A million years ago, it feels like, I received the second volume of this series as a review copy, and now I'm trying to play catch-up. I am not a big Dark Crystal fan, but I do love Henson and his fantasy worlds When I say I'm not a big fan, I mean I don't know much about it since I haven't watched the movie since I was a child, and haven't really watched much of the new stuff either. So I basically went into this book with very little knowledge. With that being said, I found the history and how Thra came into being very interesting.

This particular book describes how Raunip came into being and how the UrRu and the Skeksis came into being, and saw how a chip occurred in the crystal. They also added some romance into the gelflings, and that was weird, but ok, I guess there was some romance in the movie? Maybe? I don't remember. This is definitely a great graphic novel for those who may be fans or those, like me, who have little to no knowledge of this world. The writing is simple, so my 4th grader can follow along well, and the art is very true to the spirit of Henson.
