I didn’t like this book very much, I didn’t feel that it portrayed Downs Syndrome well and it was far too short. Not nearly enough information!

This is a sweet little story about a girl who just wants the chance to play with the other girls. Along the way, she is able to show with a little patience and a little help, she can play!

A heart-warming story with an important message for any kid about acceptance, empathy, and kindness. Our main character Sierra faces a difficult social challenge, but by speaking up for herself and through others' caring is able to overcome this hurdle.

The title drew me in as I love this instead of saying "disabled." I loved following Sierra's story and any child is able to make connections with their own difficulties that they have faced. Hopefully books like these lead to a more empathetic population.

This is a cute kids book based on the author's daughter who has Downs Syndrome. Sierra dreads going to school because other kids won't include her, saying she's "disabled". But sweet Sierra proves to couple of girls playing hopscotch that she too can learn and play with them. Good moral to the story.

Differently Abled is a children's book based on the author's daughter Sierra with Down's Syndrome. Sierra goes to school where she doesn't fit in or have friends and the other kid's don't think she can play with them because she has a disability. I checked out the author's page and you can get this book in English, Spanish, French, and Chinese. Seems like a good one to add to school libraries!
