Christian's grandfather dies and he gets the surprise of his life. One month earlier the will was changed and now in order to keep the family ranch and construction business he's built, he has one week to marry a childhood friend (Molly) who lives in NY and he hasn't seen in years.
So begins this novel. Molly lives in NY and is close to achieving her dream job when she's presented with this preposterous idea. But you can do anything for six months especially if it means being close to your family, right?
Ms. Kelley delights again with this sweet novel.

I know this was previously published in 2013, but I saw it on NetGalley and had to read it. I absolutely love everything that Pamela M Kelley has written so I knew that this would be another 5 star read (or listen). I can’t wait to get the next books in the series!
Molly lives in Manhattan and is up for a big promotion of the Clarendon.
Christian is a rancher and real estate developer.
He and Molly are childhood friends.
Christian’s grandfather passes away but leaves a will that will play match maker from the grave.
They must marry each other and stay married for 6 months or he loses the land and developments.
Can / will Molly leave her beloved NYC and help out her friend?
I listened to this version via NetGalley. The narrator was clear and easy to listen to.
#SixMonthsinMontana #NetGalley.

This was a cute, marriage of convenience story. No steam, and actually very little from Christians POV at all. I did enjoy the food talk and Montana setting though.

I enjoyed this sweet book. Pamela M. Kelley is becoming one of my favorite authors. I will look for more to listen to.

I have read a couple of books prior to this one by Pamela Kelley. I have enjoyed her books, so I was excited to dive into this one. The plot of this one was slow building, yet the story still felt like it was short. That would be my only complaint is that it could have been longer and included more. But I did enjoy this one. The arranged marriage between Molly and Christian was a fun aspect. It was slightly predictable but that didn't change my liking for this one. I listened to the audiobook and would recommend it for a short listen!

A clean romance; the first in a series.
Christian's grandfather died and his will includes an unexpected catch- he must marry childhood friend, Molly, and remain married for at least six months to inherit the ranch. Molly and Christian were good friends as children, up until her family moved to New York. They haven't seen each other in years. But they were good friends, so living in the same house for six months should be easy, right?
The author's writing style is not for me. There are far too many details and not enough plot. I am fairly certain I could cook several dishes solely based on the explicit detail in this book. Details are good, but there is a point where it actually distracts from the story.
I listened to the audio version of the book. Patricia Santomasso, the narrator, does a satisfactory job. I wasn't blown away, but it also didn't make me want to scream, which is good, lol.
I received an audio copy in exchange for an honest review.

When you’re in the mood for a light and fun romance with a marriage of convenience story, this is the story for you. In a sweet, Hallmark style romance, a country girl who long ago moved to New York City is summoned back to her hometown in Montana in order to learn about a recent inheritance. Turns out that in order for her to inherit what’s been left to her, she must wed her childhood best friend and rancher in town. This is a sweet, predictable and an enjoyable romance to entertain you for a few hours. This was the first marriage of convenience I think I’ve read in a contemporary setting, so that was an interesting aspect for me to read about in the story. I’m glad I could give this new to me author a try. Thanks to netgalley for a review copy of this book on audio. All opinions are my own.

Sweet, wholesome, quick read
Summary: The usual: the inheritance is only in reach if two old friends get and stay married for six months. Christian's grandfather will only leave the inheritance if Christian marries Molly, who moved to NY and hasn't seen him in ten+ years. She puts an amazing promotion on hold to do it.
Audiobook: Mostly told from Molly's POV and only one narrator, but she's a good narrator and I liked the production.
Honestly Molly gave up so much for the deal and got very little, and Christian was insensitive and not likable so I never found myself rooting for them. The relationship was exactly as expected, which isn't a good or bad thing, but it doesn't make this book stand out.
I have nothing against this book, it's a fine wholesome read/listen, but nothing really drew me in either.

I am always drawn to books set in Montana, where I currently live, or in North Dakota, where I am from and currently work. I love hearing the names of cities and towns that I know so well. Obviously, this immediately drew me to Six Months in Montana!
Six Months in Montana is an easy, light romance. As I listened to the book, I kept seeing it play out as a Hallmark movie! They should definitely pick this up as a script for a movie 🎥 🍿
The book’s premise revolves around Molly and Christian. Christian’s grandfather’s will comes as a shock to everyone and Molly must decide if she stays in NYC with a job she loves or if she goes to MT to fulfill the wishes of a man from her childhood.
If you are a Hallmark junkie like so many out there are, I do think you will enjoy this book! 💕

This was the authors first romance book I believe. Christian and Molly were childhood friends. After a meeting with Christian’s grandfather the will was changed and there is a stipulation that they are to be married and stay married for 5 months. This book has zero spice in it. There is a lot of cooking references. Almost so that it takes over the book. If that is not your thing please skip. Overall it was a cute read. Predictable, but needed something more.
I received this ARC through #netgalley and I am voluntarily reviewing this book

This was a cute marriage of convenience book! It was hard to see the connection between the two main characters, but the ending was very sweet.

3.5 stars
This was a cute book, but I have to admit that some things were resolved a little too nicely for my tastes. Six Months in Montana is a story that has been tried before - Christian's grandfather left Christian the family business on one condition - he marry his childhood friend Molly and they must remain married for at least six months. Although the plot works in this story, but I would have liked to see a few modifications - I would want the ex-girlfriend to take a leap off a cliff; I wouldn't want so many people to know that their marriage is a farce simply to satisfy the requirements of his grandfather's will; I would have wanted to hear more from Christian's point of view and I honestly would have wanted to have seen more chemistry between Christian & Molly. Molly was the one that gave up everything for this deal - she moved from NYC to Montana to marry her childhood friend and she had to live there for six months. She was on the verge of getting a promotion when she had to ask for a "leave of absence" from work. Christian only had to give up his girlfriend that he really wasn't committed to anyway - so no big loss on his end. I honestly wasn't a fan of Christian in this story because he just seemed fairly clueless and he didn't fight for their relationship at the end of their 6 months. All in all, this wasn't a bad book, but it wasn't a great book either.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.

The audio of this book was hard for me to stay engaged in. The storyline was not one that drew me in, unfortunately. The love story between the characters were lacking and because it was short I was determined to finish, but could have done with out. I had much higher hopes for this audiobook. But thank you Net Galley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC audio and the chance to try out a listen.

Forced by a provision in his grandfather's will, Christian must marry Molly, his childhood friend, and live together for the next six months in Montana.
I do like marriage-of-convenience romances, silly as they can be, and so I was expecting to like this one as well. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did quite a good job injecting life into the text. The book is well-written and I rather enjoyed all the description of food, though it got a bit much at times. Molly is a likable lead.
Unfortunately, this book has a major issue - despite being a romance, we barely spend any time with Christian, the hero. Worse, neither does Molly. I never felt that the novel was particularly romantic, as they settle into the marriage like an old couple, and there's very little tension.
Not a bad book, overall, but a bad romance.

I truly enjoyed the adventure of Six Months in Montana.
I recommend this book to readers who enjoy adventure, friendship and romance.

When Christian’s grandfather dies, he stipulates that Christian is to marry Molly for at least 6 months before Christian can inherit the ranch. He lives in Montana and Molly, his friend from long ago, lives in New York. Molly is willing to come to the ranch, will have the opportunity to see her aunt and mother, and she has inherited the Rose Cottage from Christian’s grandfather. She plans to spend the time renovating it for a bed and breakfast. I loved the setting of the ranch and small town with a great community where the town supports each other. The relationship between Christian and Molly blossoms and she must decide whether or not she will stay. Great story and characters!

Molly is living her best life in Manhattan. She’s got some good friends and a job she loves with a huge promotion on the horizon. Her childhood friend Christian never left the town they grew up in. He stayed, loves ranching and fully expects to inherit it from his beloved grandfather. That is until his grandfather throws in a clause to the inheritance that requires Molly to return to help him and the hundreds of people he employs. Hmmm. What to do?? It’s a sweet, fun, love story with a totally unrealistic plot line that though it leaves me to wonder what insane attorney would wrote that up and what court would ever enforce it and yet it works and is a lovely listen. Im a huge cynic and yet this drew me in immediately and I enjoyed the listen. Looking forward to more from this author. Love her and this book is one of the reasons why. Enjoy the listen.

Solid romance story with good pacing and a good narrator. Strong characters with good chemistry and heart. If my library was had a more adult patron base I would purchase this book. I also think the new book cover will draw more current romance readers.

Love, love, love this new series by Pamela Kelly. This is book #1 in the Montana Sweet Western series. I love her books anyway but this one is her absolute best in my opinion. A fast read, 4.5 audio hours. I could not put this down. I had to know how it would turn out. Childhood friends agree to marry for six months per the terms of a will. Without the marriage, Christian will lose his ranch and his business. Will Molly agree to go through with the wedding? They can do this for six months, right? They are just friends. At least when they agreed to get married they were just friends. Funny how spending six months together can change things. Excellent narration by Patricia Santomasso. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
Thank you to NetGalley and Piping Plover Press for this advanced review copy. In return, I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

Thank you NetGalley, Dreamscape Media and Piping Plover Press for this ARC Audiobook of Six Months in Montana by one of my favorite authors Pamela M. Kelley. The book is narrated by Patricia Santomasso who has a very pleasant voice.
This is a light and charming story which leaves you with a satisfying feeling. The recording is a quick 4 hrs, 35 minutes. It was the perfect companion to accompany me on my daily walk and half a sleepless night!
Molly Bishop loves living in Manhattan and managing a boutique luxury hotel. She's about to be promoted to her dream job of General Manager, the role she's been striving for her entire career.
There's only one thing standing in her way.
The will of her childhood friend Christian Ford's grandfather. She hasn't even seen Christian in over ten years, but a recent run-in with his grandfather during a rare visit home resulted in a new condition to the will. Christian will only inherit the ranch he's been running and the real estate development business that he has expanded if he marries Molly and stays married for at least six months.
