I love the direction this series is going in, with Frieren slowly becoming more exposed to the idea of just how short life can be. A new character was introduced, which brought a bit of comedy that I found really enjoyable. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Frieren's development as the story goes on!

The second volume in this series really solidified my interest in this story! I really like the concept of a person who lives for so long that they are mostly forgotten and look so young that they are underestimated. I'm really interested to see where this story goes!

Thank you to NetGalley and Viz for a free advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, Vol. 2 was a solid continuation of Volume 1. New characters are introduced as Frieren continues her journey and learns more about what it means to live. Readers are given hints that something bigger is coming. Volume 2 ends with a new revelation about Frieren's past, and I'm excited for Volume 3.

Received a digital ARC of this book via NetGalley.

Part 2 of the series. I’m loving this story! It’s a tad bitter sweet as the reader follows Frieren’s flashbacks on her time with the hero’s as she leads a new group on adventures.

This was a great continuation of this sweet series. This volume ends on a cliffhanger and makes me want to read more. Volume adds some much-needed tension and action into the story. The first volume was a great foundation but didn't have the oomph that it could of. It felt very slice of life, which I enjoyed, but wasn't hooked. This one improved with some plot and suspense. This also had to do with the addition of a dynamic character to the party of Frieren and Fern. This one really reminded me of D&D and a character (Frieren) being the only player from the old campaign slowly letting themselves open up and adding to a new party. Cannot wait for more!

This second volume in the series is even stronger than the first. Now that we have a good sense of Frieren and Fern's characters, their actions and interactions are more fun. There's the added bonus of a new character joining their party, the former apprentice of one of Frieren's first set of companions. I liked him, he added some levity to a mostly serious plot. It seems like the plot is setting up some interesting things, and i can't wait to see where it goes.

I really enjoyed this second installment in the story. Frieren is truly growing as an individual, and we see that as she works with her apprentice. She has softened towards the people she trusts over time, and we get to truly see the level of her powers in this particular volume, and I really enjoyed it! Would recommend continuing!
