Love this illustration style. Julie Flett has illustrated some beautiful books in her career and this is not an exception.

Richard Van Camp's words are simple but highllight the joys of parenthood. Could see this being a lovely edition into many home libraries, a very giftable book for new parents.

We Sang You Home is a sweet book about welcoming a new baby. It reminded me of On The Night You Were Born. It's celebratory and spiritual with gorgeous illustrations. This would also be great for a child who is adopted. A beautiful children's book.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.

Such a sweet and gentle book celebrating the arrival of a new baby. With a soothing and methodical rhythm, this book is a treat of a goodnight story for littles.

This is a very gentle, sweet book celebrating the arrival of a new baby. The text has a definite rhythm and is very soothing, so this would make a wonderful goodnight book for babies and toddlers. It's probably a bit too religious to be used in public school, but would make a wonderful addition to home and community libraries. It would also be an excellent baby shower/new baby gift!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

I received an e-arc of We Sang You Home by Richard Van Camp and Julie Flett from Orca Book Publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

We Sang You Home is a beautiful and lyrical book that celebrates and welcomes the arrival of a new baby to a family. It is sure to be new favourite for a baby’s first library and features beautiful illustrations from Julie Flett, a personal favourite illustrator.

Welp. This is just the most precious thing I've ever read. It's also really deep and joyous, and the art and simple language go hand-in-hand to make something really transcendent. Can't wait for this come out so I can recommend it to people looking for the perfect gift for new parents/welcoming a new baby.
