Unfortunately, I was unable to get to this one. I appreciate the publisher giving me the opportunity to read it. I'm just not sure when I'll get to it.

Few things in science are as complex, or controversial, as the cosmological mystery about dark energy and dark matter. The theory that dark matter rules the universe is approaching its 100th anniversary, although the first tentative evidence wasn't available until the 1970s. The issue is being addressed both by astronomical observations using telescopes and computer simulations, and wickedly sophisticated physics experiments in vast underground laboratories across the globe. This book deftly explains this vital and compelling topic that goes to the very heart of our understanding of the cosmos. The author presents a well-written, up-to-date, and deeply researched overview, enlivening what otherwise might be dull tome into a "can't put it down" narrative filled with personal insights into the scientists investigating dark matter. Schilling has a lifetime of experience covering astronomy and his knowledge makes this book an excellent read for anyone interested in astronomy, cosmology, and physics.
