Good intentions abound in Michael Leppert's novel Flipping the Circle. The book is described repeatedly throughout as a "political thriller." It involves a scheme to monopolize vaping, and, ultimately, marijuana should it ever be legalized in Indiana. Vapers may be more thrilled by the story than I was. As a nonvaper, I saw that certain lobbyists and legislators were up to no good, and I appreciated that someone was calling them out. In that sense, I found it to be a good novel. I was not prepared for the author's religious searching. It did not add to the novel, at least imho. His romantic searching was tied into the religious aspect.
Thanks NetGalley for the ARC.

Finally a political 'thriller' that isn't masquerading as as terrible trump or bumbling biden hit piece
Great story, different setting and it makes us think there are some good people out there.
Nice work

Normally I love novels like this but for some reason I couldn’t get into it. I picked it up and put it down so many times that it left me frustrated.
Maybe I’m being more critical than usual as I’m spending most of my time reading these days and therefore there is stiff competition. Either way I don’t think this book is going to find a place on by bookshelf or in the post for a friend.
