is definitely approachable for younger children, and there are also some cute actionable projects at the end too. I'd definitely get this as a gift for kids in the target age range!

My daughter has been a big fan of the Rebel Girls series so I was excited to review this one early. This collection covers multiple women and girls who are on the forefront of climate change. There are so many women and girls in this book that I had never heard of but was happy that my daughter had. I feel like the range of ages will appeal to girls who will be inspired to make big impacts regardless of their age. The range of nationalities is also excellent - readers will be reminded that climate change is a global problem and needs lots of help to combat it. I can see this resource being helpful for teachers, scout leaders, and more. It is written towards a younger audience, thus some of the fairy tale intros and the word choices for the stories presented. I received an Advance Review Copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Thank you, Rebel Girls Inc., for the advance reading copy.

This book is so damn important for me. I am someone who roots for anything that would make the environment a better place; anything that improves the suffering natural greens environment.

Let's learn what we can do the most or the least in this drive. No matter how old or how young we are, let's know more and be aware about what these amazing women and girls are doing for this.

Such an amazing, inspirational collection.

And yes, I am obsessed with the Rebel Girls series. As always!

Another great volume in the Rebel Girls series - this one focuses on Climate Warriors, with brief but engaging profiles of 25 amazing women and girls doing all they can to help protect Mother Earth. The people profiled range from the familiar (Greta Thunberg, Margaret Atwood, etc) to the less well-known (Wangari Maathai, Isatou Ceesay, etc) but each one provides an inspiring tale.
